Colter goes Danley!.........my condolences.
I know first Claude and now Michael !
In Michaels defense he still has a Klipsch speaker or two sitting around.
and those Danley Subs are very impressive !

I got them.
I was really only looking for one (center) but the deal was to good to pass up and they were very close to me.
Mark and I were on a very similar time frame although I never posted about it.
The guy emailed me around 5 a.m. Monday saying I had to look at them that day or they were going on a moving truck as he was moving out of state Tuesday.
I didn't know Mark was still interested until he posted they were sold. I did offer Mark everything minus the 1 non Pro for what I thought was a fair price but he really needs them about as much as I do (or he's pissed at me).
I make it a habit to never go against Forum Members . I have PMed people to see if they are bidding several times.
Anyhow I have them and I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them except the nonpro LaScala is going to my son as a center for his LSI Splits.

hey guys this just in......
My wife, after giving me the ok on the 11th/12th, realized that we have a family obligation that weekend. Would the following sat the 18th work for you guys? Im looking into seeing if I can work around the obstacle of the 11th and still keep that date. Stay posted, but I wanted to see if the 18th would work in the event that I can't get out of this.
thanks
Lemonstring
Probably better for me as well .
I have a Table Tuba to bring along if the room is available for me and my folded horn.
That would be awesome !

I am In. I am also up to hosting down the road even though I have a modest signature. Jim can come to Northwest Indiana if Chicago is to far, lol. Others could also bring small pieces of gear to demo.
When did RF7's become modest

I know you've been to ClaudeJ1's . That's a tough act to follow !
As far as a place worth the price of admission . I was lucky enough to visit Michael's " House Of Klipsch" recently. That is worth the price of admission !!! I was a little nervous to meet the legend himself, but he couldn't of been nicer !
I would be more than happy to host a get together , Klipsch Forum Members are welcome anytime ! (Except the early A.M. on weekends)
So many of the "Chicago" members are close enough together, I think we could travel a little during the day and experience many systems. I know there are several listed that I would would like to hear.
Any How I will follow this thread to see what everyone wants to do

This tells us that the name reference was nothing more than a name and had no standard to meet by klipsch.
Oh brother. The new Reference actually has a lot of the same tech as Reference II. Same with the soundbars.
Times are changing. People want soundbars and we are the company that can actually make them sound good. 5.1 market is shrinking more rapidly than anyone can imagine. We simply have to adopt our tech into a new form factor. Tractix horns in both.
Without lines like the new Reference, there would be no Reference II. No Heritage. Period.
Sad but True.
Even though we love our big old speakers we aren't the ones that will keep the company afloat. If it wasn't for the new stuff and soundbars . There wouldn't be the new KPT-1802 and our beloved K402's would no longer be available. The Heritage Line would disappear as would Klipsch as a whole.
I don't care what they call any of their speakers as long as it keeps the company alive and moving forward. I don't care what you call my speakers ! When I listen I know what I have and that satisfy's me. Most of my friends can't tell you what model's I have but they do know they are Klipsch !
I think we should be more concerned about the product and or value improving than the names they use!

I like the pissing off the neighbors slogan. I also like the Big Sound No Bullshit slogan
You put those with a stack of MCM's or other pro gear on a shirt and I'll take several .

Golden, didn't exactly answer your question. Try to talk the seller down a little, be happy with whatever success you have, and purchase the 20s. They are wonderful and full sounding!
you could not buy the woofers for $400.00. Buy them check the baffles front and back from the inside with a rubber mallet to make sure they are secure repair if necessary. Buy ti diaphragms all around brace the cabinets damp the drivers and the cabinets damp the horns rebuilt the crossovers. you will have world class loudspeakers.
This man is an authority on these and several other Klipsch models. Listen to what he says!

KLF 20's in excellent condition for $400. I'd buy them in a heartbeat !

Agreed. I miss my Belles but they are in a good home. I'll have a pair of Belles again some day.

Congrats

Welcome
Is the problem on all sources (CD,DVD,Etc) or just one ?
You might have a bad cable, or this happened on my Denon and I don't remember exactly what it was but I had one source (lets say DVD Player ? ) That would shut down at high levels on one input ( lets say DVD ) I switched it to another input (lets say CD) and all was good ! It was strange I could put another source on that input and it was fine. Worth a try at least
Car speakers

I'm pretty sure Klipsch never made car speakers.
As far as car audio goes (although it's been a while) JL Audio and Focal were good .
