Been trying to decide between this Bonavita and a Technivorm Mocamaster for awhile but the latter one is little pricy at 275 to 300 bucks. Both are SCAA certified and temp gets up to about 198 to 204 F. The Bonavita is usually about 150 dollars but is on sale now at Best Buy for 109 dollars so I pulled the trigger. Hers a few more radios we had. The big zenith worked and it was in the back bedroom. Me and my brother made a wire antenna and ran it in front of the gutter along one side of the house using ceramic insulators. First time I heard BBC in Europe I was hooked on radio. We also had a bakelite radio. Its funny dad took the bakelite to a man to have it repaired. We got it back about 4 years later and it was a different radio. Dad didn't notice but I did.

We listened to local news, weather, and on snowy days if school was going to be in. Also Captain Stubby and Charles Holmer Bill. This was the 60s and 70s I found an old pic of our radio. Who else has similar memories?

A little EQ can work wonders. I went from hating my RP280F speakers to loving them after a small turn of a knob on my Schiit Loki . Have you ever been told I don't use tone controls. I want to hear it like it was recorded. Im pretty sure the amp builders started this lol. Just like do you know how you hear Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It came from a marketing campaign from general mills in 1944. Now its gospel. Use tone controls or eq if needed.

Im wanting a amp/dac for headphones. I like the thought of a built in EQ. I wondering if this would work well the way im wanting to use it. Its used in mixing and im not sure if its more than I need. I found it for under 1000$. I came across a guy named john cooke in our family tree. In his will he gave his slaves to his children. There was an slave house in southern Illinois that was not legal. As it gets back farther on my grandma Ricketts side im finding some royal blood. And a few pirates lol. The Pirates name is Henry Strangeways😎. I agree but can't back it up with proof. I would think if you have relation not to far in the past who were wealthy and had it traced. Or were important in some way it will go back further in show a lot more.

Yes but after you go out so far there is so much the computer was even saying I was using alot of power keeping this page up. So much was on there it would only let you zoom so much and then it would turn white.

I haven't found much on my grandfathers to get a good start. But ive found alot on both her grandmothers and they both had King Duncan the I in their line. Alot of countries would have marriages between princes and princesses of different countries just to keep the peace. Its hard to find things after going way back because the screen gets things so small after you go so far out. Some claimed they were related to gods and her line shows a Thor Woodssman in 0249 BC and the king of troy in front of that. I don't know if this is Thor. She was related to Saxtons, Goths, Huns, Norse, Romans, etc. It is back to 1200 BC.

I just found the wife was related to a few cool people. Anchalas, Alpin, Kenneth I, Constantine I ,Donnald II, Malcom I, Kenneth II, Malcom II, Duncan I, Donald III. What do they all have in common? They were all kings of scotland! I was blown away when I found the first one. 10 kings! It was on the wifes dads moms side. I found a cross which is my last name way back on my moms side! Wait do I hear banjos playing? This explains a lot.

Its a free site that lets you trace your family tree. Its owned by the mormon church. On the first day on my dads moms side im back to 1540! Worth checking out.
