Good luck Arron, the whole ordeal sounds like one long fk'ing nightmare.  I am surprised you didn't have any luck trying to file the dispute with Paypal. I've only had to do it a couple of times, but the process had been relatively painless.

    Good luck again dude.

Ya, the reason is because I didn't pay with money on a paypal account I paid with a credit card it was just processed throug paypal. I have started the process with my bank but it really doesn't even seem like I'm going to need to go through with that. The dealer has said he will pay me back he just needs like a week. I basically just filed with the bank as extra insurance in case he doesn't.

My last job before retiring was in a business machine warehouse dealing with big heavy equipment. It was not uncommon for a shipment to be short occasionally but I cannot remember a case when the lost pallet was not eventually found. Your speaker is sitting in another warehouse somewhere or on a truck making the rounds rather than being stolen is my guess. That being said, I would be as angry and upset as you if all that has happened to you had happened to me. ABF is a reputable company and I am sure they are making every effort possible to find the lost pallet. With patience I feel like you will eventually receive your speaker. Best of luck.

Ya, they have told everyone is looking very hard into this and seem to think they will find it by Monday. They also think they know which warehouse it's in which is the same one I've been telling them it's in from the beginning because that's the one where the tracking got messed up.

Imagine.....for Aaron's heartbreak around the Holidays, they cancel the order, give him all his money back, and let him keep the Khorn he has now as a good will measure! He buys another 70th Ann. set and has a VERY nice front three. It could happen!

Ya, I spoke with onecall they said in the event they can't find the other one they would send a shipping company to my house to pick up the one I have and then give me a refund. Would Not let me keep one.

Ya, I was thinking that too. I'll tell ya right now I am NOT paying to have the one I have now shipped back. They will have to send a truck and get it out or let me keep it. Truthfully if it does go the route of a refund I have a feeling they might just let me keep it because you can't sell just one since they are serial matched.

After I thought about this maybe you should have refused delivery of half your order. That would put pressure on them to track the other half. Not blaming you but I wonder if that's what someone should do if this happens again.

But we all are pulling for you Aaron. What does the ABF tell the guy you ordered them from? Have they been paid for the shipment and who paid?

I had a set of cornwalls shipped from new York and I had to pay for shipping when I picked them up. If they were not both there I would have said to bad for you buddy. Find the other one and I will  pay you.

This problem all started at the shipping point. Not marking or labeling them correctly I think. I think each pallet should have had been a separate transaction. That way each one would have gotten paper work and easier to track. So that's where the pressure should be at the office where they were first taken to.

Your call everybody involved twice a day till they get so tired of hearing you they try harder. Ask them when will they be able to come pick the pallet you got up... because if they don't find the other one this one is going back. And tell them 16,000 dollar claim will be filed. Did the dealer insure these rare speakers when he sent them???? These are not something they can just replace make sure they know this also......OK Rant over,,,lol

Wait did they go from shipping point to pick up point directly?  Ask them how do I file a 16,000 dollar claim today so you can be ready to do that. May have to drive down there with a BIG friend to get your point across...lol

I hope you hear god news next week I'm even getting stressed out over this.  lol

Ya, my sister told me that I should refuse delivery too. At that point I thought it was going to be a simple thing of they had the other one at the local warehouse I didn't realize it was going to be this much of a mess. As far as I know Onecall is still waiting to hear back from ABF. Last time I spoke with Onecall about this he said they had a guy that was supposedly really high up in the ABF department and supposedly knew where the package was but that was 3 days ago and I still haven't heard back from them. Maybe I will give them a call right now.

ABF has already told me that perhaps I should have onecall send me another and have them file a claim. I'll tell you one thing if it turns out I need to cancel this order I am certainly not paying to send the one I have back. Either one call or ABF can foot that bill. I didn't go to shipping point they came to my house.

Isn't this one of only 70 pairs produced, and had at a significant discount? I might wait, but that's just me...

Best of luck with a timely delivery, or whatever you might need to decide.

Idk I gotta say if they haven't found it by next Friday it's gotta be gone. Must of been stolen. Who knows maybe someone stole it thinking there were 2 in there

The difference between the post office in the US and for profit couriers is Postal Inspectors carry a firearm and screwing with the mail has real consequences.

Unless this single Khorn has been stolen it has to be somewhere either on a truck or in a warehouse.

Ya, I am begining to wonder if perhaps it may have gotten stolen but I would think if someone stole it they would steal both. I am pretty sure I know as well as what the driver said probably happened. Some idiot read the invoice and saw it said 2 pieces and the way there are 2 boxes on the pallet, the bass horn and then the top part of the speaker they thought that was it and just grabbed one pallet.

  8. 7 minutes ago, ricktate said:

So these 2 pallets with combined worth of 16,000 retail only got 1 tracking number and all the labels were put on 1 pallet. OMG I don't know who is at fault here but the guy you bought them from should have made sure they each had a label. He should have taken pictures of them before shipping. I bet there is security video of the dock they were first at .

Does ABF  tell you they cant find it cause no labels were on it ?  This starting make me mad also Aaron. I cant believe this shipping company is this stupid. I was involved in preparing pallets for shipping and rule 1 every pallet has to have paper work or the driver would not let it on the truck.

So now the seller is the one who paid for the shipment he has the power I think ??? He has to get involved in this big time.

Since this is Friday take pictures of the boxes so ABF knows what they are looking for. It would be nice if they had a pic of the whole pallet or pallets to see they were 2 pallets.

I hope this works out for you and sorry to hear all this happened to you again. I see why your upset and I would be also. Keep calling the squeaky wheel gets the grease usually.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease is right! That's why I call every day. I call, I email and Oh ya I got onecall involved too and yes I did send them pictures of the box to show them what it will look like when they find it.

I know, this is the whole thing that is getting me mad too, how they can be this stupid! Like you said 2 pallets with a combined worth of 16,000 dollars and they go and lose one. I can't imagine how the post office (who I used to think was bad but boy I've seen it all now) manages to keep millions of little tiny letters organized and going to the right place but this shipping company loses a pallet with a 200LB speaker on it! You've gotta be half dead honestly. I don't know how they manage to make it through every day life with that level of intelligence.

I really don't think they are ever going to find it. They have already said maybe you should just have onecall send a replacement and file a claim with us which as I said isn't going to work because according to them they don't have any more in stock and it looks like they are getting more and more scarce. I think Klipsch.com is sold out of them too because when you look at them it no longer gives the price or the option to add to cart.

  9. Let me just jump in and say for this situation in specific I do not blame Klipsch at all. How could it be there fault? I don't even blame Onecall It's fully 100% ABF Freight. The first time with the speakers I bought through them was mainly the dealers fault but I do wish communication was a little better. When I called them, it seemed like everyone I talked to had a different answer as to what was going on. I know they seemed incredibly busy too though because they had a huge sale going on and when I'd call I would experience a huge wait which is definitely not normal in my experience. Not only that but several times they would tell me they will call me back after they got to the bottom of the situation and not once did anyone ever do that.

The one person that really came through for me and got everything settled was actually a member of this forum. @Chief bonehead was the one that actually PM'd me and asked if there was anything they could do, looked into it and told me exactly what was going on so huge shout out to them for that!

All that being said, it was also a dealers deal so me being a non dealer I was not really privileged to the information as much as the dealer was and many times Klipsch told me to contact the dealer because it was something on their end holding things up so I do believe if I had ordered directly through them, or a better dealer things would have gone MUCH smoother.

Do you know if these 2 speakers have consecutive serial numbers? That means a lot to some people. Hope they get this straightened out for you soon....has to be frustrating.

I believe so, the box of the one that I got says to be matched with " so and so" and the guy at onecall said they are from a matching pair. This is why when I asked him what can be done about it if I can't find the other shipment he said well first of all it's part of a matching pair and second of all that's the last pair we had.

Have you asked to see a copy of the BOL (Bill of Lading)? I'd be interested to see if it list 4 boxes, 2 pallers, etc.

I have't asked to see  that but everyone I have talked to including onecall has assured me there were 2 pallets and on the tracking information it does say 2 pallets with a combined weight of 588 lbs. I know the one box I got yesterday couldn't have weighed 588 I would say 200 at most plus whatever the pallet itself weighed, couldn't be more than 25 lbs.

Aaron, talk about a run of bad luck. I do believe you will eventually get your lost speaker but it may take some time if it was mistakenly put on the wrong truck. Hopefully it is at your hometown warehouse and just needs to located.

Yes that's what I hope too. The guy at onecall has been by far the most helpful. he said the reason they are probably having trouble finding it is because since it was a part of a pair they arent both going to have tracking numbers and shipping labels on them. The one I got has all that so that would mean the other one doesn't so he think's it's probably at the local location but that's why they can't find it.

I wrote this out, and am now having 2nd thoughts, asking 'should I hit post on this?'

and another thing.  @Chad - from my POV, it looks to me like KGI could be taking a real beating on this.  I think KGI has the benefit of the forum faithful in that we respect & love the products so much that we will endure many things.  but Chad, I hope you see my point that through no direct fault of KGI, this whole ordeal stinks to high heavens.  that's all I'm trying to say, and that hopefully KGI can do everything possible to prevent things like this from occurring on a regular basis.

for me - I don't have much $ invested in my system now, and probably can't afford to really do much as soon as I would like to.  but after reading about AaronB123's ordeal, I gotta tell ya - it would give me pause to order new, lest I have a similar experience?  um, no thanks.

also for me personally - I have no fault with KGI on this but hope there might be something that can be done to manage - what's it called, supply chain? - from end to end to a standard where customers don't have to endure such experiences.  /rant over (for now)  ;)

    I agree 100%

btw - excellent move tagging Chad on this.  @AaronB123 - you sir have to be hands down winner most patient customer of the year award in ANY line of business.

and I'm kinda watching the train wreck.  I think Dave hit the nail square on the head re my feelings - sympathetically appalled.  well put Dave.

Lol believe me I'm not that patient this crap has ruined my day yesterday and today but I really don't know what I can do. I'm literally inches away from telling them I'm gonna get a lawyer involved. The only reason i don't really wanna push the envelope with them is because they are still in possession of my speaker and I don't want to get them so mad they throw it off a bridge or something but believe me I'd love to give them a piece of my mind. As I've said I don't know how stupid you've gotta be to lose a shipment that's literally the size of a refrigerator. I don't know what kinda people they have working there but at this point I actually got onecall involved. I called them last night about this.

I asked him worst case scenario what happens if they can't find the missing speaker and he said then they will have to take the one I have back and give me a full refund because unfortunately the set I bought was the last one they had. I will never get another deal like this, I already asked Klipsch if they will budge at all on the MSRP and the guy was very stern and said absolutely not, that price is set in stone so if this doesn't work out it's either buy MSRP or just get a regular pair either way I'd be looking at probably another month wait time. At this rate maybe I should just buy a used pair!

Good news is though the guy at onecall said he has someone that is very high up in the ABF chain and says he will have answers for me today which I am not so sure how much I believe because so far everyone I have talked to has said they will get back to me with answers and no one ever does.

Someone from Klipsch sales really needs to read this thread.  I understand Klipsch isn't involved in this fiasco but they need to see the level of service the end consumer is getting on this, the highest end, product Klipsch offers in the Heritage line.  Imagine if this was your first Klipsch purchase ever????

Other than buying used it actually pretty much is. The only thing I have ever bought new from Klipsch was the Pro media computer speakers years ago which I just picked up at bestbuy. I agree though honestly when you buy a speaker with an MSRP of 16,000 dollars, the price of a small car honestly they should be delivered priority overnight instead they find the cheapest company they can which is honestly unacceptable.

Does anyone know what shipping company Klipsch uses when you buy heritage directly from them? @MetropolisLakeOutfitters do you know?

I have been following the thread, sympathetically appalled at your experience.  Just when I think it can't get any worse, there's the information you just posted.  ^^^

    UN-freakin' believable.

Ya, well when I called them they were basically just opening up and said they hadn't checked the docks yet for any shipments that may have come in overnight and the woman that checks said she wont be checking for another hour or so, so I guess we will wait and see what happens.

  17. 4 minutes ago, ricktate said:

Face Palm...OMG........drive down there tell them there should be 4 boxes and you only got 2. Have to explain it like your talking a idiot cause that's who they hire.

I will never again say I'm having a bad day.......I would be having a aneurysm by now......we are all hanging with you man.

Ya, I was thinking about driving down there myself. I do have a truck so I could pick it up if they have it but I'm afraid I go all the way down there and they won't have it. If that happens my road rage on the way home will be off the chart's that's what I'm afraid of.

Forklift driver loading on the wrong truck. I have seen it take many days for the pallet to finally arrive depending on where it was wrongly shipped to.

Ya, I emailed the supervisor last night, woke up this morning to an email saying they located it at the local dock near my house so I was really happy. I jumped out of bed and called the dock and of course they said they don't have it and don't know where the supervisor got that information from.

Sorry Aaron, I hope it gets tracked down. The way I got mine ,,,,I saw add was close drove over there. 1972 models that had been painted with house paint even got it on the grill..lol.
