  1. Got it worked out! I called Xilica Support and they emailed me the new updated USB driver for the new Mac operating system which was not yet up on their website. My operating system at the time of this post was macOS Sierra 10.12.5. Works perfect now.
  2. Would you like to see the two channel overkill of the century using Heresy III's? Try two Heresy III's bi-amped to THREE amps!!! I hooked my Emotiva XSP-1 pre via XLR's to the Xilica XP-4080 and out to three amps! The two Emotiva XPA-1L mono-blocks are running each 12" woofer in the Heresy's. The Parasound A23 2 channel is on mids and highs. The Xilica was set to full bypass and crossover work was handled through the passives in the Heresy III's. They were sailing at 110 db and clear as could be! Emotiva XPA-1L, 250 watts x 1 @ 8ohms Parasound A23, 125 watts x 2 @ 8 ohms I did this the other day while waiting for my Jubilees to show up. Trent
  3. Yes- about 12" from the back and side walls. I turn them about 30 degree towards the center of the room.
  4. Too much power??? Want to see the two channel overkill of the century using Heresy III's? Try two Heresy III's hooked through XLR's, to the Xilica XP-4080 and out to three amps! The two Emotiva XPA-1L mono-blocks are running each 12" woofer in the Heresy's. The Parasound A23 is on mids and highs. Too much power??? Nope!!! I did this the other day while waiting for my Jubilees to show up.
  5. 12 AWG speaker cable from Monoprice. That's what I use and I've never had any interference. I think any decent speaker wire is fine. Others may laugh but it's good stuff.
  6. Bela Fleck- Flight of the Cosmic Hippo Pink Floyd - Learning to Fly, Time and Coming Back to Life Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow Stone Sour - Zzyzx Rd B.B. King - How Blue Can You Get from Live at the Regal Disturbed - Sounds of Silence Guns and Roses - November Rain Santana - Maria Maria Dire Straits - Money for Nothing Childish Gambino - Redbone I watched Logan tonight- awesome. Tried the phantom center but prefer the Heresy III as a center. Cut the subs at several settings but ended up crossing the Jubes at 80hz for movies in the end. I listened to the new Imagine Dragons LP, the new Stone Sour LP, Def Leppard Pyromania LP. For 2-channel I only used the Jubilees- no subs. They are that good- especially with the LF boost Chris A gave me for my Xilica XP-4080. Then select Santana, Pink Floyd, Bruno Mars, Rush, 2Pac, Led Zeppelin, etc.
  7. (Update- page 3 for REW curves and Xilica settings for my particular room from Chris A) 'm up and running!!! Everything went smooth today with the delivery. I was listening within an hour. A great big thanks to Chris A for his knowledge, help and Xilica settings!!! These things are awesome!!! Huge thanks to Cory @MetropolisLakeOutfitters it was an awesome purchasing experience. I ended up talking to him on the phone several times. Super guy and knows his stuff when it comes to a special order like this. Since I bought Jubes from him he even gave me a killer deal on the Xilica XP-4080 and a couple of Parasound A23's. Now that I'm broke, lol, I'm going to retire down to the dojo and have a listen. My first impression is these things look big and sound concert big. I was very nervous selling my Klipschorns, but these Jubilees are definitely the next step, and it's not a small step! The bass kicks you in the chest and they actually dig pretty darn deep into the 30hz range. Drums are unreal through these things!
  8. Progress!!! I manually assigned channels in the Xilica with no crossover settings and my Heresy III's are now biamped and running using their passives. Big thanks to Chris A for sending me some settings for my Jubilees and how to import some settings- very nice guy! I'm Jubilee ready and excited for Monday!!! Huge thanks to my dealer for the Xilica, Parasound A23's, and the Jubilees!!! Now I just need to get my basement back together (came home to a broken main pressure control valve yesterday), and for the hearing in my right ear to completely return (scuba complications last Saturday and Sunday while diving in Cozumel). But believe me the glass is more than half full. Best vacation ever with my sweet wife- 25th Anniversary!!! I just think it's comical that my dream speakers are coming while I can't really hear out of my right ear and my basement is in shambles. First world problems for sure! Thankful for everything! Stay tuned! — feeling excited.
  9. And Boom!!!! I'm up and running using a Windows 7 machine I borrowed from a buddy! Took longer to install the software. I'll need to call Xilica on Monday to see why my MacBook can't communicate. I'm sure it's something simple. Thanks Chris A for your help!
  10. Hmmmm getting frustrated... My Jubilees should be here on Monday. Needless to say I thought I'd hook everything up to my Heresy III's for the time being to play with the Xilica XP-4080 and REW just to get familiar and be ready. Unfortunately I'm running from a MacBook Pro and Xilica only provides support for XConsole through Windows on their included USB that comes with the Xilica. I did find XConsole v9.04 for Mac on Interstate Audio's website so it's up and running, and I'm guessing I'll be ok to do this. Unfortunately... I can't talk to my Xilica through USB or the Ethernet connection right now in XConsole. I know USB won't work until I install the driver, but I can't seem to figure out how to update the front USB port on the Xilica without a windows machine. Im not sure why the Ethernet isn't working. So... I'll need some help from those that have figured these awesome Xilica machines out. I know I know... patience...
  11. I see your room measurements are in meters, so I'm guessing you're out of the U.S. The best thing to do is get us some pics so we know which 535s we are looking at. Good luck!
  12. My experience... I sealed my Klipschorns to the wall with pipe insulation. That added noticeable low-end bass. The most notable improvement was when I went from powering them with a Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver to powering them with two Emotiva XPA-1L monoblocks and SLAM!!! Say what you want about equipment, but 75-95 db of music with the monoblocks had much more bass! More volume had ridiculous bass! The monoblocks are now on my LaScalas and I'm hearing bass I'd never heard from my LaScalas without a sub.
