I sure am glad he's added in his shipping costs on the crossovers, god forbid that he wouldn't get that $16 back.
Nice speakers, BTW.

Two of my toys
hey i got a summit! what a fun rc car!! i have it and a slash ultimate. they are both a blast to take bashing. the slash is a lot of fun at the local skate park.
It's fun taking the Summit to the 4x4 meets - when you are back at camp and the big rig is parked, you can get the little rig out and play. It is fun.

Some work on the plastic of the horns may be beneficial, while it's all open and the drivers are removed.

One of the first "viral" videos I ever saw on the internet was of that gentleman attempting to show off a wax cylinder (I think on the original Laport tech show - can't even remember the name now).
Thanks for sharing this Schu, very interesting.

I'm going to install titanium tweeter diaphragms in a he KLF's this week
Good choice and while you're at it...if you've got the bread...pop Crites' midrange diaphrams in there as well. The center image will be fuller/smoother and less narrow as is with the stock. I did this with my 30's as well as reinforced the cabs and extended the ports. All these simple mods will make the KLF sound like how it should sound....leaps and bounds better than the original stock.
Thanks for the advice. I'll look into the mid diaphragms and ports. What are the benefits of reinforcing the cabs? Mine don't have the loose baffle problem that some had.
You may not think you have loose baffles - but when you get them open, look at how poorly they are glued. If they are like others I've seen, not only does the glue not stick to the melamine, the glue was totally absent on about 30% of the seams where it should have been.
Don't get me wrong, I think they are worth re-gluing and while you are in there, no reason not to add some bracing. Mine are done and I love them.
Here's an idea of what I did to them....

Must resist.
If I jumped on every good deal that popped up, I'd be a hoarder. And poor. LOL

LOL, the rocks are certainly part of the sonic shaping. Move the pile left, move the pile right.
EDIT: I sure don't have a golden ear or anything, but that set up there, all those klipsch being driven by an onkyo HT and it really sounds good - even in stereo mode. I'm surprised. I think the bedliner helps.

Sold to absolve2525, a fellow forum member. We met halfway and did a partial trade that left us both happy campers. Glad they stayed in the Klipsch forum family.
Well done and congrats. Keep us posted.

bet you can pick up some tail with that.

They would go well in my bedliner
Bedliner?
I was with him on the refinish job until then.

I don't mean to be so critical, because on the plus side, these really would make great garage speakers or shop speakers, or even boat speakers. Anything where they are exposed to rain and wind.
Or, would work well in my bedliner man cave.

I feel the need to mention that most KLF-20 have the "loose baffle due to improper glue compound".
Google it and you'll find alot of info.
That being said, I have a set of KLF-20's that I'll (probably) never, ever let go.

If I were nearby..... I'd keep them unopened.

Rockhound,
Those 201's look sweet..... Enjoy!
If you happen to make it to the Razorback game in LR next weekend, give me a shout.....I normally set up my 301's for pregame/tailgating, but thinking about pulling out the big boys I got from Colter......362's and 682's......since Brad Paisley is doing a concert beside us after the game. Brad won't mind a little Cash!
That would be cool, 301's fir tailgating, nice.
Rockhound, those are in great shape, you did good, imo.

Ya, I got that with my ChII's that I just sold - a couple of people wanted them shipped (Not counting the email that offered above asking price, never specifically mentioned the speakers and would have an "agent" arrange for shipping, bad spelling, classic scam).
I did end up driving mine half-way to buyer, but it was cool, because we met at a friends farmhouse, and we auditioned the speakers outside! What a joy, I really loved the "no walls" sound. I never heard those Chorus2's sound so good, it was amazing.

That's a great deal, I bet they don't last long.

thanks for all the kind words.
Speakers are sold!

I talked to him and he just wanted them to be gone. He knew they had some value but didnt know exactly how much. His word was good, I didnt get the call,so I guess the guy didnt checked out
UPDATE When I called about the Ks and he said they were spoken for, I asked if he had any other gear. He said everything had come from an estate and he had basement full of gear. He told me I had 1st shot at it. I just called, the guy from Indiana bought everything he had. So his word wasnt as good as I thought
Mark
Dayum. Going from 1st shot at it to being told it's all gone to another guy is a letdown. You made the effort, the word was given... then nothing. I think that's crap.

Unfinished? That would be have nice to see.... good deal.

+1 or anywhere without so much light pollution.
No doubt. I live in the city and am constantly bothered by the noise, light, ect. (I can't move right now)
