LOL, unfortunately the only thing 'scantly clad' around my house is me... It's a couple inches to high to go under TV. But it will go to the left of the TV against the wall. What's the deal with 'delay"? If the sub is centered & close the front speakers does this prevent delay? Haven't played it yet. Just tonight painted the Bins. Had to repaint after I put 3/4" plywood on the sides to stiffen the bins up. I have everything needed so I'll get on it tomorrow. Oh, and I'm renting a pallet jack from Home Depot to move the speaker in plus I have someone to help me. Thank You! Bill

My Tom Danley DTS-10 Sub will be here this Friday. Where in the room should I put it? No WAF involved! I'll put it wherever it's going to sound best. I guess there can be a problem with delay if I put it in the wrong place. What I have for a system so far is listed below... I'll post pic's of my living room. It's 37' x 16' with 8' ceiling. Speakers are 16' apart & in my seated possession on my couch my head is 13' away from each speaker. Thank You! Bill

Thank You wvu80! Yes bare wire. I messed with it a little more & squeezed the wire ends together with pliers. Almost all the wire goes in the connection hole. Way more wire than 14 gauge goes in. It's just not as 'sanitary' as I'd prefer. I'll attach pic's... Bill

This is the wire I bought to hook up my Commercial La Scala's to my mc275 amp. It would have worked fine but then I got K-402 Horns & I'm bi-amping. The 12 Gauge works with the speaker connections on the Bass bins. It will not fit the connections on the 402 Horns. It won't fit through the hole in the connection. Can I use 12 gauge on the bass bins & 14 gauge on the K-402 Horns? If this isn't good then I'll just use all 14 Gauge. It's 30' to one of my speakers if I run the wire up & out of the way. If I have to I'll just run it across the floor & then it's 16-18'. Thank You! Thank You Richard, jorjen, Schu, John & HDBRbuilder! Yes Richard, 2 piece boxes. And I took the bottom off & I've got K-43E woofers which I read are the better ones. I'm not really that much into looks although I don't want my friends to say; "Gee that ugly speaker sure sounds good"... LOl... I think I'll just put 3/4" plywood on the 2 sides. I'm more comfortable doing that then trying to fit inside pieces in... I read the label on the Gorilla Construction Adhesive today & it said it bonds in 30 seconds? Is that enough time to get the plywood covered in glue put on? And should I use particle board or plywood? Should I sand the paint off of the existing sides? Easier if I don't, lol... Thanks again! What do I have to do to hook-up the K-402 horns to my commercial La Scala's? I have the commercial La Scala's so the woofer bin is separate from the tweeter/mid top. I'm a new-be so I have no idea. I would also like to brace the bins. I did a search on bracing & read about either putting braces in the front or putting thicker plywood on the outside. Think i'd like to go with adding 3/4" plywood on the sides, back & top. Do I glue the thicker plywood on, screw it or both? And how do I get to the insides of the bin? Do I need to to hook up the 402's? Doesn't look like there's a way to get to the insides of the woofer bin without taking it apart... Thank You! Bill

I'm new to this so please bear with me! I have the La Scala commercial speakers (or industrial ones? Not sure what you call them). The mid/tweeter is in a separate cabinet from the woofer. I'm looking to get that huge 2'x2' (or 3'x3"?) horn that's on the top. Not sure what you call what I want... Thank You! Bill

Thank You USNRET & derrickdj1 & garyrc! Yes, bought an mc275 VI. I'll need phono stage but have the DAC... No, would rather buy used & pay less just want to make sure what I get doesn't need work. Down the road I will want a HT 5.1 & SACD... So no on a c28 for sure, but yes I'm thinking tubes would sound best... So I need to be careful with whatever I get to make sure it's all compatible with my goals... Thanks again! Bill

I'm getting a mc275 today & now need to get a pre-amp. What's a good one to get? Of course, I'm just as confused on which pre-amp as I was the amp. I've read where a perfect match is the c-22 (new one) & then I've read where an SS pre is best. I'm not really looking forward to the $6000 cost of a c-22 but if that's what I need then that's what I need... Oh, I also have a Oppo Dac... Bill

Thank You for all the replies everyone! Well, after flip flopping all over the place! Tube, no SS, tube, no SS. New, no restored, new, no restored... I decided on a mc275 off of Ebay. One was going for $5499 & the other for $5777. Than I thought; "Why don't I call local McIntosh dealers & see how much they go for new. Surprise! $5500 brand new! I called one dealer & he had them backordered with all of them already sold. Said he'd put me in the next group of backorders. Then I called another dealer & he has one on the floor. Said it was only hooked up a couple of times. I asked about a discount cuz it was a floor model but need to call back tomorrow when the manager is there. He's holding it for me & discount or not I plan on getting it there tomorrow. So there cheaper brand new from McIntosh than used? LOL... That's Ebay for ya... It's a lot of money but I'm tired of looking. I checked with McIntosh Audio but their tube units aren't ready to sell. You put a deposit on them & then they restore it. Takes awhile... And I don't want to get something that needs work. I can't do it & I don't want to wait for repairs.... Bill
