    Dave,

I think you need 4 LS's at THEE OSU.....can never have too many!

    Hogfan

You're a good man Charlie Brown!  Thanks for that, I think... Sorry, just can't bring myself to say "Go Hogs" so that type is about as close as you're ever going to get!  A little TLC and those LS WOULD be very nice!  Great price and best of luck w/your sale.  Someone's gonna be VERY happy with them!  :)

  2. Would ALMOST be worth the trip South to do both the LS and the pilgrimage!  Yup, I'd hear about it...  "4 Dad???  Seriously???  You only have two ears so I want them for my apartment @ THEE OSU..."  Sorry HOGFAN I had too!!!  Great price on a very nice pair of La Scalas!   Yea, you owe me one HOGFAN... :)

^^Possible I guess at Allstate and AT&T (6 payments) but a $500 dinner in Atlanta and they like Asian food and pizzas

I'd turn it into the local Police/Sheriff departments after notifying your bank about the misuse/fraud.  They'll investigate it since it's a felony because it's banking related.  Back to the old adage Federal = Felony.  I believe it's a 5th degree felony.

I wouldn't be scared of a passive.  There's not much that breaks in those that can't be figured out and fixed easily and inexpensively.  Actives are another animal as far as I'm concerned.  It's probably much ado about nothing though.

Understood and do agree...  She'll figure it out and let me know I'm sure.  She always does!  lol

Fingers crossed for you as you'll have no warranty.  I hope they give you. or whoever you bequeath them to, years of trouble free service.

I was a breath away from buying those for my youngest daughter who's graduating from college in May and that's one of the things that stopped me.  She's a lil geek who'd have them hooked up to everything and the first time something happened we all know who she would call...  This morning she told me she didn't want the Heresy's either..  Too big and too much stuff!  Yet she wants my LS though...  lololol  Hope they work out fine DizRotus!  :)

  7. HAHAHA  My thought process too!  Ya never know but now I do!  :)

    What’s Blue Ray?  ;)

Seriously,  I’ll record it off the air or stream it though Roku.  I want to see it, but don’t need to own it.  I was all over Blue Ray, just like I was with laser discs and rear projection TVs, i.e., those ships sailed without me.

  8. Sure you can...  I had my 2 channel system and just went the route of photography too.   IF you read your manual about 3 times you'll start to get a grip.  Once you have that go get 'em.  I just reached "burn-out."  Everyone wanting all kinds of stuff.  Weddings and there were 20 ppl shooting my poses over my shoulder.  Can't beat that and I'm not one to tell them to leave so I can be "creative."   Just time to settle back into my 2-channel and enjoy!  :)

6 days in and the love affair continues. Having fallen in love with them I am sad that I can't get that first day feeling as I'm getting used to the speaker abilities now ! However, I am sure it will become more obvious when I get in front of some not so good speakers. Still though, they are ridiculously good.

    Now.....for that amp.........

Have you thought about giving Guy a call and asking his advice and if he knows anyone local??  Just  a shot...

  10. Ugh!  Almost ready for another mugga then it's off to the dog park w/my daughter's dog...  Decisions, decisions...  Then a stop at Tim Horton's so she can jump in the drive-thru window and get her donut holes.  Yup, they love her so pop went the weasel one morning...  She actually brought me both the ball and stick one morning...  Two trips and couldn't make up her mind as to what she wanted me to throw...  lol  :)

That's the thing though, you never know who's watching and who's talking your son up.  The great thing about it though he's a great student and having fun...  Now is when you point him in a direction.  My oldest graduates from college next month and decided she was flying out to LA this morning until next Wed.  Gonna stay w/some friends and sleep on their couch...  Hahaha!  Dog sitting for a few days!  Just keep him away from your gear!  lol  Both my daughters knew they'd die if they touched stack rack/turntable.  Every once in a while they'd get to hear some Michael Jackson...  lol

  12. Actually I didn't do it for a living either.  I hung with a buddy who shot for the local paper full-time.  He'd gone to Brooks Institute and got a degree there.  He pretty much taught me darkroom, grid-lines and instilled the drive and we competed every time we went to shoot sports.  We were the best one-two punch in the media around here for years.  I had a stressful job and it was actually my form of stress-relief...  More stress but it worked wonderfully well.  Didn't pay much but the credentials made up the difference in the pay plus it was fun!

  13. Photography is like becoming an audiophile...  Break out the check book.  I've shot professionally for about 28 years stringing mostly sports and spot news for papers and mags. Integrate 12 years in the military, after an MOS change, and now walk w/my right shoulder about an inch lower than my left from the bag full of glass,.  Ha.  Shoot all Nikon w/many of the larger lenses so yea...  You guys w/the McIntosh stuff wanna swap?  I'm walkin funny and it's sittin here collecting dust!  lolol  I guess the bottom line w/photography today is the fact most cells can get great results in a pinch.  Attach a few of the lil lenses that are made for them now and you'll be pleasantly suprised I think.  :)

  14. Congratulations Tom!  Enjoy your speakers and tunes in a new way!  Clean, crisp, clear and most of all cooool.  These guys might push but know and trust in them.  It's an experience that's for sure...  Enjoy and relax...  It'll all sort in time!   Additionally, the story on the Loft is pretty incredible and quite the experience for those involved I'm sure!  :)

  15. Wellllllll, IN my defense, which might not be good since someone's an atty around here...  1.  I'm OLD too.   2. The Amish use steam and pressure to bend oak.  3.  Have an old 1917 S&W .38 in a drawer somewhere.  4.  Some meds cause "visions!"  5.  What's a subwoofer?  Didn't PWK design the LS to NOT have a subwoofer?  So I'll just go with the flow for the most part!  :)
