  1. Ok, been playing after doing my honey do list for the day. How do I get my sub active on the airplay function? My tower sound good without but I like having that slightly lower thud when listening to music. Figured scrappy may be able to help me since he's got a similar model?

  2. Firmware update corrected the problem, whew! Got a little worried, now to play with it! It's my first Denon, always had Yahama's so this is completely different to me. Wishing my computer (laptops that collects dust cause we use our iPads for everything) would hurry up and update so I can switch my harmony smart control functions and load everything up and see what this puppy will do. Thanks for the advice, I almost waited but came home today to nothing coming out of the surrounds.p so I knew I couldn't wait until Black Friday

  3. Gave $550 for my 3312 June 2012 Full 3 year Warranty, New in Sealed box.

Just saying be patient, there are deals out there.

I couldn't wait. My yahama was on its way out the door but she was a good one for the stuff she did for me!! I went and picked up the X-1000 today, has enough on it and in it to do what I'm wanting. Problem is when I run audyssey it doesn't seem to find my sub. I changed the settings on the sub like it told me to and it still doesn't see it. Any ideas?

  4. It is expensive and really is a last resort but sometimes it's your only alternative. As a satellite TV tech the thing I hear customers complain about most is the surprise cost at the time of installation. Hughes net has improved a lot but beware installers are sub contractors and are not restricted from charging to install the dish on a pole. For the installer to provide a two inch pole (electrical conduit) concrete and put it in the ground might add a little on the spot expense, (close to a hundred). If Directv does satellite internet in your area and the job is done by an in house tech the installation probably will come without hidden charges. I believe Wild Blue is the name of the internet provider that Directv is partnered with so you may save if you bundle the services. Also be aware of lease agreements which can be a long time if your unhappy with the service. I have talked to people that are very satisfied and like rural living so much that the lack of speed is a small price to pay.

We install exede (formally wild blue). As a directv installer myself too I would recommend if you're forced to go with satellite internet to go with exede. It does come with a 24 month contract but the speeds are pretty insane from where they use to be but you're also limited to how much data you can use. It comes with unlimited between 12 AM and 6 AM so any downloads that need done can be set to download at those times. You can even game online with it but it is NOT recommended. We don't charge for poles or anything else except custom labor such as wall fishes or long buried runs from the dish. I would stay away from Hughes net. I've heard more and more people complain about how bad it is. I don't have either, I'm lucky I enough to have a broad band connection in town.

  5. I was in the same boat last year but due to a leaking roof I was unable to purchase a new AVR so this year I'm making it a purchase hopefully on Black Friday in hopes of getting a good deal. I've narrowed down what I think it 2 good options. I'm still only needing 5.1 but the 7.1 wouldn't hurt in case of an impulse upgrade on another set of speakers. Only thing I don't like about either one is they're spring fed connections for the speakers vs the banana plug method. Any thoughts?

  6. I went through the same thing with my SW-112 sort of. Contact klipsch directly, I wish I would've went that route vs going back to my dealer. He's ruined me on anything from him. I've since started traveling to Indi for all my klipsch addiction

  7. how could you possibly be dissapointed with a free replacement... sounds great to me.

He's disapointed that he has a broken product and no ETA on a replacement.

That's why I'm disappointed. I paid $600 for a sub and got 5 months of use out of it. Knowing how most things are made these days I'm not upset about the sub being bad, stuff happens. But the fact I've got $600 in a sub sitting in a box somewhere else with no eta on when ill get the replacement is just kinda bad customer service IMO. Just wish I would've handled it all myself that way I would've had an idea of when I should be receiving my replacement

  8. Well klipsch has offered to swap the entire sub out with a new one. What's weird is I took my sub to the dealer Monday and I called today and he hasn't even sent it back yet. He said he's waiting on an RMA ticket to send it back. How long am I gonna be without a sub? I'm really kinda disappointed about the whole situation. I'm glad they agreed to swap it but who's holding up who in this deal and how long has people waited for replacement equipment?

  9. I'm not doing the amp swap, dealer told me to bring it to them once klipsch responds with some direction. If they sayntake it there he would be the one having the amp replaced, I'm just worried its going to happen again. I mean 5 months in and it's rattling already kind of makes me wanna swap it out entirely for maybe 2 smaller subs

  10. Nope, only because the dealer said if I do that I take a chance of voiding the warranty. He said Klipsch has started cracking down on DIY'ers and said to just wait to see what they recommend. I'm more wondering what everybody else thinks about the cause/issue

  11. I bought my sub back in February and its worked flawless up until about a month ago. I noticed a rattle noise so I started to investigate and realized after I've moved everything that could possibly make the noise (even removed the blinds to test to make sure it wasn't them) I've found what I believe is the issue the amp. When I push firmly on it it stops, I'm waiting on klipsch support to email me back and I've spoke to the dealer that sold it to me. But 1, any idea whats caused this and 2, .how exactly would I fix this if they tell me I'm SOL? The dealer said I should be fine and he'll order me a new amp for it but is it the amp itself or maybe some form of padding that's no longer doing its job and causing the noise?

  12. So my boxer that's 2 years old now is starting to destroy the house again and I noticed when I leave the tv on she stays mellow for some reason. Is there anything wrong with leaving my AVR on radio and let it play throughout the day? Am I taking life off the receiver and powered subwoofer or does it really matter?

  13. And lastly, has any one ever ordered from that website? I noticed is all refurbs and that sorta worries me. I don't wanna spend $300 on somethingnthatnhas scratches all over it or some blemish that.l bug the crap out of me. And the reliability, any issues? Sorry for the questions, just curious

  14. Only being 80 watts a channel, I'm currently at 100 watts a channel. Isn't this a bad thing to go with less wattage? I was told its better to have more than less as it results in less clipping and less likely to damage a speaker with more vs less?

  15. Hutch if you don't need 7.1 then you should go with the 1713. It has the better audyssey. Same as the 2113. Did you check accesories4less? I'm telling you read up on the difference in the filters on the audyssey.

Actually I don't NEED 7.1 plan was to get it and add the KB-15's at a later date and just bi-amp my towers until then. But I'll check it out. I'm still extremely new to the whole audyssey stuff. Like said, this Klipsch system even though lower end is my first actually legit first surround sound. Always had make shift systems so I'm still learning the ropes. This website is like a sick addiction! I catch myself looking at klipsch gear all the time now and now I have no cure available until broke or divorced! Before you knowmitnill be cleaning windshields and selling peanuts for a set of khorns or something! But I'll for sure compare the receivers and specs of the audyssey

  16. I can't budge in the budget unfortantly. If I could I would go with the 2113ci but I think the 1913 is going to have to do it. Price is the hardest part on this one. I think I can manage with the 1913. I don't see a huge upgrade anytime soon and most of my system is 100 watts or lower so it should do me fine

  17. Why Yamaha ?, that's fine if there is a reason but listening would be best.

I believe this is completely how your ears are. I have a base line 366 running an icon series and it sounds good. Now obviously icon isn't reference but for my HT setup it sounds good and solid from high/mid/low. I will say it does lack some midrange but I blame the settings for this. I would own another but I'm ready for change

  18. Ill just let it sit in the front of the living room until I decide I what I wanna do with it. Maybe a garage sub? Who knows, I've been tinkering with the idea of making a complete game room (video games, I'm a huge gamer) and using it. It don't sound bad but don't that great either

  19. Well I tried for giggles. Totally killed what bass I had. I'm assuming they're different in phase and the PDR-10 doesn't have a switch on the back to change it so it is what it is, I tried going in the corners next to the towers and well, lets jut say I tried it. Case closed, guess ill be trying to find another use for this old thing. If the grill was in better shape I'd try selling it considering it still sounds decent but my dog about 8 years ago got in to the grill when I was gone trying to eat the emblem off the front and really did a number to it. Needless to say I ended up using glue on the bottom of the fabric and making it halfway decent

  20. So after I bought my SW-112 I don't really have much use for my PDR-10 except a some what decent looking game informer collector. Would I notice anything or make my system sound some what abnormal or bad by hooking a Y-adaptor to the back of my receiver and running the 2 subs at once? Or would this cause too much of a difference in the frequency in the room with them being totally different spec sub?

  21. I forgot, I need to keep this upgrade as cheap as possible. Almost ended up on the couch for several days ( which wouldn't have been bad considering I could've stared at my new sub while I slept) when I came home with a new sub. Wife about killed me! I don't know how you guys have been able to convince your wives that its a sick addiction that requires help once you start buying this stuff but mine is not budging! Any ways, I really need to stay under $400 and that right now is to the brink of pushing it. I'm a vapor (analog cigarettes suck) and I need to replenish my stash so is it better for a certain time of year to catch really good sells?
