  1. Hope that's not true @NADman but it was good
  2. That's the name @billybob! You laugh at how I'm wired.... to dance to the Shenker Brothers rockin out! Love it and it made me chuckle. Can't help it and I couldn't hide it either! These guys made me dance too... and they could see it in the smaller places they played here. hey sometimes I got lucky shakin' it to that good music. Didn't matter, like you said have a blast... Dare ya! Dare ya to listen to this LP and not even feel your feet start to shuffle a little
  3. I know that hotel, stayed there once in the 80s when I went with a friend. In the 1990s living there I painted it once... with about six other guys.
  4. Okay, Okay Reminiscing is nice but this is MY real dancing music. I could not stop when they were onstage!
  5. Freakin' RADICAL!!! Like hanging three out at the top of a pool on your skateboard! * watched this about forty times, it's like he's doing 35 or better and it's just... graceful!
  6. You might recall some of it if you ever went to one of those places as a teen with the strobe lights and the bee gees & Donna Summer playing real loud! *Got one of the tunes to stick up there. Funny they didn't really look close at the drivers license back then!
  7. It's got that gayish disco sound to it like the guitarist LP I put on top of the stack you got! That funk just didn't go well with me the day I listened to it!
  8. Alright @MicroMara I did not forget about you bruder! Maybe I'll catch you before you retire tonight! This doesn't really go with the ARS I just played but does go good with the volume on the sub turned up a little from 28 to 22. I remember the "Move Out" chorus from one of the songs from long, long ago in another life. This was in all the records with plastic still on it but opened as if it had been played. It was the only one like that. Did not go with all the others that came in either. I think there was more to that collection that I never saw but heck I've got no problem with how that turned out! Anyhow if I had played some Depeche Mode this would follow well maybe since the guy here was in that band, Allison Moyet has got some funky in her and a voice too!
  9. Go @grasshopper Go! That's a good one.
  10. We had a gusty day here the rain wasn't for long at all, but it's wet.. even the air is still wet after the sun has been out two hours or more. Filled the trash dumpster with limbs didn't make much garbage the past week myself. There's more out there since, pffftt... bet there are a lot without power south of here.
  11. That storm is moving quickly, it's already halfway to Hattiesburg on the radar I'm looking at now at 10:00pm EST. Backed out of that radar and opened the other weather links... they put a TS warning up for us in Charlotte, NC until the morning
  12. Think it was called café style? Good for long trips from Daytona and back or I-4 the other way to Tampa, room for two. But the engine weight was in front of my body a little and it would slingshot through the curves. I could take them f'n fast! Just heavy but it felt effortless because of the power!
  13. Rode a Fazer before I got that 1100cc water cooled, four cylinder, four carburetor, six speed, shaft drive Honda that just felt right. That Yamaha Fazer was scary fast and I had only ridden an 880 Sportster years before, so I got the Honda.
  14. Was going to play their second LP but remembered you loved that and their white album @dirtmudd ! Played H t H also and think my metal thirst was quenched for a few days now. Got a disco surprise for our Bruder George I'll put on sometime soon.
  15. Back when the Dodge Viper came out I was in my Silverado half-ton on I-Drive in Orlando when one pulled up next to me. It was like going back to the early 70s when factory hot-rods driving down the road would rattle the windows occasionally. I could feel that motor's lope wherever I was touching my truck! Recall reading how the drivability was hard to deal with and creature comforts inside were non-existent. About the third version drove by me a couple of years later somewhere else I was in the same truck, and it was much more polite! That changed too and I guess the guys that have to have their blue jeans and cotton t-shirts super soft would buy those! I loved the sturdy shrink to fit selvage 501s and the 100% cotton t-shirts. Have to look hard and pay too much now! 35k for a bike! Yikes!
  16. Here's another promo keeping with my current tangent:
  17. What's the other consideration😂 It's just simple raw R&R and lots of energy if you ever saw the almost first group of guys that made up the legendary AC\DC. Great Mountain promo LP there! * @MicroMara Sink your lately funky chops into #5 Sin City

    CLEAN ENERGY

I'm sure if the govt uses it it is still wasteful and full of kickbacks. Are they simple fiberglass? If so then no harm I'd guess unless you touch where it's cracked or the pink panther stuff that would make me itch!
  19. Other thread reminded me that I haven't given these guys a listen in a while. Still haven't had enough power chords and riffs since the other night with the little discs. My favorite (their most awesome) release:

    CLEAN ENERGY

Couldn't read the article with my locked down browser but there has always been a catch to it... usually consistency and reliability. Remember being hopeful about solar back in 1972... HA! it still isn't cost-efficient! If they are recycled into flooring will it be carcinogenic at all? Or would the guilt of all the dead birds make it taboo?
  21. @Ceptorman said: Wouldn't it be nice to have video of some of our crazier moments? I know folks in the opposing line of traffic saw the surprise on my face... I could feel it. Was strong then so I controlled the slight turn and it probably looked impressive to see that V-65 Magna do that! Sure the officer wherever he is remembers it too. The next bridge north, Mason a drawbridge had been closed for a month or two, Seabreeze was closed for locals also... had to go all the way to Ormond Beach at the Granada bridge to get home and my heart was still pounding when I got there!
  22. Really, that driver didn't know? More I think about it the more I realize I did have a guardian angel most of my life ! That hundred horsepower bike was one of the biggest thrills in my life, but those two times I scared myself with it! Only comparable exhilaration rush to it was a V-8 Vega I rode in once that was faster than the 65 goat my friend had. Jetliners taking off are a big rush too, but when you are controlling the power it is more real.
  23. They are pretty quick aren't they @grasshopper! Fortunate that nothing like that occurred with me, then again I only had that or the other bike for about five years so there wasn't enough time for every variable to occur. Those pine needles, then when the cop told me...after looking at my license proving I lived less than two blocks away from the other side of the Main St. bridge that I could not go across it because of black college week? I had to go three miles up then cross and go three back on the beachside to get home? After working ten hours in the FL heat riding all the way back from Orlando? Was thoroughly pissed, young and cocky, popped the clutch, the front wheel went over my head while the back tire screeched... I hung on, eased back off the throttle and was 100 yards away in 1.5 seconds!
  24. & that is why I rode ahead of the traffic in Orlando when I could... so my peripheral vision was enough. Wouldn't help if someone came from behind at 115 but the mirrors did work. We've had 80s here while I've been researching SS stuff with the impending changes in my life. Now back to the wet, foggy 50 - 60 degree yuck the past couple of days. @dtel & family plus all the others within close proximity to the gulf, be vigilant. At least these storms this year have not been monstrous wind-wise, know the rain has been bad.
