  1. I got the pair of RF-82 IIs shipped from Frys for $450 and the RC-62 II for $200. You have to watch slick deals as someone there has advanced notice of the ad. Then you go in Sunday as early as possible and use the promo code. It usually lets you add to the cart with free shipping. Then later that day around 10-11 am, the shipping is gone. Never been able to get the rs-115sw to show up with shipping though.
  2. Congrats Alarm, how do you like them so far? Music and movies sound good on them?
  3. Unfortunately, they won't ship the r-115sw sub.
  4. Or $204 lol....the $134 promotion is I guess in store only and the day it came out it let me ship the speaker to my house and no tax online for $204. Later that day it was not longer available for shipping and back up to the 359 price. Great price for me because I do not live near a Frys. Got the RF-82s for 450 for the pair shipped . Defiantly keep checking the Frys ads.
  5. Keep in mind if you go with the RP-260 speakers, Klipsch is having a limited time promotion offering a free sub woofer with a purchase of a pair of the new Reference Premier models. I have the RF-82 IIs and they are excellent speakers. Definitely a hard decision....
  6. I see what you mean. I found an old picture when I moved in and if I had the couch in the middle, it would sound perfect.....
  7. Hi, I'm new hear and love the responses I have gotten so far on the forum. I had a question about going from a 5.1 set up to 7.1. I included pictures of my currentset up. I have my rear speakers on my back wal currently. I had some speakers above the side couch were the Chicago picture is and on the adjacent wall. The problem was when I sat on the back couch, the surround effects were in front of me which was not right. When I sat on the side couch, I was too close and the effects just went over my head. Lately, I have been looking at the back corner and wondering if I could have a rs-52 speaker on both the back and side walls (where the clock is currently). Then, when I sit on the back couch, it will be directly to the side of me, and when I am on the side couch, it will be on the side and slightly behind me. I would move the back speakers in closer to the window and the side speaker as close to the door opening to make them as far apart as possible. Seems like it will work, but my only concern if they would be too close together. What do you think?
  8. I have not tried out the Rp-280s. I'm coming from a Synergy F3 with dual 8" woofers like the RF-82 IIs. They sound similar, but so different in clarity. I was basing my opinion on the fact that I had the F3s in my college dorm, my first apartment, and now my house so I know what it is like to have big speakers in a small space. I had to listen to them louder than I wanted to hear the vocals in movies. Now that I have the RF- 82 IIs, I could see myself having an easier time with them in a small space because they are so clear at low volumes. Now for the reference premier vs reference II, I just felt the center and back speakers were better on the old models and when with them for my upgrade. I could be wrong, but I felt the back speakers being ported would give me greater bass response with the sound effects and liked the center having two 6.5 inch woofers. I would love if someone had a comparison to see if I was right.
  9. My vote is for the RP-280s or RF 7 II's. I have the RF-82 II's, model before the RP-280s, and the clarity is unbelievable. Since they are so clear, I can listen to them at lower volumes and still hear the vocals crystal clear. When you listen to them at lower volumes, the bass and surround effects is not as intense which would be good for a smaller room. Then if you ever want to get that bass and fill the room, just turn those bad boys up! Now, the RF7 II price for the dark cherry color open box is tempting too, but I didn't have that much to spend so I got the RF-82 II and couldn't be happier.
  10. That's good to Know. I was really considering getting those but maybe a bit niave thinking since he had the box they would be in good condition. I'm glad you let me know, I might have considered getting those incase I ever wanted 7.1 system. I bought one pair of used speaker on eBay, the guy said it was in perfect condition, but when I got it there were scratches on the back mounting bracket and a chip on one corner. Since you could not see any of it when mounted and worked perfectly, I let it go.
  11. Hey Christian, He saw my ad in the garage sale area and messaged me too about the speakers and we made a deal. Did you see this pair on eBay? I messaged the guy and he said they were in good condition. I offered 400 but he didn't take it. Maybe try offering 450-475 and see if he is willing to go down on the price? http://m.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-Reference-RS-52-II-Rear-Speakers-pair-/332111536110?hash=item4d5363dfee%3Ag%3AJfkAAOSwNnRYkrlX&_trkparms=pageci%3A67abb287-f989-11e6-9c4c-74dbd18085ef%7Cparentrq%3A69746ec315a0a7868973feeaffecfc8b%7Ciid%3A2
  12. Yep before the RF-82s went onsale I got the center for $200 from Frys shipped to Florida.
  13. I'm in the same boat, just got the RF-82 II and RC-62 II and looking for surrounds. I understand from this post there is a difference between the RS-62 and the new RP250s....I chalk it up to bigger is better. I was wondering how the RS-52 and RP250s since they are the same size. Somethings I noticed was it doesn't have a port like the Rs-52 and of course the new model has the new 90x90 tweeter. Anyone have a comparison between the new and old models? Really I'm just wondering how the bass is on the new models. Thanks. Mark
  14. I know, that's why I got the synergy set up the first time....but now the new models are out the old ones are cheaper than what I originally paid for the synergy. These were the ones I wanted originally so I don't mind not getting the new models.
  15. It's going to be the Rf-82 II, Rc-62 II, Rs-52s, Synergy sub 12 downward firing sub and an onkyo 805 to run it all.
  16. Mike at Acoustic Sound design has a great price on a pair of new surround back speakers, the RP-250s, you should call him if you need some. I'm going to call about some RS-52 for sale locally so my set matches.
  17. Thanks, I got the Center during last Sunday's sale. I is a huge improvement so far from the Klipsch Synergy set up I have had for 9 years. I can't wait to get the towers Friday!
  18. Must be true because both times it was Sunday morning I was able to get the deal and have it shipped. This last Sunday I got the RF-82 II speakers for 229 each. Couldn't believe it! Later that afternoon they were not available for shipping.
  19. For sale is a pair of Klipsch Synergy F3 speakers. Excellent condition. I have the original box, but I do not have the incerts anymore. Since they are so big, local pick up only. Altamonte Springs Florida 32714 (near Orlando). Price is $225 for the pair.
  20. Also would be interested in the bigger Rs-62 II surround sound speakers. Thanks Mark
  21. Hi everyone, I'm upgrading from my Klipsch synergy speakers and looking to get a pair of RS-52 II speakers. I would prefer one with the box as it is easier to pack if I ever move. Let me me know if anyone has a pair Thanks, Mark
