So what your saying is that if I narrowed the angle, the dispersion wouldn't be as wide, or lets call it higher directivity. I kept the same angle of 30deg because that's what the Belle had. Overall, I like the design and look.

you going to do a dry run? to make sure everything works?
Im with cecca, I want to be at the party too.

We can also help you spend your money.
For now I would stay away form bi-amping.

I took a quick look at the software, don't know how it works.

Well crud. It advised me that I needed a state of the art direct/reflecting system made by bose. Said something about their acousti-mass bass module being just enough to satiate my desire for deep, room filling sound.
I love this place...

Lol wonder how much you'd have to fudge numbers to get them to suggest kpt-904 for home use lol. Think they were rated for 1800 sq ft rooms lol!!!
im with you.

Hi Guys,
What was originally just an idea in my head, I did a little work on the design this morning over a coffee and wanted to throw this out there to get some more feedback. I have some un answered questions, however i think this might be the solution to my centre channel Blues. I kept the same angle for the horn throat which is 30 deg. however the horn extends further than the original. the horn length is a bit longer, which makes the mouth larger. it does however follow the same line as the Belle at 30 Deg.
1. What are the dimension of the angled piece in the centre of the Belle Bottom. 2/14 by ??
2. Because the horn length is a little longer, what effect with that have?
3. Inside the doghouse, you can see that the magnets are quite close to each other, they will be within 1/4 of an inch of the one behind it. Will the magnets on the drivers affect each other?
Yesterday, along with a few tweeks on my sub, i pulled my centre channel apart, I am currently using a La Scala bottom, 510, 703. it sounded fantastic. I thought this would closely resemble what i am trying to achieve with the Belle Bottom.
Thoughts? Should i change anything.

I think it might work. Its worth a try. im thinking the best thing might be to cut it as flush as possible using a circular saw. You coiuld either use a belt sander or the flush cut router. A hand plane or electric plane wont be any good. because of the ply wood grain, differences in each layer will take out chunks.
edit: I wouldn't use a jig saw, I think I would clamp on another piece of wood to be used as a guide to run a circular saw. this will at least give you a straight cut.

If you can ship them, I might be interested.
Also I've sent you a pm.

If I remember correctly you don't want to coil your cable, it turns into an inductor with a magnetic field? I think you'd be better to cut your cables to length. Go easy on me if im incorrect, its been a long time...

I'd like to hear a "blind taste test", Best Palladium has to offer up against Cinema line. 2 channel, not subs allowed.

I learned something today then too. hdmi audio is better than optical. I currently run optical...until the next upgrade I guess...
You guys are the best....
Why wait... Just pull the optical cable and start using your HDMI cables... Unless you don't have HDMI..
im using hdmi out to projector, but optical out to amp. amp doesn't have hdmi yet.

By the looks of it, that woofer looks to be small, certainly not a 15 inch. maybe 10?
-
Ok, I will have to give this some more thought then. I might have to build a slant riser.
