  1. Thanks for your help. I bought a TOSHIBA SD-5700 on E-bay for $229. Can't wait to get it. Thanks again, Tony
  2. Is there really that much of a difference between Progressive scan DVD players? I see this one on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1348196468 And it seems like a good deal.
  3. I am looking for a pretty good DVD player and had a few questions. I have a HDTV so I know I need to get progressive scan and DTS, but what else? For the people that have heard DVD Audio, is there a big difference? My limit is $250, so any recommendations? Thanks again everyone, Tony ------------------ Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX
  4. I have had only positive transactions with them. Ordered bucking magnets and got them in 2 days. Sorry to hear about your problems with them. ------------------ Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX
  5. Why is there no price? If +15% what was it? Klipsch please help! ------------------ Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX
  6. Is your RSW 10 new? Because it took a couple of weeks for my RSW 15 to get full performance. It really needs to break-in. 7. My RSW 15 knob stays in place. Don't know what it could be. ------------------ Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 + Basscube 15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX
  8. j-malotky thanks for the offer- I do not doubt that they sound great. The thing I don't understand is why they don't make them anymore if they were that good. Is Conner right when he said todays craftsmanship is not good anymore. It just doesn't make sense to me why a company would stop making its signature speakers. It is not like they would not sell. Tony
  9. I am a youngster (22) so I don't know what is so special about these old speakers. We have a pair of Heresys II's they sound great, but not any better then my KLF 30's. If the Khorns, Belle, Lascala, and Cornwalls are that good why don't they make them anymore? Also, you said you wanted it as a center channel. I thought they were like over 100 pounds. Where would you place it? Thanks for the history lesson, Tony ------------------ Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 + Basscube 15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX
  10. You should be able to just take off the Woofers and get to it. All you need is a Phillips screw driver. Tony ------------------ Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 + Basscube 15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX
  11. I to have the same problem. I had a set of RF-5's (very similar to RF-3's) and was very disappointed with the bass so I switch to the KLF 30's and still am not satisfied. I have a pretty crappie receiver. I thought that was problem and planned on buying a Denon 3802. I not sure if that would make me happy now. Most likely it is us wanting to much bass because even my RSW 15 + Basscube 15 are not making me 100% satisfied. ------------------ Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 + Basscube 15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX
  12. Okay, cancel my offer. FEDS OR ANYONE!!! I WILL NOT SELL OR GIVE ANY SOFTWARE AWAY. I think that should do it. Thanks Kenratboy, makes sense. Sorry forum members. Tony
  13. For $10 I would include Office XP Pro with Windows XP Pro Corporate, which in includes Word 2002, FrontPage 2002, Excel 2002, PowerPoint 2002, and Access 2002. And for $13 I would include the other two and the Plus! version, all on three CD's. I probably should not be doing this with the forum's resources since it was not designed for this reason, so please Email if interested.
  14. Soundjunkie, I could send you a copy or anyone else interested for $7. Not bad considering you can't buy it in stores. Email me at Tonyschmidty@hotmail.com
  15. Don't have to register if you have Windows XP Pro Corporate. Which is nice! I also can give it to everyone. ------------------ Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 + Basscube 15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX

  17. I ordered some shielding foil before getting the bucking magnets ($80 for 4 feet). It helps the problem. I cut it up into small pieces and layered it to put around the magnet. If you are interested in it I could sell it to you for much less then I paid for it. Let me know if that is what you are looking for, Tony ------------------ Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 + Basscube 15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX
  18. That is hard to believe if you put them on right, because I just did it about a week ago (thanks to the help of the forum) and it works great. I only did the woofers too. My KLF 30's are less then a foot away from my tube TV. Maybe you TV has been damaged and it will not go away. Luckily my TV has a "Geomagnetic Correction option" or I would have severely damaged it. Those are the only possibilities I can think of. ------------------ Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 + Basscube 15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX
  19. Thats why I got somewhat dizzy with my ear right next to it. Thank you very much Ray. Your reply was VERY helpful.
  20. I was just wondering what the point of the RSW drone woofer. I know it is not a speaker and is moved by the air from the other woofer, but what is the point of it? I can put my ear right next to it when it is pounding and no real sound comes out of it. Should there be? Thanks, Tony ------------------ Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 + Basscube 15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX
  21. I really like the RC-3 II. Not really fair to judge, since the only other center channel I have heard is my Panisonic Tau TV setup as center.
  22. Right now have quintet for my rears and I was thinking about upgrading. I noticed most of you don't have official rears like the RS series. Do you recommend bookshelves or the RS series? Thanks for your thoughts, again Tony ------------------ Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 + Basscube 15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX
  23. It seems Klipsch made the "Auto On" feature very poorly or we are doing something wrong. On my brand new RSW 15 it does not work either. Hopefully someone from Klipsch will address our problem and post a reply. ------------------ My first setup Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX, Sad I know
  24. Thanks for your help, it is sounding a lot more powerful. I still am wondering about the digital eq. I have a setting for 63Hz- 250Hz- 1kHz - 4kHz- 16kHz where I can turn up or down the "db" Whould I want to mess with any of this? What does it mean? Thanks! Tony ------------------ My first setup Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX, Sad I know
  25. Hey everyone, I just got my RSW 15 today and it is great. I told all my friends about it so I want to show it off. I am not very knowledgeable about working my receiver. I am used to having a bass knob to turn up the bass instead I have a digital eq. I know my system should have some really good bass (KLF30's and RSW 15) but it is really not that loud. What can I do to make this thing rock? I turned up the RSW 15 all the way and but a bass song on and still no floor-shaking. What should I set my crossover to (80-100-120Hz?) Set LFE ATT to 0db or 10db? What is a good way to set the digital eq? Thanks again for all of your help, Tony ------------------ My first setup Fronts----KLF 30's Center----RC-3 II Receiver--JVC RX-9010V Rears-----Quintets Sub-------RSW-15 TV--Panasonic tau 32 HDTV DVD------XBOX, Sad I know
