  1. I count four people on each carry through the front door.
  2. I'm not unboxing anything yet, except the aforementioned DSP, as I'll let the piano movers decide if they want to move things boxed some of the way or not. I'm sure my son and I could probably get the HF sections in and unboxed. However, I'd rather leave room to move the LF sections into place first. It's not a big room and I wouldn't want to be shuffling around the unboxed HF sections unnecessarily.
  3. I'm not moving these behemoths into the house. Piano movers are coming to do it, probably next Wednesday or Thursday.
  4. LOL. Thanks. Are you just looking for a closeup of the big white sticker on the LF box? The boxes themselves have no printing on them other than the usual box strength "circle" on the bottom. There are just the big white labels on the LF box that you can see in the pictures and the serial number stickers on the HF box. Thanks for the reminder about the rubber feet. I'll put some felt circles under them.
  5. I figured I would go through the same list of songs that I used during my "turn" with the Jubilee at JubFest in October 2021, when I first heard them. I spent a lot of time selecting these tracks based on familiarity, imaging, dynamics, different types of vocals, instruments, musical styles, etc. I want to see if they sound close to what I remember them sounding like in the Hope lab listening room. This is it: https://music.amazon.com/user-playlists/dd125d8dc60b40389c79ee7faf583094sune?ref=dm_sh_6fbc-3044-2530-9831-ff910.
  6. The Jubilee were delivered today. I started a new thread for me to post pictures as things happen.
  7. I did open the one HF box in order to get at the DSP. It was kind of leaning against the driver support bracket. It was wrapped in four double layers of foam sheet to fill the space and keep it from moving. A hysterical card was in the DSP box. I'm going to frame that. I put the DSP into the equipment stand. I'll wire it in before the piano movers come.
  8. As King Theoden of Rohan once said, "So it begins." The Jubilee were delivered today. Each Jubilee had the HF box stacked on the LF box, banded together, wrapped and covered with a clear plastic bag. I needed my 6-foot step ladder to get high enough to remove the bag. They had to be separated because the stack was too high for my garage door opening. Guess I won't be parking in the garage until the piano movers get here in a week or so to move them into the house. 🙂
  9. Well, I do have P-39F and the rest of the Palladium line in other systems. However, there is something special about fully horn-loaded.
  10. I'm hoping that the floor-to-ceiling corner bass traps that I have in stacked the rear corners will help keep bass bloat down. 🤞
  11. Sorry Cory, for dragging you into this. The point with my original comment was that Klipsch created these behemoths, and it would have been nice if they had provided guidance or even an optional service for handling these things. It's not something I'd expect the dealers to have to do. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... It was my choice to order them so early. I won't go into all the details of why I did this. @Paducah Home Theater was nice enough to accommodate my request. They have been nothing but great on keeping me up to date on everything during the long journey from then to now. I have no issue with PHT and how they handled this. They are in no way at fault for how long this took.
  12. I'm sure Roy would disagree with this line from that blog post: "must be installed in very large rooms in order to express itself correctly".
  13. Delivery was included in the price of the speakers. But that just means freight delivery to my house because they are not local. Also, these are being directly shipped from Klipsch. The carrier will get them as far as my garage. It's up to me to get them inside and set up. It's been that way with everything I have ordered from them. I don't think any of the Underground Jubilee that my dealer has shipped were treated any differently. I don't blame the dealer for any of the delays or the handling issue. I'm sorry I brought this up.
  14. What I want to see Klipsch do for the Jubilee is provide a "white glove" delivery and setup service for the Jubilee. For a fee, at delivery they would get them into your home, setup, and tested. I know I would have definitely paid for that.
  15. The new Jubilee is significantly heavier than the Underground Jubilee. According to the spec sheet, the cinema Jubilee was 260 lbs. I assume that was for the 3-way configuration. The Underground Jubilee was likely less than that. The new Jubilee is a hair over 400 lbs. The bass bin of the new one weighs more than the fully assembled old one.
  16. The "box" in my second picture is just the "top" that gets inverted and placed over the Jubilee on the pallet. The pallet is the bottom of the "box" and is larger than the cardboard top. As I said, the new Jubilee is about six inches deeper than the Underground, 30 inches vs 24.5 inches. Those pictures were taken at the PWK Birthday Bash this past March. I measured both the upper box and the pallet bottom. Unless the packaging has changed since this first sample, neither the box part nor the pallet bottom will fit through a 36-inch door. The bass bins will have to be unboxed to go through my front door.
  17. Remember, the Heritage Jubilee is heavier than the Underground Jubilee since it's mostly MDF. It's also about six inches deeper than the Underground Jubilee. I was told by the carrier that the shipment weight is a little over 1000 lbs. The pallet in the picture below is the "bottom" of the bass bin "box". The box in the second picture goes over the top and is attached to the pallet. I don't have a pallet jack to get this onto my front stoop and up the additional step into the house. Even if I did, this will not fit though my front door. I also don't have multiple people to help me with this. So, I'd rather pay someone who moves things heavier than these for a living.
  18. I also forgot to mention that the use of the DSP crossover allows for proper time and phase alignment.
  19. The number of "ways" does not always equate to "better". Removing one crossover point means removing any issues introduced by another set of crossover filters. Removing the extra driver removes issues like physical offset, interference, time misalignment, etc. So, the Jubilee can approximate a point source all the way down to the crossover with the bass bin. Also, the combination of the K-402 horn and the custom wide dispersion phase plug extension means greatly superior coverage control compared to the K-400 exponential midrange horn. The K-400 looses vertical control way before they horizontal control, leading to inconsistent coverage. The Celestion Axi2050 is also just a much better mid-high driver.
  20. I have piano movers lined up to get them from the garage into the house. Unfortunately, since I didn't have a delivery date until yesterday, I'll have to wait for an opening in their schedule. So, I may have those boxes in the garage, taunting me, for a week or so. 😞
  21. Woo-hoo! My Jubilee are finally shipping! The long wait will soon be over. This will be how I'll be feeling soon. 😁
  22. Try Tibet Almond Stick. It was recommended to me years ago by the person delivering our solid wood Pennsylvania House furniture. Pretty much no risk, low cost, and can really minimize the appearance of scratches, etc. It won't help if the rub marks are something on top of the finish, but I really like the stuff. Since it's a furniture oil stick (no distillates, just natural oils) you may have to reapply like once a year or so. Worth a shot. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006ZN9OS/
  23. Isn't the tweeter driver on the 3-way KPT-JUBILEE/535-B the K-691? If so, you will not really get anymore top end extension from the 3-way cinema Jubilee than you will from the stock Underground Jubilee. I agree that the K-691 doesn't have the greatest top end but that wasn't the point. The point Roy was making was between the stock 2-way and 3-way old-style Jubilee that the main difference is more SPL.
  24. Roy has said on numerous occasions that the 3-way Jubilee was only needed for getting higher SPL in cinemas that required it. It was the same with the larger number of "ways" in any of the cinema systems. It would not be needed in a home environment. He even mentioned that again in this recent interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIy4YzgPEQw.
