  1. Although starting this prior to surgery last Tuesday, thanks to my wife’s good sense, I left it at home and took the Grisham paperback instead.  I’ll finish this while being forced to rest this week.

  2. Truth be told my wife got this for me to take to the hospital on Tuesday.  It was an excellent choice; not heavy in either a gravitational or a literary way.  I was able to finish it prior to Wednesday’s discharge.

FWIW, I  read the paperback version, not an audio edition.

Lytton, that town in south-central British Columbia, set a new all-time across Canada high temperature record, for the third day in a row.  Yesterday’s temp was 49C, or 122F.  This is beyond extreme for us.  The police reported that 75 people in southern BC died suddenly yesterday, for heat-related reasons.  Most of them lived alone and were elderly or had respiratory problems of some sort.  The other common factor was that their rooms were at 40C/104F or higher when the police arrived.

How alarming and sad to think of those unable to escape such dangerous heat.

    Just gotback home . . .

I too just got home today from The University of Michigan Hospital and HoLEP surgery yesterday.  I feel great. If you have BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia), an enlarged prostate affecting urinary function, I highly recommend the procedure and the institution.  Thanks to U of M Hospital, this Spartan can now more easily GO YELLOW.

Born there too.....been gone for 37 yearss and still consider myself one.  Whet n does that change?

For me 1960.  As a former Spartan wrestler, I love it that Sparty has beaten the Buckeyes in football, during a period that the Wolverines have not.

Hope it went well....you should hope that your Dr's actually graduated from OSU.....  they're accustomed to operating on Buckeyes.....

Although born in Cincinnati, I don't consider myself a Buckeye.  Haven't lived in Ohio for six decades.

Careful...they may have left a remotely detonatable nano particle bomb in there:)

The staff couldn't be nicer.  They are nice to me and nice to each other.  No one is officious or the least bit arrogant.  This place is in sharp contrast to the last hospital I was in.

That said, I wouldn't want to be in here on a football Saturday; I couldn't even pretend to root for the Wolverines.

  10. My prostate is too large for UroLift or ReZum both of which are offered at The University of Michigan Hospital.  My surgeon will perform HoLEP surgery on my 92 gram prostate.  Thanks for your well wishes.
