  1. These are great stories and pictures. My daughter drools over our systems when she comes to visit and grew up with great sound. Right now her husband is overseas in the military, but should be back in the states within a year or so. I've set aside enough Klipsch and electronics to get 'em started with a fine system as soon as they are stateside again and can't wait to give it to them!

  2. I'd be all over it if I wasn't well stocked with speakers. Why the low price? Possibly because Montrose is a small community away from the population centers of the front range. Not sure. Might check into it and see if he'd part out the sub.

  3. The Heritage sound of LaScalas will sound as good as the 30's but "different." I have Heritage (Cornwall III's) in a 2 ch system and grew up with K-Horns and LaScalas. Have the 30's in a HT system. They're all great, but have different sonic qualities. Best of luck on the purchase.

  4. You guys make me look like a rookie. I've got 12 klipsch. Cornwall III's (1pair), 2 pairs of Heresys, and 5 KLF's plus a klipsch sub in a 5.1 HT. Been more into upgrading electronics the past few years than speakers. For the right deal, that could change! Cheers to all.

  5. Great looking amp. I'll have to give Yamaha another chance one of these days (but probably not for $8K!). I've seen some really good reviews, too. My only experience with the brand was way back in the day and limited to cheapo receivers from big box stores, which was not a good indication of what Yamaha can do. Let us know how this beauty is working out for you.

  6. 12:07 we have a grandson!

That's excellent. Don't worry about what you'll be called - the kid will name YOU!! At least my grandson did ... he couldn't say grandpa but he could say "Bee-pa" and that's what I've been ever since. At least for now, he lives with mom and dad overseas, but will be visiting in the next week or so. I am blessed and so are you. Just sit back and enjoy the journey. Chuck

  7. Great story. I wasn't overly interested in great singers as a kid as much as I was into what was "cool." In that regard I got to see (and hear) guys like Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and The Who in or close to their prime. Good stuff. Now I wish I could have heard Sinatra, Tony Bennett,  Pavarotti and a few others back in the day.
