Let me correct my wording. You are correct. I meant toed out from what is usually recommended here, aimed straight at you or crossed.

Warranty I wouldn't be concerned with on speakers and never have been. I have never had a speaker have issues in 18 years, never blown a driver either. Knowing you are buying fro man authorized dealer certainly doesn't hurt, grain not matched certainly does for me

I have tried many an AVR and have always found them compressed/processed sounding to my ears, much as an MP3 of my favorite recording might sound. Regardless of what's the specs on paper are or what they have in then, doesn't tell you what they will sound like. B&K makes some killer older gear that you can find used for great bargains and IMO sound amazing for the price. Super cheap sometimes

Although I'm certainly not above wine or lobster on the contrary (wine I am, substitute whiskey or bourbon)

I have my pair toed out just a touch, not firing at me or crossing and about 6 feet apart and I find them absent of fatigue regardless of how long I listen.
-
If they cause you fatigue and you aren't listening at "loud" volumes according to you, trying toeing them out a bit. In essence, EQing the highs down a touch without processing. I have friends that swear that all klipsch are bright. To me, their speakers are lifeless.... To each his or her own.

If they could guarantee consecutive serials.... Although the finish wouldnt be my first choice....

Nice one. Subtle peer pressure never hurt anyone

No offense to any here, but AVRs and dedicated quality integrated stereo amps and separates are Def different animals. Both certainly serve a purpose. Nice looking marantz BTW....

"Although, I've only used AVR's". Time for separates. 😀

Nice price. If it was a PLX, I would bite. GLWS!

Little bit of rubbing alcohol goes a long way on the returned units

Too bad it didn't work out for you. I wanted to jump in on the deal myself but was too late to that party. Makes me wonder if it was for the better...

That makes perfect sense to me.

That would be damn impressive 👍

"Received them today, boxes looked just fine but when I opened em up, one was roughed up pretty good."
-
Even in a large room unless you are a bass FREAK then I would say I'm sure they would be.

I'll have to go through this thread I'm sure there is a lot of talent. Haven't seen this thread yet

Wow, that is an AMAZING picture: jumping spider eating a wasp

Return unless you plan to keep forever. I woild be concerned about the severe decline in resale value should you ever decide to upgrade or downsize... They can special order another pair. Otherwise that would need to be a DEEP discount. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah it's a bad time to be getting rid of things apparently. These should be going for more but money can best be used on other things at the moment.

If they are too bright or aggressive, toe them out a TINY bit at a time (from tweeters pointed straight at you) until the tonal balance is right to you and they aren't aggressive.
