That was a quick sale.

These only play Lawrence Welk.
No wonder the weights look brand new. I don't think I could do a max set with "A-one and a-two" blaring from THOSE K-Horns. [:S]

Why do I think of R2D2 when I look at them?
They kinda do. Except R2D2 has more bass! []

If alter them you must, have trouble selling them you wiiilll. Hmmm?
LMAO!!!
You just KNOW someone out there in the Galaxy will think they are just so kewl they HAVE to buy them!

I'm new to this site!!!
Welcome! This a great Forum to be involved with. Some great guys who know their stuff. Never be afraid to ask a question. Oh, the badges...
Badges? We don't need no stinkin badges! (From my favorite movie!)
Yes, I happen to have a pair if they are 3" X 0.5". It will be $55.37 for the badge and $23.98 for shipping and handling (send me a PM with your info and you can have one...just buy me a beer next time we meet!).

Believe it is 89 pounds for the chorus
And they sure ain't made from solid oak!
-
Musta been a real good price. They have sold already.
-
It would be best if you can post a pic of the badge you have. Then we can see what you need.[]

what exactly are these? how old are they?
They are Vertical Cornwalls Decorator models. They were built in 1974.
-
The posting has been deleted. Sold them pretty quick.

Dropped off woofers locally for re-cone jobber.. Should have them in about a week or so.. will post pics late next week..
Nice! Can't wait till you get them back and installed.

Guess I got the deal of the day.....lol
Congratz! Nice catch. Welcome to the forums. Glad to see another western New Yawker!
-
I took your advice, Mongo, and went back in to recheck every screw. This time I relied on hand strength (and I have alot) rather than setting the clutch on my cordless drill to put them all back in. Turns out almost half of the woofers screws would draw up snug but not tight. So I did the toothpick trick and kept putting more of them in the hole till they just wouldn't get any tighter. Did the same with the rear panel.
I'm glad it worked out for you. I learned that trick from reading these forums! [Y]

For anyone looking, I have an amp I'm selling that has unlimited power but only if you have unlimited cash flow.
LMAO! Does that include an unlimited warranty?
For $40.00, I sure would hate to see pics of the speakers. [:^)]

scam...or hijack account
$105.00 bid right now. No reserve and won't sell unless they get $2K. Plus, that sure looks like a water stain on the bottom and a circular plant stain on top. I sure would avoid that auction.

can the Academy be used as a center channel?
Another Heresy would be the best choicefor a center. An Academy would be my second choice. I have an Academy between a pair of Chorus IIs and the Academy works just fine, IMHO.
-
and how do you blow out woofers in scalas, you must have put some serious power to em
Add beer at a Halloween party with some heavy metal and that equals blown woofers.[:$] I have an ATI amp pushing 150wpc.
-
I have an Academy between Chorus IIs and, IMHO, keeps up nicely. I did have to back down on the CIIs as not to overpower the Academy. But it sounds good to me. I believe the KG 1.2V will not hold up very well for you.

Weren't Heresy's considered bookshelf speakers?
I thought Heresy's were considered the center channel for the Heritage line. A little on the large side to be placed on a shelf.
-
did klipch ever make a 3-way book shelf speaker?
Yeppers...the Palladiums.
-
Next bid on them is at 640.00. I don't like that grain cracking. I wonder if it's all the way through the top.
nicest Scala"s i"ve seen

Bidding ended at $1114.00 with 21 bids. Doesn't say that if the reserve was met. I wonder if he realised if that was enough for the speakers.
