You might look into a downward spiral flush bit. They recommend them on the veneer site I shop at cause it pushes the veneer down as it cuts. Makes sense to me.

That does look like the better way to go.  I bet it would help with the glue buildup problem.  I'd be nice if they offered it in a 1/2" shank, but that might be overkill.

What veneer did you end up going with? Looks like a flat cut cherry?

Yes, it's flat cut cherry.  I ordered it from the Oakwood Veneer website here:  http://www.oakwoodveneer.com/cherry-veneer-flat-cut-american-black.html

I purchased the standard quality veneer, but if i were to do it again i would get the premium quality.  The sheet i received had quite a lot of small knots which made it difficult to get a clean section for the visible portions of the box.

The only trouble i've run into with the veneer is the glue gumming up my flush trim router bit.  I also had to be careful not to crack off the excess overhang at the edges of the box when using my veneer scraper.

  3. The Legacy sub that the driver was used in has a passive radiator.  I'm probably not going to buy one of these drivers since I'm going to be using two SI DS4 18" subs when i finally finish my build.

Although, if this driver could be used in a small sealed box, maybe i could fit one in the rear corner of my media room to fill in the mid-bass...

No idea how the driver is but for home theater use the Ultimax series is designed to go lower (I think).

I'm inclined to agree just based on the Fs value, but the motor on the Legacy driver looks much more powerful.

I went out there to their two day M school back in 2012. It was a blast. We got to race around with the v10 M5's, M3's and the 1M's. They give you racing helmets to keep as parts of it. That was fun to get home, people in the airport kept trying to figure out what I was carrying. Ended up buying a Blue 2008 4 door M3 later that year. It's been a wonderful car.

Sweet!  M3's used to be fantastic.  We had a 1994 M3 in blue that was too fun to drive.  I lost the car once, went sideways across a curb, and destroyed the suspension.  1994 was the only E36 version without traffic control...:(

My wife's RR Sport supercharged is 510 HP. It's a beast and way too quick for an SUV. I'm not sure why the soccer-mom cars are all such beasts now.

The problem with the uber-suv's is their combination of high mass, high center of gravity, and high power.  Bad things happen quickly.
