  1. Whoever was responsible for making those labels made a mistake during set up. There is no “V” version of the K-33, neither in Jim Hunter’s memory or the Klipsch historical records.

Google says the V means they were made by Atlas (and are rare) so it must be true[emoji2369]
  2. I didn't really like it.  That is not being judgmental LOL, just expressing a personal preference.  Glad you thought it sounded great.  The three bombers we agree on!

To be clear, I didn’t think it sounded great; it sounded great. Maybe it’s my system?
  3. Not exactly the same. My similar year Klipschorns sound the best out of my pairs of speakers, but with a caveat. They beat out 2 pairs of Cornwalls and Herseys. They sound better than my La Scalas, but the La Scalas’ imaging is superior to the Klipschorns’ imaging. Perhaps a time alignment issue in the Klipschorns? But better sounding than the Klipschorns? I’m gonna put my money on the Jubilees as the winner. No offense intended, but something else is going on if your Klipschorns in your scenario don’t sound the best.

  4.

For me, YES has been one of the 'black holes' in my musical journey, up to now. I only know Jon Anderson from his collaborations with Vangelis.

So I thought I would start with Fragile, which I like a lot, and it sounds fantastic!

Rick Wakeman, btw, must be some alien coming from space... According to Wikipedia, he has made 93 (!) solo albums between 1971 and 2012... Where do you even start?

I’d start by posting a pic of an actual record you’re currently spinning (ffs). And that goes for the other recent posters here, too. Much love [emoji123] [emoji3590]

  5. Steely Dan, Gaucho.  On our simple, cheap Sony PS-T22, Audio Technica 3600 cart —-> Luxman R-117 —-> Cambridge Audio Aero 2 bookshelf speakers, dual Velodyne DD10. Nice sound, thank you Steely Dan.

Steely Dan Gaucho RL MD-1 pressing purchased in PX in Germany. Playing on Denon DP-62L with Ortofon 2M Bronze>Yamaha C-80 47kohm/220pF MM setting and tone bypass>Yamaha M-60>Klipsch La Scalas>Klipsch RW 8 subs LnR. Sometimes it’s just about great music appreciation and taking the time to listen.

  6. Watched SNL premier in 1975. Still watch it. Watched SCTV. Is it still airing? It’s unfair to compare the 2. This Emily Carr is better than this Georgia O’Keefe, for example. Critics are cheap and shallow. Celebrate both ffs.

    NFL

Wake up football fans. The Browns are killing the Steelers 28-0 !!! That's why I don't gamble on football. Never would have predicted this.

    It’s unfuggenbelievable. Record setting game.
