Thanks HD great stories. Can you tell when they were built by the number on the speakers etc inside?
-
I have included some pictures of my Cornwall's that I recent acquired. I have a few questions.
Are the speakers and crossovers etc the original ones?
Are the Tweeters woofers horn the "desired" ones?
If a "recap" was done what does that entail parts and tools wise?
Thanks....

Check the bottom right the same way...those initials will be likely be upside down there...SOMETIMES the initials were stamped in PRIOR TO the installation of the front and rear glue blocks, shelf and motorboard...but I never stamped the initials in until the cabinet was completed, so it is more likely that these were built either on one of my days off, or after I left in 1983. Please let me know what you find there, if anything.
Here are the pictures, I cant really make out what it is.

Thanks guys. I will see what is available on the back of the grill to put on the front.
I will get some of that glue and that should tighten up the sagging.
Will the current cane pull off easy, or what is the best way to "tighten " it up?

Is the small hole the problem?
If so then here is an idea: If you can't see it it doesn't exist, RIGHT? SO then repair it using E6000 and same colored and diameter straw doing careful work to make it match the original as closely as possible.
I like your Thinking, are you referring to this glue https://www.walmart.com/ip/Amazing-E-6000-Craft-Glue-2-oz/17808713
Where would I find this? " same colored and diameter straw ".
The small hole and the general saggy look of them.

I recently came the proud owner of some 1983 Vintage Cornwall Speakers.
I need to replace the Cane grills on these. I have looked around for some more cane but can't find any?
Is there any out there or should I go with different grills?
Another thought I had was to put these away and build a brand new one with a black fabric, what is a good stock looking black fabric for these
and what is a good wood etc to use for the frames?

I checked the back left top corner of the cabinets and I don't see any letters, not sure if the were painted over or not.
I did see USA engraved on the right side and the serial #s on the top (my serial #s are consecutive so I think that's good).
I will upload the pictures from my phone as soon as I can resize them.

I just came into possession of a set of Klipsch Cornwalls and I know absolutley nothing about them. I was hoping yall can tell me a little about what I have and when they were made, if they are original etc. I have attached a picture of the sticker onthe back. I looked at the serial # ID post but could not figure out how to ID mine.
Thanks in advance
Dan
