My experience is that the SVS and the Hsu are excellent for home theater and the REL are better for music. REL Home Theater line is also something to consider. The HT 1205 is both relatively good for home theater and music. I have been reading up on Rythmik who offer both Home Theater and Two Channel lines that have had excellent reviews. They only sell direct which helps the price, but hard to find a pair to audition.

I was considering the E22 by Rythmik as it is roughly a third of the price of the REL 212 SX. I have heard some REL line arrays with three subwoofers stacked on each side that seem to fill the room with well detailed low bass even at low volumes. My budget will not cover a line array or even a pair of 212 SX, but two E22's is doable. I also have to please a wife who took some convincing that the two La Scala's would not overwhelm the room. The E22 would hide in the corners. Horn subs that I have seen are simple too large to get by the wife. As Rythmik is sold direct, i can't go to a dealer and listen to a pair. I have read that they are very fast and very musical. I don't listen to any bass heavy music, but I do appreciate how a good sub is able to fill out the mid-bass. Reviews I have read and seen on Youtube suggest that the F series at Rythmik are close to some of the lower end REL Subs. Thanks for all of the input. I will let you know what I end up with.

I would like to improve the low end of my 70th Anniversary La Scala. I have read a lot about REL, but recently have heard about a company called Rythmik Audio. I have not found much about them, but what I have found looks good. I was wondering if anyone out there as tried Rythmik subs with La Scala's and if so, which model. This is for 100% music using an NAD M33 in a 18 x 18 room with 12 ft ceiling open at the opposite end.

I bought this sub used and I thought it odd that the foam only covered the bottom and one side. I have seen some speaker repairs where they put in rockwool in place of the foam. I have seen some upgrades to Klipsch speakers that made them sound better and was looking to see if anyone had tried the rockwool or maybe something different in place of the foam.

I have having my amp repaired in my RSW-15 Sub and noticed the foam on the inside only covered one side and the bottom. I was look at upgrading to Rockwool on all sides while I had the sub apart. Has anyone tried this? I was concerned that it might take up too much of the volume in the cabinet and negatively affect the sound more than the benefit of additional insulation from the box.

I am having my amp rebuilt in my RSW-15 Subwoofer and was looking at replacing the foam sound insulation with Rockwool. Has anyone tried this and what where your results?

I have used the NAD 316BEE V2 with a pair of RP 600M speakers and it was a very good pairing. I had the original NAD 3020 back in the early 1980's with a pair of Cerwin Vegas and was very happy with it. I am using an NAD M10 with my La Scala II speakers. I have always found NAD to provide great detail but not the warmth you get from tubes.

I keep hearing rumors about a new sub, but haven't seen anything about details or release dates. Has anyone hear about this sub?

I have the old RF7 speakers and they are 10+ years old. I was using a Harmon Kardon AVR 630 (also 10+ years old) but it did not have the HDMI inputs for TV and other components. I have been using a Yamaha as a stop gap until I can find a suitable replacement. I am interested in hearing what you pick for a receiver.
