    RSW 15 ?

Cool. I understand the thought of the irony of not ordering one mail order sub because of not hearing it but then ordering another mail order also never heard.

    RSW 15 ?

As I am familiar with them I stuck with what I know. SVS has an excellent reputation and there has to be something to it. I would love to hear one someday. But for now I stuck with what I know. Plus the "what I know" is on sale for $650 free shipping .

    Ordered sub

Will do. I live not to far from Parts Express so I should have it by Tuesday. And I happen to have the day off on Wed. So I will get it put together and play with it some.

    RSW 15 ?

I will be upgrading to RF7s with an RC7. For now I've ordered 1 Titanic kit to try out because they are on sale. But I'm still open to recomendations. If I don't like the Titanic I can sell it or move it to the bedroom.
  5. Congrats on the 5805. It sounds wonderful. I'm jealous .
  6. Why didn't you keep the cornwalls? Maybe pick up some RF7s and an RC7, RS7 set.
  7. I believe they are supposed to be available sometime this year.
  8. cool post. a well deserved 2nd bump.
  9. Thanks to everyone for all of the advice. I ordered just 1 Titanic kit since I won't be getting the RF7s until this summer. I figured 1 15" titanic will keep up easily with my R3-II speakers. the Titanic is on sale for $650 free shipping. I figured if I didn't like it I could sell it locally and get my money back. And if I do like it I'll order another one when I uprade to 7s.
  10. WOW! What did I get started? Would it be better to stack the 2 Titanics? Or place 1 by each main speaker? This will be in a multi channel setup and not stereo altough it will be used for stereo.
  11. Congrats on finally getting everything up and running. I know you had a long road to travel to get this system all together. Glad to hear you like it, you put a nice system together.

    RSW 15 ?

Thanks for all of the help everyone. Between my 2 posts i am starting to lean toword the single or double titanic kits. While SVS has an impeccable reputation I've never heard one. Coupled with the facts that I do have experience with Dayton and music is the priority it all sways my decision in Dayton's favor.
  13. Thanks for all of the great responses. As usual a lot of good information. Looks like the Titanic is the crowd favorite so far. Which is what I'm leaning towords since I have good expeience with Dayton and none with SVS. Although SVS has a great reputation. Right now, aside from assembling a kit, diy is not an option.
  14. Sorry for all of the questions but when I buy my new speakers and sub it will be the last purchase for a long time. OK my other post has given me something new to think about. With music the priority but movie performence also important. Would a pair of the 15" Titanic kits with polyfill stuffing deliver the performance I'm looking for or would I be better off with the 1 PC Ultra? Am I really going to be missing that much in movies opposed to what I get for music. This will be paired with 2 RF7s and a RC7. I am already familiar with Dayton as I have a 12"DVC powered by a 250 parts express amp.
  15. I have that same sub and amp combo in a diy enclosure. They work very well together. You should be very happy. Is your enclosure ported?

My dealer also carries the Martin Logan subs and the Paradigm servo 15. Are these in the same ballpark as the Rsw15 and the SVS?

    RSW 15 ?

I do have my cordless drill. It happened to be in the house. If I went the titanic route would I stack then or put one in each corner? Woof, that would be two 15s and 4 four 10s.

    RSW 15 ?

Music performance is my main goal. But I don't want to miss anything when watching movies like The Incredibles or one of the Star Wars movies. That said my current sub is a diy Dayton DVC with parts express 250 watt amp. Due to a break in in my garage diy is out of the question. No tools. Any reccomendations in the price range of these 2 subs?
  19. thanks for the replies Edit:I realized I posted this in the wrong forum and I will direct the rest of my sub ?s in the proper forum.

    RSW 15 ?

How low is a RSW15 capable of getting corner loaded in a room? I'm deciding between the 15 and a PC Ultra. Music has the priority but I still want good performance with movies.
  21. This 1 of only 2 forums I visit daily, or pretty much at all in the whole internet. I visit these 2 forums for the same reasons. Friendship and helpfullness of the members is outstanding. On here no one acts like thier system is better than anyone elses. Which is cool considering some of the systems people here have. And questions are answered no matter the level of the question bieng asked. Noboby gets talked down to, razzed a little maybe but not treated like he/she is stupid for asking something. This truly is a great place.
