I'm in San Antonio, and I just received the 15V about 2 hours ago. Much like RF 7 II's, pictures really don't do it justice. I also like the finish, it's kind of like bed liner so nothing to ever worry about with it. I was thinking it wouldn't be enough, but it get's the job done and then some. The build quality is also very impressive, its like an M1 tank, lol.

Hello, I've narrowed to these two subwoofers. My living room is tiled 16'X25'X10, RF7II's, RC64III, and RS35 surrounds. I want a down firing sub due to dogs with tails. The sub will be mainly for movies, because right now I find that the RF7II's have plenty of bass for music. That's subject to change as time goes by, and I may want to start using the sub with them. At this time I only have room for one subwoofer, and one of these is what I will purchase, trust me that I've spent the past week researching everything under $1000 (the most I can afford right now). I like PSA's warranty, 60 day trial period, free shipping, and that they are made here in the states. But I'm stuck on deciding which one, and I'm not sure but looking at these specs it looks like the sealed version performs better. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have RF 7 II's, and just received my RC 64 III (haven't unboxed it yet). I currently have some lousy Synergy S10's for surround. This is all in a 16X25 room. 70% music use Yamaha Aventage 5.1HT system. Single level house, tile flooring. No desire to go to 7.1, but will go 5.2 eventually. I just purchased the mains and center, so I'm not really wanting to go over $500 for surrounds. Thanks

What do ya'll think of using these for L/R surround speakers? They have decent specs, and ***zon has them on sale for $398.99, regular $549.99. They don't look bad, but they are big. I'm surfing around trying to find the best bang for my buck, and ran across them. Thanks for any advise.

Youthman I agree with you for sure on keeping things the same. I was looking at CF, and they had them priced @ 1399 & 1499. I have found an authorized on line dealer (ASD) that has NIB @ 999, or open box @ 829. I'm going with the 64 II, but now that the prices are so close I've another dilemma to contend with. It's kind of hard to pay the same price for a center that I paid for one of the floor standers, lol. Thanks for all the help

Thanks Youthman, I didn't realize they have different tweeters. Dubs you were lucky, now open box/used are a minimum $800, I'll keep looking around though, thanks.

Hello, I finally got a pair RF 7 II's and am wondering if the RC 64 III timbre would pair with them. The two centers are only separated by $100 new. I see by the specs that the III is 2" deeper, and a few pounds heavier. Has anyone done an A/B comparison? Thanks for any help.

Well, I showed the wife these, and she,(like me) think the best course is to go with the Cornscala C's. Don't get me wrong, I really love the community here, but Cornscala seems really hard to beat for the price, and the best of both worlds is the most awesome part of the deal. I really try hardto get Klipsch, but it's really hard to find anything decent close by, without having to drive for long miles @3.30+ per gallon for gas, and then getting something used, replacing Xovers, or whatever's broken, the Cornscala's just seem like my best bet/value. Many thanks to all, and I really think I'll eventually(officially) join the community with Heresy iii's. I'm really fascinated by these little guys! Many, many thanks, and best wishes to all!

The AA's and yes redo the crossovers and start your offer out at $675 buy them for $750 and flash the cash...7-$100bills will likely do the trick! good luck!!

Get them critters as cheap as you can, ya got to figure no matter what you by, instantly your looking at crossovers $385 & Up.
I have a tech friend that can rebuild them for me for $25, if I buy the kits. What would be the second item to upgrade, woofers?

Which of these would you recommend for me to audition, and possibly purchase? I would definitely need to repaint both, but they have different crossovers, green have AA, black Al-3. I really want something from the Heritage series, and have been posting about CW's, but cannot find any close to me and if I like the sound, I think these will give me my Klipsch fix. Thanks for any insight!

I know the CW iii uses the same high/mid drivers as the Heresy iii, which doesn't seem right to me that they did this. So are the highs/mids too much for the Heresy or not enough for the CW's? It seems that the huge difference in cabinet sizes that this cant be right for one of them. Thanks for any input....

Thanks for the offers and advice everyone, but I think I'm going to just save up buy some Cornscala C's. Although there are some really sweet deals out there, the time involved to drive and pick them up, coupled with the price of gas driving a crew cab F150(14.7 mpg), I would end up around spending about the same for the Cornscala's(which really intrigue me). Anyhow, thanks everyone.

I live in San Antonio, and check S.A. and Austin CL daily, but nothing ever pops up. If anyone is thinking about selling, or hear of some for sale, and they live in Texas, please let me know. I really cant afford $4000 for new ones, right now, and I will drive pretty much anywhere in the state to pick them up. I'm also open to Cornscala's, and may just end up buying a pair of style C's if I don't have any luck with CW's. Anyhow, I will be forever grateful for any help! Cheers!

The old cornwalls also have a much better mid horn. The cornwall 3 uses the same mid horn that the heresy 3 has. Much smaller.
Oh wow, thanks! That info will get me moving in the right direction. Just one more question; other than age, are there any major differences between CWi and CWii?

I own rf7ii and cornwall 1s. Both are very nice speakers for sure. For music the cornwall is a monster. It has the bass of a giant sub and a dynamic effortless sound to go with it. It single handily brought me back to 2ch music. To where I can just sit for hours just listening. The cornwall 1 and 2 used might be a better value (sell around 500-1500 a pair). The rf7ii are also very nice and if buying new might be a better value than a new cornwall 3. The 7s cost about 2k a pair or less brand new. The corns I would guess are about $1,000 more than the 7s would. But if you go used and can find a nice set or corns for 800-1000 you would be a happy camper. They sell parts for these old speakers so you will have np getting them to spec of brand new.
Thanks,I'm always scouting on CL around Texas, and really have my heart set on CW's. The only thing that worries me about them is the 100w rms rating. Are they easy to blow?

Yeah, I went with the JBL Studio 590's, and after one week sent them back. They sound awesome, but the construction is very cheap. Very flimsy grills, and cheap plastic feet. One arrived with a broken foot, and I gently tried to remove the grill to check out the woofers, and "pop" went the grill peg. So I'm just gonna keep my CV's until I can buy me either the RF7ii's or CWiii's. I've been researching trying to figure out which will suit my music(rock,pop,hip-hop) best. I've been reading the CW's are best with classical and jazz, any suggestions?

Thanks for the help, but I think I'm gonna go another route for my fix. I went to BB to see the Icon, and the super flimsy grill just turned me off immediately, and they sounded really dull. I guess the last time I was there and walked by them, the bookshelves, and center must have also been engaged. Once again thanks for the help and dealer info. Cheers!
