So you guys are basically saying its about a $100.00 fix, which isn't bad. Just curious if you think misuse or abuse causes that issue and should I be looking at anything else in particular. Thanks.

A local pair of Cornwall II's are for sale near me for $500.00. Haven't seen them yet but the guy says one woofer doesn't work, he said the voice coil is rubbing. Other than that he says they are in excellent condition, serial # on one is 8662509....what year is that? What does this kind of problem indicate? Misuse? What am I looking at money wise for a fix? What else should I be looking at as potential problems? Thanks for any and all info. I plan on using one between my Klipschorns down the road. John

Just picked up a pair of 901's series VI from an estate sale for $175.00 with stands and the proper EQ included. Gotta say for the money I'm happy with them for a laid back and warm sound. They don't crank up like Klipsch but are worth 175 all day long.

What brand equilizer would be most recommended for low noise and affordability. What is the difference between parametric eq and graphic? thanks

Hi. Been reading here now for awhile and I finally joined the forum. My dad just passed along his 1978 Klipschorns to me that he bought new when I was just a kid of 8 years old. I already replaced the caps that I got from Bob Crites but they are original other than that...they are great. In the process of finishing my basement and they will reside there as the focul point of the room. Sorry guess I really don't have a specific question just yet since I'm still just trying to soak up all the existing info I have found here. Just wanted to say what an amazing forum this is and that I didn't realize how much there is to learn. John
