I have been in to music for lots of years but never really got in to jazz. I brought my first jazz album kind of blue by mr miles Davis. The sound was the best I ever heard though my klipsch rf7s. I have never heard those horns sound better. It seems like the klipsch horn was made for this type of music. I have owned the rf7 for many years and was blown away! I guess am going to have to start exploring the world of jazz music. Any suggestions my klipsch people?

That being said They look to be great and if money was no object they would be on my list.

I think he would say they r out of most people's price range that's not what the company's about. He would have made them more affordable. American made top quality is what I think of when I think of klipsch . I lease American design. Most things r not made in the us anymore.

I have had my monster cables since 1999 do you guys think it's time for new ones. If so which would be good company? Thanks

Rf 7s 1 My dads fortes back in the early 90s 2 That's the only klipsch I have heard in a home setting I heard the klf 20 on the store they were great to very clean vocals. How do people compare them to the rf7s since they r similar in driver size?

I Mean when listening to it low sounds like an listening to system full blast. Dam spell check!

Mine is not the top but not entry it also has high current lines. When plugged in it just seems like the vol controls are hotter and more bright listening at lower levels sounds like an listening to it really loud from a dynamics stand point. When amp is in wall I hear very detailed sounds also it being very pleasing to the ear a much warmer cleaner sound. Maybe it's the klipsch horn that's showing this because it's very revealing. Just my take on it. Did not think about lighting? Good point.

A rep at century stereo in San Jose said it was best to do what I was doing because he says the power amps have enough protection in the design of most amps to be ok. I have a monster mpa 2250 2 ch amp and said the Panamax will some what sap the current that the amp needs to perform at its best. For those big bass heavy peaks.

Was wondering if it's just me or have others experienced that the sound of your set ups change when u have a power amp plugged in to a power conditioner to me my amp sounds better simply plugging it in to the wall instead of the Panamax. I do use it for my sources and pre. To me that's presenting the best sound. How to others think about this?

I do agree with you joeinid that the pre amp is the foundation of a 2 ch stereo. It presented me the biggest upgrade in sound . I have used lots of different equipment with the 7s but I think this one sounds the best to me.

Parasound does make really nice stuff. If people want to know more about parasound I would recommend checking out a you tube video of John curl designer and I think the vice pre of parasound doing a class about the company. It took place at a retailer in San Jose called century stereo. It's a good watch for audiophiles. It's about 1 and half hrs long some but some time a side to watch! That's actually where I purchased the halo unit. The video made me feel confident in my buying and that I was invested my money wisely in the halo check it out.

Thanks guys Yes the halo does have ht by pass but I don't have the need for 2 ch stereo only. The would work great if it was intagrated in to a ht. I would recommend it to anybody who listens to music in there ht but not 100 happy with the sound. It will make a huge improvement in the sound. Best 1k you will spend for your set up. Before I was using a hk pre pro in stereo. It does how ever have a little hum I can hear at low level listening that was not there until I installed the halo what gives. Ground? Maybe

i am really happy i just bought myself a new pre. best up grade to my system. the parasound halo p5 its a great product. lots of things at that price. my system consists of the original rf7s yes after 14 years they are still kicking. monster mpa2250 power amp, the new halo p5 , marantz 5004 cd player and also macbook pro for streaming music. loving life right now.

does xlr cables really improve sound? if so what is different compared to rca analog outs.
