  1. I'm thinking the K-402 will have to wait for future upgrades. I have some Eliptrac 400 from Dave Harris that i can put on top that will sound good for the time being. Thanks to everyone for all the information and help. I have some things i need to get rid of before i make my purchases but soooo looking forward to getting these into the listening room.
  2. Does everyone agree that he EV dx38 is a good xo for this application? What would be another option if I were to put 1 - 2k into it?
  3. Absolutely the favorite, the jerk for me into this stuff haha. Called Minermark, he doesn't have any Jubs or 402's but has a lot of MWM's. He's getting a shipment in soon so I may go take a look around.
  4. Talking to him now. My next question would be about an active xo. I currently have a Benchmark DAC2 and Benchmark AHB2 amp. There S/N ratios are really nice and i don't want the active xo that i get to screw this up. Anyone have suggestions on active xo's w/ DSP? This will be a 2 way system with future integration of a Danley DTS-10 or 20.
  5. Let me re-phrase, "Jubilee Like" cabinet.
  6. I'd probably go with whatever is cheapest. My uncle has some Tad 4002 that he's not currently using that I'd like to a/b with. Figure an active xo would be relatively easy to do that with.
  7. From what I read the 402 used is a unicorn. Got a quote for 1k with drivers from cinequip.
  8. Is there anyone on here that can build a jubilee bass cabinet? I'm very interested. Thanks
  9. BUMP 2 sold, 1 left new price shipped
  10. I know it's a long shot but i might as well put it out there. Looking for the end-game for my audio dream. Looking for both the Jubilee bass bin and or the K-402 horn. I already have the driver i'm looking for so i really don't want to order the horn/driver combo new. I live in St. Louis so something close would be preferable. Here's to hoping something pops up in a few months. Thanks. p.s. also looking for a nice active crossover for this application.
  11. Mmmmm Jubscala...... Anyone trekking from Miami to St. Louis anytime soon?
  12. I have a single Fastrac la Scala horn for sale if your interested. $130 shipped. Fastlane will sell the second as a single.
  13. I love my Dac-2 and AHB2! Benchmark is top notch stuff. Excellent equipment if you're looking for zero notice floor and huge sound stage.
  14. They are fairly shallow compared to the k400
  15. Sale fell through. Back up for sale
  16. I used the stock K55 1" drivers. I have a possible sale pending. I'll pm you if the sale falls through. Thanks
  17. I have 1 Fastrac Lacala horns for sale from fastlane audio. They are in excellent condition. I had plans for some custom Cornscala's but my plans have changed. These were the best upgrade I've heard on my old La Scala's. Below is a description from Dave's Fastlane audio website about the Fastrac horns. The Fastrac Lascala horn lens was developed as a direct replacement for the original Klipsch K-400 lens. The Fastrac Lascala is a Tractrix lens that provides natural sound, more detail, and less distortion than the original exponential K-400 horn. (1) $150 shipped Thanks for looking.
  18. I have some Fastrac La Scala horns laying in the basement.
  19. I have a 10" Klipsch SW-110 hooked up to them, no means an excellent sub woofer and they sound great. Just needs that extra mid bass/low end to give you what your looking for.
  20. These are how i received the crossovers, they can be removed very easily if needed. I'm assuming these could be used to flush mount the terminals on the back if there was a backer board added.
  21. Thanks for everyone's input! I love learning new things. I'm not a wiley veteran like most here, my uncle got me into the La Scalas and i bought the horns soon after from fastlaneaudio. He had the Type A crossovers laying around his house, extensive collection of Klipsch gear, so he let me try them out. It's been 3 years now and i'm ready to try something new. He says i will regret my decision to sell them but i figure i can always buy again. I do love them but being in a new 1 bedroom condo in St. Louis doesn't give me the proper space. Plus i really want to try and build my own speakers. All your input is appreciated.
