  1. Probably this guy that Jason is referring to............
  2. There's a good deal for a pair of cherry RF7II's in the Alert section of the forum.
  3. What a beautiful room and awesome set up! [Y]
  4. Most definately. I'm not impulsive and try to be patient but man o man, I'm dying to feed these 7's an energy drink!
  5. Ironic, I read the exact same article while researching. After much consideration and calling the dealer on another subject I returned the unit to him. He looked up his cost after he sent it home with me and was glad I returned it. It would of been great for 2 channel but I need one that's more geared for HT. Sometimes the thought of such a sweet deal creates blinders in regards to the pros and cons. After thinking of the age and lack of features as well as the size of that monster, my search continues. After a lot of reading and reviews I am leaning more and more toward Onkyo / Integra although Marantz is still a strong contender as well. Thanks for the input guys!
  6. I'm still shopping for an upgraded receiver / amp for my RF7II's and stopped by my local audio store. He is downsizing and re vamping their in store theater room. He offered me their DEMO unit with very few hours on it for 500.00 and a 200.00 trade in for my Pioneer. So for 300.00 out of pocket, I could get this unit that retailed for 3600.00 At 70 lbs. this thing is a beast. He sent it home with me to demo but I won't have time until the weekend. The only drawbacks are that it doesn't have HDMI or room correction. It does have 7 optical inputs so a work around for my HT shouldn't be too difficult. I've read several post here on Integra and all seem favorable. There was an HDMI insert board available for this unit at one time but after contacting Integra, they only offered it for a short duration as they had too many issues with this option. He did however mention that they have a trade in program. I could trade this in on a DTR-80.3 plus an additional 1600.00 I'm hoping some members experienced with Integra can chime in with their thoughts....as always thanks for any comments.
  7. RF7II Box = 54" H x 23" W x 18" D
  8. sorry for getting off topic Jason.......
  9. lol.... took me a minute to get that!
  10. What exactly does that mean? I am running 2 subs at the moment.
  11. I just measured my box. The RC64II box is 41" w x 13" h x 19" deep. Others will have to chime in on the RF82's
  12. I'm shopping for a new AVR with pre outs or a pre/pro and amp for my new RF7IIs. I demo'd the 809 yesterday at my local audio store. The largest ref. speakers they stock are the RF82's but this Onkyo sounded very nice on them. They are selling these NIB for 699.00 and I would like to get some opinions. I've never owned any Onkyo equipment so any thoughts are much appreciated!
  13. I use this on top of my Pioneer. It has 2 speeds and is very quiet.
  14. Anything without Samuel L Jackson! I like the dude as an actor but geez.....he pops up in every movie I start to watch!
  15. One cool feature of Airplay if you are hardwired to your modem / network, you can turn on the receiver from any computer within your network thru itunes. Just click the airplay icon in itunes. To enable this in the receiver go to: System setup>Network setup>network standby>on
  16. Battle Los Angeles has some great effects.[~]
  17. I was half way over to the appointment with cash in hand and decided to just put the cash aside for RS62's. I still went to look at them as a courtesy and they could of passed for brand new. He understood and had another buyer waiting but since I called first, he gave me first right of refusal. Anyways, I'll be better off limping with what I have and waiting for what I really want and also what best matches my fronts. Mike at ASD did make me a nice offer when I ordered the RF7s but the wife shot it down. I was lucky to get her blessings on the towers and center and didn't wanna push my luck or pull my suitcase.[:#]
  18. That's awesome! I remember his OP and you making the offer after seeing how close you were to his location. This has to be without a doubt one of the best forums I have joined. It's so great to see such nice members helping one another even if it means sacrificing their own personal time. Way to go Wuzzer![Y]
  19. I'm currently using my VS14's for surrounds and they are so so for now. I will upgrade to RS62II's once my budget permits. My question is, will RS3's be a big improvement over the VS14's? There is a pair in excellent condition on my local CL for 150.00 and am wondering if this would be more of a lateral move or a big improvement on what I'm using now. As always, thanks for your thoughts and any input!
  20. It's called iControlAV2 I use it on my ipad. That link is from the Pioneer website but at the bottom there is another link to the download. If you've never had airplay before, you are in for a fun experience. Especially with a networked receiver........
  21. Jason, I think you will be very happy with your choice for the bedroom. I've been running my 1021 for about 6 months now and it is very impressive at it's pricepoint. I just upgraded my front stage and am still using it until I make the jump to separates. I gotta tell you that it's doing a pretty impressive job with the new speakers. Airplay is awesome as well as the Pioneer app for an iPad or iPhone if you have either. Makes a great remote and allows system set ups and tweeks on the fly. Good luck with your purchase.....imo, I think you will really like the Pioneer.
