I'll be sad to let my 35s go... :-(
They were my first real pair
Cheer up, everybody fondly remembers their first pair. But we also know that the first pair you grab aren't going to the ones you keep for life.
You're getting older now, it's time to move on, and I think this newest set might just be "the ones" you settle down with. We're all hoping these are the ones you've been searching for all these years, and that you can make it work this time.
I dunno...I think I'll always make sure I have a place for my RF-3 II's...there's a bit more sentimental value involved in them than just being my first pair.
-
I saw this, I thought about getting it...to expose myself to some of the earlier Klipsch builds, but I figured the only thing I'd probably do is end up flipping it - and I'm not confident enough in my knowledge of series outside of reference to do that (nor do I have the room).
-
I'll double check on that myself. Thanks for the info!

Yes, if luck strikes, RF7's will be almost free by selling RC7 and RS7's
I'm betting when he hears the set together he won't sell any of it.
Agreed...I'd for sure get rid of my RS-42's for a pair of RS-7's...

I'm just hoping the Lions don't buckle after their BYE week. I'll take even a single playoff win...

I saw those too. Alas, I have no place for them, I'm just about stocked up on speakers - and eventually I'm gonna get kicked out if I come home with too many more toys. lol

It might have been. We knew the sales manager so we got a deal I know...but how much of one I don't know. $500 might be an appropriate estimate. I did try Way Back but for some reason none of the pages would come up with anything. Strange.
I'll see if I can dig up anymore on that as well, go through all of the filing cabinets and see if the receipts got put someplace they shouldn't have.

Now you all have me on the edge of my seat too...

Awesome.
I bought them from a local dealer - now out of business called LaSalle Electronics.

And now to play the "I've Got Ants in My Pants!" waiting game...

DO IT!!!

I think I'd take the piano over the RF-7's personally. <3

I still see RF-7 I's going for up to $1200.
The RS-7's still go for between $350 and $500.
The RC-7 around $350.

No affil...not sure of condition, but if someone pushed on this it might be a good deal.

So, I'm not entirely sure where to put this topic. Sorry mods.
The time has come to say goodbye to some of my non-Klipsch speakers. I have a Jamo E 6 CEN and a pair of E 4 SUR's that I'm trying to find specs and MSRP for. These are from the pre-Klipsch days of Jamo - and I can't for the life of me remember what we paid for them. I've searched google and have had no luck at all...in fact there are hardly any pictures even of the E 4's. The E 6 continuously comes back as a newer model, with no reference to the older quad-driver system.
I don't suppose any of the minds here might have any ideas of where I might be able to find some info on these?

Damnit all...why...WHY CAN'T IOWA HAVE ANY OF THESE DEALS?!...I blame Gorm!!!

Mighty Favog was one of the first of Jim Hensen's muppets from the mid-70's on SNL.
You mean back when SNL was good?

My avatar represents my struggle against oppression … or a flashback.
i didn’t have a meaning in mind when i chose that one. But, i think that is how i see myself.
If you've moved to an undisclosed location, how do you know when you're home?
Maybe he's ALWAYS home...?

Dean! I've heard a lot of good things about the stuff you make. Sadly, my wallet's a bit tight for it, so I don't expect I'll be able to get my hands on them soon. But I certainly hope to hear some speakers with your upgrades soon.
Unfortunately, entry level is all I can muster at this stage in my life.

I wish I was as cool as thebes.

Klipsch, if you make a new RSW-15 or better....

If we ever get a store locally that carries Reference II again, I might do that. Until then though, I'll continue to look for an RSW or RT model instead.
