  1. Sorry I took so long getting back, my wife had a death in her family. As for the suggestions, I actually went and listened to the 1913 and a couple pioneer elites. I can tell a difference but not enough to where I can sleep at night spending the money on the pioneer plus I'm running a lower end Klipsch system (icon) so I may keep looking. The 2313ci I think is the model number caught my eye but haven't really had a chance to hear it yet. I'm able to get it for 379 but don't know if it would really make much difference. What would adding an amp to the 367 do for me or can this even be done with it?

  2. My walls are "Cherokee rust red" and it wasn't on purpose but the boss lady liked it so that's what it became. Worked in my favor though because when the lights are off its dark enough to where the only thing I see is my LED on my sub, my monster power center, and the AVR lights.

  3. I use it with RF-7 and RC-7...On content with heavy lows, i get the lows... but in regular TV or some music - i feel like it lacks mid-low and it leaves me with a feeling that it's not programmed correctly. On the other hand Elite that i had before was very well rounded in all respects.

This is the main reason I'd like to get rid of the 367 and get something different and I've heard a lot of people who like their denons. Never heard them with klipsch speakers though

  4. I have desire to own a pioneer. Yes this sounds horrible but here's why. I owned one, fried it 2 days, exchanged, fries in 2 days, exchanged, yup, fried in 2 days. My father had one, worked like a boss for about a year and burned up. I know this is prolly just a fluke and there is nothing wrong with pioneer. It's just I've got a bad taste in my mouth from them and I'd rather not venture down that road again. Thanks very much for the link, I seem this same receiver in another thread and thought about it very hard and I just couldn't convince myself to pull the trigger

  5. Any thoughts on this AVR? I'm looking to finally get rid of the base model Yahama 367 (shes been good oddly enough). I seen this and I know its 7.1 and I can always repurchase the KB-15's for the rears and move the KS-14's to side. Until then I could bi-amp my towers until I could catch the KB-15's on sale again. Seems this AVR would work for me but I'm curious what everybody thinks or knows about this. I've always had Yahama's but I've seen several Denons in homes (I'm a tech for a satellite company) and most people are in to them. It'll give me about 35 watts more per channel and also does trueHD and decoding from what I understand. So with that said, suggestions?[8-|]

  6. I recommend setting your speakers to "small". Let the sub handle the lower freq. by doing this you're taking stress off your speakers and AVR and letting the sub do the job it's meant to do. Also, the "large" and "small" settings have nothing to do with the overall size of speaker. Always confused me. I seen a thread on this somewhere on here but I'm unable to find it now. I'm sure somebody can chime in with it

  7. I have a complete icon surround with an SW-112. The money I put in to it wasn't that much but just a little more and I could've had the reference series just by deals here and there Netherlands icons do the trick for me some I'm not too disappointed but if I was gonna do it all over, I'd go reference just so I wouldn't have any if that "fever" and wanting to upgrade

  8. Well I've tried and tried to tame his sub, it's either there (well known) or I'm struggling to hear it. It's sitting in a corner, about 6 inches from the side and maybe 2 inches from the back wall. If I move it to the other side would it help? The other side is open to a door way and I'm hoping maybe moving it over to that corner would help it. I'm also considering moving behind the couch, can't stare at it back there but maybe it'd help break up the boom from it. Gain is 1/2 and power level is just a smudge pass the 1/2 way. I also have the sub settings set in the receiver to even (0 I think is the correct term) also have the sub phase set to 180. Any ideas?

  9. I dropped the gain all the way down to just a nick past half way and lowered the sub level in the receiver (totally forgot I had it up to make up for the PDR-10 I was running) and just slightly moved the volume on the sub to a little past as well. Sounds much better, kid is sleeping so I can't really do much until he wakes up. Ill keep everybody posted on how it sounds.
