  1. yes thank you, i suppose there is always something to learn this is certainly not really worth my time so i'll reach back. tried replying in private message, not sure if that was successful,so the intent of original post was as stated no hidden motive .lets put this to an end . cost of spkr 35$ you determine cost and carrier you wish to use. let me have information , ( i would prefer usps less agro for me) we will decide how this cost is to get to me . upon you receiving the speaker in the un-damage condition it leaves me , should this be the case, you send the 35$ if this does not alleviate your concern there is no further need to continue this with anyone else.

  2. strange as it might seem i know nothing about private mail , and doing pictures on line.techno challange,,read your post ,should you chose to have the speaker it will be sent in the box i get from Klipsch , or walk through private mail up to you.

  3. hey quite understand your concern don't want anyone picking your pocket especially today of all days,

this is one of two , my grand son poke a hole in the other and i went ahead and got two new ones from klipsch, this is how i come to have this one . cw1 sq mag,1976 i believe ® I'm only responding at this time to be respectful . for me its an inconvenience to try and keep. i respect the fact that you had determine what you would be prepare to pay should you need it . the reason for me posting here instead of ebay i'm not looking to be underhand with any one . obviously if i can get a few $ fine, for any one who really need one the info is there.

  4. bud man i don't do pictures, understandably you're not suppose to buy a cat in a bag, my cell # 305 336- 8728.

i did say dont insult me but make me an offer if you are really interested, i'm not planning any project and don't really want to keep it around.what ever we discuss feel free to post.

  5. hi all,

as i'm trying to following this topic and trying to understand the concept and ideas of those more knowledgeable, weather the battery needs to remain in the circuit,

with the battery out does the constant influence of the dc voltage negates the benefit of any internal bias. to maintain the ref point the battery would need to be replaced as it degrade,

  6. neutral aught to be the ability of any system to reproduce sound to the hearer as one would speak to

another person ,as a group of people might speak their invidual voices would be reconise by all others

in the room, plus should one be a distance away, that distension would also be revealed.

but since we dont all hear the same, there are aids that we use to bring us to that place of acceptance.all the other adjective are used to describe how far we are away from our point of satisfaction.

are they then establish norms, presented to qualify the differences.

  7. thanks for the link , I did'nt know bob sold recone kits , thought he only sold his replacement type.

seems too finiky for me. unfortunately seems to end up with spare parts, leading to many thoughts of

projects to take on. Trying to restrain myself from the uncompleted projects.Thinking of projects i

need to get some velcro to secure grillcloth and prevent damage from reaccuring.

  8. After a few weeks without cornwalls , damaged by grand son ordered new woffers

which came today, unespectdly, i had already done all that i could,

check tweets and mids tighten screws on tweets, mids were a bit loose

thighten those,i initally felt sadden when i first felt the weight of the new

woffer the magnet looked puny and anemic, and after the outlay on these speakers did i make the right call. I'm glad they are not suppose to be baise on looks.

Thanks to all who through their experience has aided in how these speakers are

to sound just by taking care of the small details.

  9. in my particular case grand son turned the pre all the way out , this might not have been the only factor, it just happen to be the result , call it coincident.. this might not be the same in your case , not sure how, and if this is something that can be checked without a lot of trouble ,it would just clarify , and eliminate. i'm sure if you set your system to stereo and do your check it will be easier to determine this issue if you hadn't done so. looking at speaker you would never think there was any separation. i only came to this conclusion because the one that plays is mechanically sound, and the other isn't ..hope you are successful in your search

ie the electrical wiring from +to- is unbroken thus your circuit will read its value.

  10. hi, i've been keeping an eye on this topic because a similar situation has occur to my corn, fortunately the backs of both my speakers are off'

did the ohm test and all that, the reading were very similar . .1 or .2 ohm. even moved the networks , no change. as i said the backs of my speakers are off, so as i went through and re-read the post and just out of curiosity, check the cones and found one of them detached from center. although i knew i needed a new woofer trying to find the problem was bugging me , i think because of the similarity of the issues the answer most likely will be the same . the electrical circuit is not at fault its the mechanical attachment.hope this helps.

  11. Deang my comment in re-guard to Al , is in no way intended to be a slight, i try to be as

careful as i can to convey my thoughts , i believe Al designs and the results that were glean through

his efforts is well documented. I'm,not an Engineer though i imagine good ones not only deals with data

but also the resulting sound ,

the question was asked why no response ,its great to have testimonial, a good sales man needs an audience

knowing his product will exceed his competitors.. Knowing there is nothing inferior in your offering

let it be known. I'm sure PW Klipsch wasn't shy about the sound of his speakers,

  12. hi all,

to the question at hand why no interest,no one is prepared to be a trail blazer , plus there is a lack of competition between ideas, differences between, Echo 81 , , and Scott were always very engaging. People had strong opinion and would defend without wavering, Craig carved out a place for his stance .the P-cat and blueberry was birth out of these

    differing points of view.

Al k imposes his network to a degree against the statsquo,

you also with the RF7, although to me it seems like the press was not prolong , then the diy really emerged.

Now there had and have always been aid for those who showed an interest in building or repairing their pieces from those more knowledgeable.

We saw many badly built units from the past, i,m sure Echo& Scott did'nt carc how their units were built . bottle head offer a kit . with the option that they can build it for you,

if you choose not to and it dos'nt work they can repair it at a price . Not saying they don't care, just give option to buyer to build their own

I'm sure most here are aware of your ainality to built quality. Like in most item for sale the responce is whats the price.will i get bang for my buck, can the ear be seduced.

    just one man's opinion,

  13. hi boomzilla, sorry to see your issues are still with you, as you try to solve the boomy bass , i am not sure if you have already tried and disregard

this option , since you are unable to place speakers in current corners , why not create temporary false corners to see if this may solve the issues you're

having.if it does you can work on a more permanent solution.

this might eventually be resolve with amplification, or even reconfigure sound panels, some times to move forward we need to start anew.

  14. from my limited exp the Harman Kardon avr 1700 to me seems to be a sleeper. initially i was a bit dubious

because of its weight, but was pleasantly surprised, Especially for $200 , at best buy.

can always try it and return it, if it does not meet your needs.

Can't remember who purchased the hk 3600, he should be able to give better insight seen its further up

    the food chain. good hunting

  15. Daddy Dee, most grateful for your advise (to determine a base line) just realize that what i'm trying to do is to

customize my system.repeating all i have done so far, had detracted from the substance of the statement,my

base line is where i'm now.

i'm going to try and get a resistance value from spkrs to and including wire from amp.

Mr Dean you brushed the surface with much depth.

yes, v caps was another complete network before idea of splitting them, just to see. so i still do have another

opposite set that i'm able to try, for comparison

  16. Daddy Dee

thank you for sharing with clarity as to the course you took when you got your la scale , and the route with

different crossover and caps. Please don't get me wrong, you did not say what made you decided to go that

route .Was there a particular area that the alk outperformed the the stock in or just across the board better.

As to all the suggestion they are valid and in particular to the base line, ive lived with the stock which, sounded

good except at higher volume, purchased a set from bob which was better . was able to compare stock to

bob's,, compared bob to v-caps which was less balance to me, too much upper range. And as stated before

switch bob'b 4uf for v cap and they never sounded better .So yes i've in this case found caps to be a possibility.

From what i've heard so far, the horn range seem to be capable of producing that upper mid. Remainder

might be ind,or res. just seeking others exp. thx

  17. hi , i've read the audio range as used by those on forum, i can say i really don't know a range as in a number,

and asking seems kinda odd. what i can say is i believe the range of the type(B) cross over is 600 or horn range ,

that is what i assume i'm hearing.

Now hopefully with that said understanding that there is an audible point of hearing, and a cut off point of

    cross over .

this is how i could best describe my upper mid statement. if this is an unrealistic request ,it might just be in my

head. And supposing i'm a little crazy, trying different things might be the only way to get there.

  18. moray, thanks for your response and welcome, this certainly is someone to talk with as i try to evaluate some

thoughts and experience.I have dealt with bob in the past while he still had his stock of motor caps.

actually only recently i removed his 4uf cap for a v-cap with very good results.( as always trial &error)

sometimes to good result just never know.

more musical, able to play loud with stability. still feel a need for more in upper mid. I realize its difficult to talk

sound but hoping those who seek the same goal might share their exp. thx
