  1. I had the opportunity to shoot him twice when he was playing @ Akron St Vincent & St Mary.  Most incredible player then as a kid and now as a man!  Look at what he's done for ANY team he played on..  On the horn...  Fade aways, K Love's long inbound pass for a turn-around  jumper from in front of the bench for the win, he KNOWS the game and USE'S it all in every way he can...  GOAT?  Who knows, he hasn't retired yet.  On to game 2 this year...  Bringing in some help now...  HAHAHAHA!!!  :)

To bad they ruled out chain, they could have spun them around as a lesson on how a Leslie organ speaker sounds.

NUTTIN better than a B-3 and Leslie!!!  :)

It didn't seem like that long ago Derek was starting out with the allman Brothers and he was very young, now Greg is gone and Derek is on his own playing music with his wife.

    Nice picture

Wellllll,  a ten-year-old kid w/a guitar and an Uncle who was the drummer and all the connections???  Yup, family affair, but Derek

was great at a young age thanks to that.  It was funny last nite watching the group's kids sitting cross-legged on the floor side-stage watching the show.  Mic placement?  Guitar change? They were ALL smiles doing it helpin out the band.  Refreshing to see their smiles exchanged.  We'd have been right on top of it too I'm sure.

  4. 20'???  HAHAHAHA  That's a no brainer!  Geez you'd get a nose bleed workin up there but you'd look hot in those monkey straps secured to a ladder.  hahaha.  Grout lines SUCK and anyone with a brain knows it.  Toggle them to a block so they'll be there for the next 20 years..  Good vibrations, I'm gettin those good vibrations..🎵🎵🔊 are not meant for ANY grout lines.  Lags will pull out and Mr Janitor SHOULD know that.. Sounds like a statement for Mr Shop teacher to get involved in if he doesn't like the toggle bolts!  He just wants what's left of them after they pull out and fall then he can duck tape them together and use them in his janitor bat cave.  😂😂

  5. Driving home from Ft. Wayne last nite trying to follow the game w/my cell feeds...  Typical Cavs game, but JR WHAT were you thinking or were you NOT thinking?  Still haven't seen the end but I knew they would be toast in OT.  GOAT or no GOAT?  Nothing matters now cause LBJ is still in Cleveland and he'll play wherever he wants to in the NBA in the future IF he leaves Cleveland.  Personally, I don't think he's going anywhere and you have to remember it was Game 1.  I think he wants to become a player/coach just like so many did years ago.  Who knows but...  it was Game 1...  :)

  6. By golly I think it's gonna fly like the pink pig at the Floyd shows!  The first thing they will look at is suspension, sound next cause most admin, janitors, guests are GONNA hear them sooo I just think the regular heavy chain links would look cool.  Nice heavy links.  Bwa ha ha...   No paint, no nada just bolt the crap outta them and let 'em look "industrial."  Seal the bolt holes up w/silicone and use the right bit...  That's simple.  They see what's holding them up there THEN they'll look to see what kind they are especially if they're singing.  Run the wire the same way...  Nylon cable ties (if you can) right down to the receiver.  Gotta remember YOU'RE the one teaching now and once they hear it and ask you what you did and how that's what strokes the old guy's ego!  Hahaha!  Don't grin too much either!  Another thought I just had re-reading this...  Here's a lil study project for the one's that are truly interested..  Crank something out on paper explaining WHAT you did and WHY you did it.  Tell them about the speakers explaining SOUND to them and how it's heard by the human ear...  Explain the speakers and the 3-way system vs 2-way and 1-way and how the network breaks the sound down  Tell them PWK's thoughts on sound cause you're actually turning these kids on to something GOOD that they just MAY use in their lifetime.  At least you're pointing them in the right direction.  Save a Master copy in your puter cause they will disappear in a year or so...  Remember how you started w/tin cans and a string?  Just another post coffee vision for what it's worth!  lol  :)

  7.   I'd go with a heavier chain industrial look for up top.  .  Then no one could complain or worry about them falling.  On the chain use some bolts heavy enough and doubled up w/TWO poly locking nuts on each bolt w/flat and lock washers.  That should secure the top weight bearing chains. or just make a loop w/the chain and bolt the heck outta it.   I wouldn't use screw in eyes up top on the cabinet due to the weight but one in the bottom for down-firing adjustments should work slick.  Two point eyebolt suspension w/flat and locking washers with the poly locking nuts to the eyebolt chain up top. and the lower rear point for adjustment.  The downside is opening them up to bolt the eyelets into the top of the cab.  Never know when some kid might just try to swing from one to the other in Tarzan mode!

It's amazing that teams can drain three's for maybe three games in a row then can't hit the side of a barn thereafter,

Sometimes that basket looks REAL BIG and at other times it's small...  Hahahaha...

  9. I don't know how the Cavs won...  NO O-boards for the most part.  Sure you're tired but do you want the W or the L???  Now on to the next one somehow!

I’ve been several times.  I miss the days when Mickey Thompson, Dale Coyne, and others ran “stock blocks.”

I'd take a weeks vaca from my real job to shoot Muirfield then follow it up w/Indy then Mid-Ohio for the Indy cars.  Then it was local sports on the side.  Stringing sports doesn't pay much but w/the credentials for the major events it was worth it.  Met a lot of great people and had a blast.  You truly do have to be insane to get the shots no one else gets.  28 years of insanity but what a great time.  lol  The best one was Pink Floyd in Cleveland Muni Stadium on Friday nite, sleep there then up to Indy the next morning, sleep in the in-field and shoot the race then back to OSU stadium in Cbus to see them again!  Was nummy!  A wedding on Memorial Day wkend?  TOTALLY out of the question!

    hahaha

  11. Should be interesting but if the flags are flying outta the Southwest the short chute btwn 1 and 2 will be a junkyard.  If not they're gonna open them up and let 'em run.  Had an old photographer tell me that once and he was spot on w/that.   Couple years later is when AJ drove thru it all in the chute.  That was totally insane to watch peekin up overtop of a barrier!  I loved shooting at Indy!  ALWAYS a good time seeing everyone year after year...   Kinda nice watching though now!  Should be a good one!

    What is nosin?

Thinking seriously...  One owner close to me and the price is VERY right...  Soooo, I'll be sitting down listening to it this wkend.  I pick it up then it's off to the bench for recap and whatever else...    I need moooosic and can give it to the youngest daughter and buy something new down the road.  LS & Heresy sitting here just waiting for gas soooooo...  :)

  13. This guy @ the pizza shop I've known forever.  Great guy and he's heard everything I've ever had  and has been a "repeat offender" stopping in at times just to kick back.  He knows I'm not right when it comes to music...  Had I purchased the LS back in the mid-70's I'd have a house full by now.  Loved my Infinity's but Klipsch has them beat in so many ways...  Wanted all Mcintosh then too!  Guess the bottom line is I'd still be sittin here listening in my Jockey's just hearing more of what I'm supposed to hear!  :)

  14. The owner of the local pizza shop dropped off my pie a bit ago...  Left the garage door up and had some Clapton cranked a bit...  He walked in and just stood there looking and listening for about 15 minutes.  Had the LS playing then switched to the Heresy for him...  Fun watching his jaw drop even more..  I'm not even running Gas yet either...  hahahaha  Said I've gotta go enjoy the pizza and left...  Told him he forgot his $20 and he said, "It's on me it was worth it!"  hahahaha

f you didn't listen to the Lascalas with the same electronics in the same room as your F3's you might be making a big mistake selling what you have.

Last week in Hope, we got to listen to the entire Heritage line in the same room.  There was a slight difference in the F3's and LS2's but nothing night and day.  I'm not sure there was a consensus as to which one was better as listening is subjective as you know.  The LS's slammed a little better but the F's went lower.  The LS's were completely horn loaded and the F's had the direct radiator and the passive.  The F's had Roy's new mumped mid horn which I REALLY like.  I was listening and talking to Jim and he preferred the LS's.  I liked the F's but would be extremely happy with either pair.

I totally agree w/Carl but it's your nickle.  You have a beautiful pair sitting right there you enjoy soooo...  Nice to say you've got LS but wouldn't it be nicer to say you have F3's to go with them?  Bwa ha ha...  :)   Yea, I'm evil like that!  😎
