  1. Soon bullits may be flyin'and regardless of political views I hope we all keep in mind most soldiers would prefer to be with their family's.This thread started as a way to say we support men and women in uniform.I still have the views I came with, but don't feel right mixing soldiers and politics.Soldiers are not politicians, that's the one thing (I hope)we can all agree on. Thanks! to all past and present US armed forces and family's,from which our freedom comes.

  2. Thanks mobile,I take comments as a compliment. As far as MD points,he's typed a whole book, the few good points he did make were by burried by the radical ranting.Never been to OK, can't comment. DND,I am not following Bush,I'm leeding,if he don't get Saddam he will NOT get my vote. What's with the threats to leave the US,I have heard this before(hollywood crackpots),do what ya gotta do.As far as Ashcroft is concerned,I too think he's a little hard core,I really don't care about bongs, unless its Saddams. He still is superior to Reno in almost every way,but is a little far right. TB all free people can say what they believe, even the people that would lay their life on the line for our protection. The statement war is a trade is absurd, these brave men and women would much rather be with their family's.We have "raced" to war for 12 years, the time has come,BYE Saddam.

  3. I really would not care even if Bush was a bleedin' hearted liberal idiot, long as he gets Saddam out.The risk to us all, even the(anti whatever you got)surrender monkies is tooo great. It's true this will not stop terrorism, but will be the 2nd huge blow.I have a responsibility to my family, fellow Americans, freedom loving friends around the world to try to be a part of STOPPING terrorism.ANYONE that thinks Saddam won't keep making WMD and pass em' around to his murderous pals is ......mistaken.

  4. I paid $1250 for my rsw 15,should it be compared to a set of subs at twice that price, sure, but is that a equal comparison?I HIGHLY recommend trying any at the same price point(actual price you pay),I have heard a few subs that best svs imo,for around twice the price. For $1250 I have NOT heard ANY that outperform the rsw15 for music IMHO.Dual ultra's are great, everyone should have a set,or two,but for my $1250/musical taste, the rsw 15 kicks $$s.

  5. I think the rsw 10 would be great in a smaller room with mid size mains,if you like mostly music/5.1 audio. On the other hand even the svs basic models perform well, more $ and it only gets better. The mid/lower line is great for HT,not quite as good with music/5.1 audio,IMHO.I have not auditioned svs top of the line,I'm sure its great, service is legendary.Bottom line, want great HT,some music, svs will do it as good as any(better than many) at its price. HT not really your bag? music you say, more bass than most any mains could ever keep up with.Well, the rsw 12/15 is the best I found for 90% music,10% HT(movies)at $1k/1.4k.The bass is like you plugged your bass guitar into a fender amp,I love it.

  6. Just released on dvd a and dts 96/24 on one disk, live in 78 nyc.The reason I mention is many have spent hard earned money on their set up.This dvd will allow you to hear the full musical potential of 5.1.The entire disc is great, mastered by the original guy, from 24 track quad masters.Frank used 6 channel long ago, this recording was made for multi channel, way back then. The track Zeets is one of the best representations of 5.1 I have heard yet.The quality of this recording is MUCH better than most any new recordings, how its live,1978 and hifi,I don't know.I wish all 5.1 could be so realistic. The guitar work is also fantastic, like Frank is playing his SG in your face.Buy,borrow, but try it,it made me smile!

  7. Is there any chance this is a bass management problem wth the avr?Try it away from corner? If you have tried the other suggestions made and still have a problem, this may be tooo much sub(upper hz) for an 10x11 room.I would not want my 15 in a very small room,it has way more than enough volume to fill my 24x24.If cranked it over powers everthing in my room,rf7's and all.The 12 would have been enough punch, although I do use other subs for extreme lows.Good Luck

  8. MD,find another hobby, the same old line is gettin' oooooold.I do however support your right to free speech/type.I do however think you have given many speeches,at least here.I can also say you talk/type lots without saying anything, except more of the liberal text you all read from.

  9. NOV.1980,first I ever saw/heard of cd.I was at a hifi store buying a new cassette deck.It was midweek and not very busy so I had a look around.I see this large goldish colored thing about 6" high and 19" wide. The guy proceeds to explain to me,this is the future of music etc...I was amazed, thinking, yea for my grandkids.I bought my pioneer cassette deck and left, when I told my friends they thought I was joking.I was happy with my cassette, reel to reel and turntable until 1985.That's when I sold everything and bought a totally new system with cd player.I do listen to vinyl, rarely, but it does have that hifi sound I kinda miss.I gave up cassettes when I got a cd player for my van 1986,never liked the cassettes just covienience for auto.Whats next, maybe a chip with everything an artist ever recorded, probably sound like crap?

  10. I wonder how many lives the US bashing by protesters, of which some don't even know what they are protesting will cost? This gives Saddam great comfort, making him think he can fool the world,or the world is fools, not sure which. When ask, what is the US invading for, many said oil. When ask why the US did not take over the oil after Desert Storm, many said,hmm...good question.
