The quote of "It is a strong choice in this segment, and it is abetted by a 5-year bumper-to-bumper warranty which some of its rivals cannot boast.", appears to be misleading as Klipsch's own sub pages says "limited 5-year warranty" and their sub warranty page still says "electronics for 2 years". Anyone have anything to document different say vs. SVS's "5-year unconditional warranty"?
That does not pertain to the Reference Premier subwoofers. The limited warranty states the following:
warrants to the original retail purchaser that this product will be free from defective materials and workmanship for two (2) years on electronics and five (5) years on woofer, cabinet, and non-electrical mechanics on all subwoofers except the Reference Premiere subwoofers (RP-1000SW, RP-1200SW, RP-1400SW, RP-1600SW). Reference Premiere subwoofers will be free from defective materials and workmanship for five (5) years on electronics and five (5) years on woofer, cabinet, and non-electrical mechanics, from date or purchase, subject to the limitations below. This warranty period is not extended if we repair or replace the product.

To use as a center between your forte II or I?

Looking to buy a single Heresy II or Forte II in any condition.

Nice setup and very tempting if I was looking. Your only 30 minutes away!

Yes, overpriced. I've noticed a lot of overpriced v1 and v2 Fortes since the 3's and 4's came out.

That's what I use. Best to add a jumper in the crossover to bypass the x-curve

Facebook Marketplace is a good resource if you are wanting to pick up something locally.

Do you still have?

I use the Academy in both of my Forte systems

1 sub sold 1 sub left. Price reduced to to $250 plus shipping!
I have 2 Velodyne F-1500's for sale. Both are in great condition and work like they should. Currently setup in my media room. I'm asking $600 for the pair. May consider splitting but if I could sell both together it would be my preference. The previous owner of one of the units did have the power cord replaced. Shipping will be substantial as shipping weight will be near 90 lbs per sub. So, a local buyer would be best. Sorry for the dust in the photos!

Forte II being used w SW10 subwoofer

The subwoofer has a fixed 6db per octave 120hz crossover on the speaker terminals leading from the subwoofer to your speakers. Therefore, the Forte's are seeing very little low frequency information. Your sub is providing low frequencies below that. If I were you I would adjust the Low Pass crossover setting on the back of the subwoofer to somewhere between 90 hz and 120 hz and you should get a seamless blend between the speakers and subwoofer.
