  1. Yep, as I said in my mail to you Ed, I am pretty darned pleased. Almost as nice as Finis score, but not quite. Two pretty good acquisitions in NorCal in the same week though....yeah baby!
  2. Sorry guys, I forgot. The final price on this pair was $2000.00 so I feel like I did OK.
  3. Whew!!! Done guys!!!Sent the gentleman a small deposit and I am picking them up next Sunday, I cannot believe it, I am PUMPED! As I said in my mail to you Fini, thanks for everything AND the offer to help. You too Dan and Ed, you guys are the best! Keep you posted.
  4. Looks like it is done. Just waiting to hear back from Tim on final details for a next weekend pickup. Will let you know when it is done, done.
  5. Good won Fini! Boy I bet Khorns would sound outasight on the Demerol they had me on. Still have not heard back from this guy, sheeesh!
  6. Are you sure about that Fini? I have 6 pretty nice snapshots. Oh yes, AND I have 2 nice corners a well.
  7. Ed, so you have an anniversary AND a marriage on the horizon eh? You are truly blessed. Well, I confirmed with Tim on the KB-WL's the minute I got his photos lastnight but have not heard back yet. After having a colonoscopy yesterday morning, sitting on pins and needles this morning is nothing .
  8. Cool Fini, I gotta learn how to do that picture thing!
  9. Dan, They are KB-WL. Just waiting for the phone to ring.
  10. Yep! I agree Fini. I am just waiting for Tims phone call.
  11. Now I am Khornfused, did I miss out on Marsha somewhere along the line?.
  12. Sorry Fini. Jim is the guy in Tracy with the Mahogany(i guess, cannot seem to get a hold of him, feels like this one is going sideways)Horns and Tim is the guy in Hercules(Craigslist)with the KB-WL's, should hear from him shortly. Hope this helps clear things up a tad.
  13. Well, if I do not hear back from my guy in Tracy within a couple hours(he is not timely at all when it comes to communication)with a 100% commitment, I will probably jump on these tonight. I will post as soon as I talk to the seller again and hear from the other guy or not.
  14. Jims Khorns just happen to be Mahogany and that is my first choice because any other finish(except exotics of course, would not dare cover up rose or ebony)I would have to veneer(waf). So these Mahogany Horns are my first choice.
  15. Oh, almost forgot. The fellow in Tracy that I am working with on the Horns is looking for a set of Walnut Belles to put in the Horns place. He will then have 3 Belles in front with La Scalas in rear. Just thought I would add that as I told him I would help him in his search.
  16. Thanks HornEd, Fini and Gullah for keeping an eye out for me, you guys are exceptional gentlemen to say the least. I have a solid deal going with the fellow in Tracy. Still waiting on a few particulars(not that I really care mind you). May not be this weekend though as he has to let me know when I can head up his way(45 minutes)to pick them up. The guy from the Bay is sending me pics of his Horns this evening. Wanted to have some info on those just in case something goes sideways on the other ones all of a sudden(not on my part). When I get the pics and info, I will pass them along to you fellas for a look see. Due to the help and watchful eyes of you gents, this is truly a dream that looks like it will soon be fulfilled....muchas gracias!
  17. Wow, they are only 30 minutes from me. I used to love these and the 19's...alot. But, Klipsch loyalty will not allow me to have anything other than Klipsch(no, not even vintage Altec, JBL or EV)in the house. Of course if I had a little more room they might be able to co-exist.
  18. Georgie, That is great to hear. When he showed us he had this big "cat got the canary" look on his face I will never forget. He was very proud of that setup.

  20. Thought I might finally have a shot at some local KHorns. No wonder the guy did not respond to my email. Oh well, I guess I snooze, I lose.
  21. From 1978 to 1989 I owned an independent audio dealership in Merced, Ca. Our premier franchise was Klipsch, would not have opened the doors without it. Back in 1982-83, during a week long stay in Hope for training at the Klipsch facility(compound they liked to call it then), myself and four other gentlemen had the great honor and pleasure of being invited to lunch at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul W. Klipsch. We had an incredible afternoon with PWK as we spent quite some time talking model railroading, which was a great passion of Mr. Klipsch. He would travel extensivley, find a train that he liked, take photographs of it and upon returning home, he would set out on the task of re-creating the train in a working scale model. I remember at the time, he had a lap type swimming pool(long and narrow)in the backyard. He had a train setup in the train house that was made up primarily of flat cars, he would put soft drinks, beer, etc., on the flat cars in the train house and run the train out along a track adjacent to the pool to deliver these beverages to waiting guests, we all laughed our butts off when he showed us. But, with all the respect, reverance and admiration I had and still have(always will)for Mr. Klipsch, that afternoon it was Mrs. Klipsch(Valerie)that stole the show. A gracious hostess to say the least, she was truly a wonderful person. What will always stay in my mind is that she took considerable time out of her day just to give the five of us a memorable lesson on the differences between the Steinway and Bosendorfer pianos. She had both Pianos setup in the same room. She played a lovely song for us, first on the Steinway and then the Bosendorfer just so that we could hear/appreciate the difference between these two equally great pianos. She was not in the least worried about spending too much time with us five yahoos! A very unselfish act by a most patient and supportive lady, one which I will always remember with great fondness, respect and admiration. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you Paul and Valerie for being committed in your efforts to giving myself and everyone here a lifetime of entertainment, enjoyment and grand memories. Respectfully, Jordan Jensen, Jr.
  22. About 20 years ago, I saw a set of Cornwalls in a Marilyn Chambers movie! Still can't figure out how I even noticed them.
  23. Moon, Give me the site and the guys handle and I will be more than happy to go over there and lower myself to his level for you. What a SOB!
  24. Thanks John! Yep, I remember when I removed the networks from the Corns that the squawker and tweeter were connected out of phase and thinking it was kind of weird. I guess I should do the same with the ALK's when I put the Corns back together. Since I posted this earlier I had an opportunity to play with the ALK "E" types in the Heresys a bit. I reversed the phase on the squawker and tweeter and the sound is now more open/less restricted, overall a smoother, livelier sound. Sounds like the fog has lifted!
