Should i use my preout for sub? Also it got a lil louder when i turned up avr, and it seemed to hum when avr was on standby, i used a y rca connector for a second sub with my new receiver and that created a hum so i wonder if this old house im in has bad grounds, one sub doesnt hum with new avr
-
does anyone have an idea on what it could be, i checked all my caps and none are bad....
-
I read that most Onkyo have a floating ground and that its recommended to run a ground wire from back of Receiver Plate to outlet or other ground. I have a humming in my sub and sub only, a ground loop isolator worked ok but can still hear it, I took apart receiver and there are no bad capacitors....Im stuck

Yeah, i dont mind paying that much since i would get 12 months 0% but not sure of it was worth it compared to the find of rs52 in new condition for $325
-
Pair Rs-62ii new for $700 or used pair rs-52 firts gen for $325?
-

I've owned 52, 62 and now two pair of 62ii. No difference in sound between 62 and 62ii...merely cosmetic. RS62 sound bigger than 52 but not night and day. The 52 easily kept up with my RF83 / RC64
Well the rs-62ii were only 100 more so i went with rs-62ii , i also have rf-83, rf-82, rc-64, rsw115 sub

Equal for surrounds. At least in the smaller models. Obviously they only go up to a 5.25" model with RP instead of a 6.5" model like the big bad rs-62ii.
so the rs-62 is well worth the price jump?
-
Im debating new surrounds, either RS-42, 52, 62 or Rp-240, 250......any thoughts, who has had what and what do you think?
-
Wondering if the RP line is better, equal, or?
-
I assume its because of the quality rca splitter im using? when i dont use the splitter and hook up one sub no humming....
-
I recently started hearing a humming from my sub and it grew louder over time, i put a ground loop isolator on it and it helped, turns out it is not my sub it is my AVR I have the Onkyo tx-sr805, is this an easy fix, is it just a cap that needs replaced?

Thinking of purchasing this receiver while a good deal is going on near buy me....thoughts? Worth the money? Is it really all they say it is? Im currently running onkyo tx-sr805

Not sure why anyone would want to do this unless you had a pair of speakers for 2 channel and then different ones for ht. However, the 83'snare better speakers so I'd let them shine up front all on their own. Put the 82'd as surrounds or bathroom speakers or something
only reason is because we might rearrange furniture and dont have anywhere else to put them unless we keep the same then i can keep them behind the couch still off to the sides
-
Home theatre use only

Has anyone ever put these side by side in the front? if so do you run them all as fronts on AVR or as Fronts and rears?
-
is this guy offering shipping?? what color? lol... 64 runs 1100-1400 new. but i think pair of 63 is great deal for $600 just my opinion but I would jump on them
-
fast and inexpensive?
- banana plugs
i guess not fast i have it to where it works by using a spacer to allow it to screw tight but i dont like my nice speakers to be rigged OCD ;-)

My guess would be something was starting to go wrong with it. Guess you will find out once the 115 is there.
maybe i just need to add an amp, im getting the itch for more power so maybe a new receiver isnt needed....?
