  1. I'm not about to get into the debate on caps here other than to say for a very minimal investment I am going to try the few options trusted people speak of here to hear which ones my ears and system like the best.
  2. Would this include baby aspirin regimen for a 54 year old do you think (which I do daily) ? We also do a double vitamin D dose daily, 2 in the morn, 2 with dinner, and a C in the morn Got my 2nd Pfizer 2 weeks ago, arm was sore (despite rubbing it) and had a hot flash but feel great now.
  3. Thanks for everyone's guidance and support. There were a couple pair of beaters out there for less but sometimes things happen for a reason. Next stop good cables and orig. recap.
  4. I found some nice 78 Cornwall I Birch Decorators I picked up this week. Very nice. I plan on replacing the Crites caps with Auth Klipsch caps and doing a couple odds and ends like replacing some of the velcro on the screens. They sound very good with Mc MA-230 & 1700.
  5. Any tips on keeping the cabinets polished ? The seem to be cherry with a coat of poly perhaps ? Also there is a good amount of air leaking from the edges around the back panel, after I get the caps updated would you seal the backs ?
  6. Well I ended up nabbing a pair in MUCH better condition than the beater Cornwall's that got sold on me. These are CD-BR ser 145747 and 50 They have the tags and the ser also embossed in the wood on the back. What year would these be ? They have a couple of nicks and the covering is coming off the side of one of risers. Not much to do with the finish I think other than to shine them up and clean the connectors. The left dust cap has a mark but doesn't not seem to effect preformance I need to tilt them back a little bit and replace some of the velcro for the screens. Might visit the Crites Crossover upgrade kits ?
  7. What would you use to remove scratches and marks ?
  8. Thanks guys, unfortunately the tags writing have faded, I'm pretty sure they are CBR's but when I get them home I can post photos.
  9. Hello, Retired newbie here. Looks like I will be picking up a pair of Cornwall I's this weekend. The cabinets could use a refresh. I do not have a shop, but I do have some basics like steel wool, Howard's Feed & Wax, etc. I have had Howard's fade on me in the past on other cabinets. Looking for advice to do a fairly easy cabinet refresh I would be happy with. Thank you kindly.
  10. Yes, I have been watching CL. I figured I would post here as well and to a more friendly group perhaps. I have a Mc MA230 to team up with these.
  11. Thanks, I been looking through tonight, a few tempting other choices there but I'm holding to my first choice. Hoping to find a friendly seller and we can help each other out.
  12. New York, within 4-6 hrs or so. Thanks.
