  1. The best I can come up with for Atmos is: http://www.klipsch.com/CDT-5800-C-II Basically an 8" coax that matches the Reference II's, and can be tilted. There is even a preconstruction bracket/enclosure that you can attach to the bare studs/trusses. Even if you didn't have it at first, you can install the enclosure and prewire for easy adoption later. Should be perfect for overhead Atmos. Unfortunately I finished building a year and a half ago and Atmos wasn't exactly on everybody's minds during the building process, otherwise I would have installed those enclosures.
  2. All I know is that I've grown to be bored with 5.1 audio. It's great for plain music, but a movie? Today's movies have CRAZY mess going on. 5.1 ought to be the bare minimum for when you watch a second rate movie on NetFlix. The idea that I'd be content with the idea that best that audio engineers can offer is that some side speakers come on, just like they did in the late 90's? Silliness. We can do better. Seriously, that was 17 years ago. I am perfectly content with the idea that progress is happening in surround sound formats.
  3. Klipsch didn't insert the vulgarity thoughtlessly, and I'm sure they have deliberate reasons for using that exact phrase. I'll speak for myself, I don't like it; I find it tasteless. It's 1970's thinking. In fact, it's 1970's thinking that didn't work even in the 1970's. I already have a Klipsch sub, but with that kind of advertising it doesn't make me feel like I want to buy another. I'm just not the kind of person who has such anger, that I want to buy a product just to piss off another human being. Personally I enjoy the unapologetic passive-aggressive old school marketing. I think nothing of it and sometimes it makes me grin. Being politically correct and nice is for Bose fans.
