  1. Hi Jeff Great that we landed on a quality amp worthy of the investment. Appreciate your views.
  2. Hi Jeff. Tks for sharing. The price point is pretty good. This power amp for its quality is really affordable. It should.be at least two or three times the price. May I ask if you have two of these xtz power amps fed to each speaker or one. And out of curiosity what was lacking in your denon and how it is sounding now. As your denon model is pretty good from my impression similar to my onkyo model I believe. Does your denon with the xtz sound better with movies too? I was actually looking at emotiva and cambridge power amps but i finally ended up with the xtz cause it was really that good and doesnt get hot at all. I actually have my power on the xtz always on. And its not hot. From what I researched, the emotiva while its a good amp can be lean sounding and cambridge 851 W again with its merits can run super hot. I did audition the cambridge and i somewhat felt this xtz had better sonic abilities. The xtz is just so very clear transparent, has impressive soundstage and adds so much tightness and punch to the bass. I dont even use my subs now for stereo music. And before i added this power amp I was actually quite happy with my onkyo. Just never knew the difference could have been so significant. The xtz may be a little forward sounding but more in a lively way rather than fatiguing. This ICE Power amps are really something I must say. Think its getting the better of class A/B amps. So much so am considering a second one. I find better results with my 2 channel stereo as compared to movies. But that could also be because I havent fully calibrated my system as yet. Would be glad to hear your views.
  3. Hi Jef I have an Onkyo RZ830 and Klipsch 6000f RP speakers. I have the xtz and it has remarkably improved the clarity openness or transparency and as you said the bass punch. Was intially skeptical if I should get a power amp as my Onkyo does hold its own and has decent power with 120 watts at 8ohms 2 channel driven. The xtz is 150 watt 2 channel driven at 8 ohms. So thought it may not make much of a difference. But I was surprised. It did make a significant difference. Gets louder too. Glad it made a whole lotta difference to your set up too. Was initially thinking of Cambridge 851 and Emotiva power amps but the xtz has come out fine. Now am considering getting two of these to power each speaker separately. Not sure if anyone has tried that. Pity this amp is relatively unknown compared to the big guns and deserves the good reviews so more would be aware.
  4. Wondering if any fellow enthusiasts here have tried out the XTZ A2-300 Stereo Power Amp with your AV Receivers and Klipsch speakers or in any other combination with your sound system. Would love to hear your experiences.

  6. Hi Anyone has used the Mini DSP to help tame frequencies of your speakers. Does it just tame the low frequencies or most frequencies. I have a peak of 250hz in my living room and planning to use the Mini DSP to tame some frequencies from my subs paired with my Klipsch speakers. Planning to also add on some acoustic panels. Does it also work better with acoustic panels? Anyone has any experience or thoughts on this; please do share. Appreciate it
  7. Sorry what this would mean pl?
  8. I see. Yes. My amp says the same thung subwoofer yes. So in essence i dont lose out on amything if the amp does npt recognise the second sub; but it plays anyway.
  9. Yes you are right Baron. It does not have a 5.2 2 mode. Strange right. When it has all.other combinations. So how do I address this or leave it be. What do I gain or stand to lose with the non recognotion as the two subs are connected and working
  10. Looking for some help I have set up 2 sub woofers. I am on 5.2.2 with front height speakers. But my onkyo amp RZ 830 doesnt recognise my second sub in 5.2.2 settings. It recognises 6.1.4 or 7.2.4 but not 5.2 2. It only recognises 5.1.2 instead of 5.2.2 May i know why and any of you can help me address this. Really appreciate it

  12. Tks Bill. Good advise Patience is a rare virtue at least for me in terms of getting the best sound. . But i need to adopt that.
  13. Tks! Guess it should be ok then
  14. Seeking some advise. I currently have a Jamo 8 inched sub. Its decent with a needed punch but not the wall rattling types. Am planning to get a second sub but of a different make and model, Klipsch SPL 100 10 inch. Would having two different subs, even out the bass response and solve some room acoustics and have greater effect. I have a Klipsch front floor standers RP 6000f and centre channel 600C and Jamo floor standing surrounds and height speakers. Appreciate your thoughts.

  16. Thanks Henrick for your views. Yes you described toeing in perfectly. Am experimenting with various techniques to get the best sound. Hope this works.
  17. 8 posts Report post Posted Wednesday at 01:13 PM Hi Anyone tried putting foam pads in the rear port of your Klipsch speakers? I finally bought the Klipsch RP 6000f speakers and 600c centre channel. Have an old Jamo 10 inched sub to go with it along with Jamo surrounds. The Klipsch RPs sounds terrific crystal clearv( have them toed in a little 7.9 feet apart) but i felt the bass a bit boomy with some possible reflections. This is likely due to the back of the klipsch speakers being only 11 inches away from the wall. So getting some advise from a friend, i inserted a relatively thick ( as in not so thick) foams folded them and insterted into the rear bass port of the front speakers. It doesnt entirely cover it, only partially. The bass has tightened somewhat and the sound has cleaned up not very echoey. More fuller sound; so it appears. But am not sure will I comprise some of the details of the music. So just checking with the experts here has anyone tried something like this and your experiences with it; as in did you have cleaner, clearer sound. Also anyone tried not toeing in your fronts, is it better or toeing in sounds better. My main listening position is about 7.9 feet away from my speakers For my sub i have put small rubber like a stick on to prevent it from moving ( what you put under chairs). Cheap DIY. Havent tested that yet. Or do you guys thing putting like a rubber yoga mat type under the subwoofer is better rather than rubber stick ons i have now. Please feel free to share. Appreciate your advise. Btw Klipsch rocks. Love the 6000f. What a bunch of speakers!

  19. Hi All As I am intending to purchase Klipsch towers; would love to hear experiences from owners of the RP 6000f. Have been seeing good reviews on these speakers so far but nothing beats first hand experience. Please feel free to share. Will really be handy. Thank you.
  20. Oh tks. Wow thats rather intricate. But based on my current jamo set up. I dont use the sub. But i dont think i have separate eq settings for music and movies.
  21. Tks for your elaborate response. I will be using the sub for my movies. For music I will be using the speakers with crossover from receiver no subs. Do i need to change settings and not rely on Accu EQ settings. Or just play pure direct for music Yes I intend to audition the speakers before final purchase.
  22. Thanks for your advice. Looks like 6000f would be fine and yes I have a smaller room . Do you think it will pair well with the onkyo rz830. I have an old jbl 10inch sub. any worthy upgrade at a reasonable price. Also in terms of centre channel Klipsch 600C compared to 500C is comparatively better? Hoping to upgrade that is why I have a few changes in my audio set up Appreciate your feedback.
  23. Am new here and appreciate advise from the audio gurus and owners of Klipsch. I am looking at getting Klipsch rp 6000f floor standers and 600C centre channel speaker. Am hoping to pair them with my newly bought onkyo RZ 830 amp and my old jamo surround floor standers as well as front height bookshelf speakers jamo ( S 416 series old, but fairly decent) and old jbl 10 inch sub. Going for a 7.1 set up. Am hoping to have good bass. My Jamo does offer rich deep bass with a warmth signature but I gather it cant match the clarity and soundstage of Klipsch, which is why I wish to upgrade after hearing positive reviews of the Klipsch RP series. But how about the bass? Does Klipsch 6000f offer good rich deep bass as well? Also will it match my onkyo rz 830? I am used to warm sound, but not too bright. Would the Klipsch RP 6000f be more clear and dynamic and give room filling sound as the reviews suggest? Second, how is the Klipsch 600c centre channel compared to 500C. Should I look to upgrade my sub as well Any good ones at a reasonable price range? My room is not really big. Its a small living room hence am looking at the 6000f as opposed to the 8000f. Appreciate your advise. It will be pretty helpful in my upgrading plans. Thank you
  24. Hi I would like to hear views on the Klipsch reference premier 6000 f (planning to get two front standers) and centre speaker 600 C. Hoping to pair this with my jamo S416 floor standers as surround (old and cheap but decent) and the Jamo bookshelves as my front height speakers. This would be paired with onkyo RZ 830 with some adequate power. Thought it may be good if I am intending to get klipsch- more power the better the drive since klipsch speakers I am told can be driven easily. . Heard the ref premier series is pretty good and has toned some of the overwhelming brightness in previous models. Just hope it has good bass as I am used to the deep bass in Jamo which i intend to replace the front two speakers with the klipsch. I gather jamo and klipsch have different sound textures, the former being much warmer but with recent reviews of the klipsch rp series, I feel.the klipsch may be more dynamic and clear compared to what I am used to with the Jamos. Hoping to get advice from enthusiasts. Appreciate it.
