my search for audio perfection... It is pretty short.Series one Bose 301's- purchased in '77... and then a Yamaha system in the early 90's. Had to leave it in HI when I moved back to the mainland... Later in life I bought a pair of baby Klipsch bookshelf R15M's. Liked them and wanted more/bigger. 6 months later found a pair of '76 LS. No regrets Needed some speakers for my doghouse... bought a pair of RP600M's. They are very nice.. but, I much prefer listening to the LS. -
I clean and lube mine [almost] every year. It's amazing how much difference clean blades make ... not to mention all of the stuff on the "grill"

Was telling the wife that if we went to HI right now, she would get off the plane and say it was cold. Our A/C is a fan.

My wife spent 6 mo in Malaysia Whenever I mention going to HI, she says NO... because that is what she knows as tropical that weather sounds miserably warm and wet sleep... no... I nap was looking at the lawn. I decided it wasn't weedy. They are companion plants for the grass.

...if you want/need to be outdoors. That is the only time of day that it's cool and light. I had a friend that made/dried jerky on the clothesline. Serious now, if you are in Phoenix, time of day doesn't matter. It cools down to 90`

funny thing about our summer record high temps... they are only 10`+ the average. I guess it can only get so warm at this elevation. In the winter ... the record highs are ~20`+ average. I was up at 1:30AM stumbling around. I figured the juice would be back on by then....Boy, it is dark... Had a smoke and a cup of day old/cold coffee,... contemplating dusting off the hand crank coffee grinder. That thing makes you work for your coffee...

I was beginning to wonder if I was needing to use alternate methods to make coffee this AM. We had a bit of a storm yesterday afternoon. The electricity went down. managed to find the manual can opener for/to make dinner When it didn't come back on by evening, it started looking serious. At 3:30 AM, lights came on. I was starting to think about building a fire and digging out the stovetop percolator Whew!

if you're worried about masculine image, sling an AK or cane knife over your shoulder. Nobody will give you grief.

I gave up trying to gain weight.... not like I didn't do some heavy work. Mason tending... It was funny. I would get home from a day and not be able to put my arms to my sides. Walking like a 6 ft tall/126lb bulldog. LOL Didn'r gain an oz.

I have too short of an attention span to watch [most] movies. When I was trying to gain weight, I drank many chocolate malt milkshakes. Got pretty good at making them. No... I didn't gain weight.

my bad... I picked it off the newscast. I read it off the entrance gate/walls

I can relate to that pain.... When I messed up my back, my right leg lit up like it was on fire and I about peed myself.

this isn't funny, but, shall we say, coincidental those homes in a CA, that are sliding down the hill are located in a development called Rolling Hills.

got a little chuckle... on cl, a pair of Heresy are listed as excellent condition... including the custom blue paint job. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/ele/d/phoenix-klipsch-hersey-pair/7639425580.html first phone call of the day came from William Bailey. That prompted me to answer with a chorus of "Won't you come home Bill Bailey?"....

sounds like theme for many C&W songs.

thanks for that @Islander yesterday... I made coffee before I had coffee. OK OK... duh I need to drink coffee before I make coffee. I forgot to put the carafe in the machine. I am very happy for our sink set up. Drainer on each end. The coffee machine lives on one. The mess ran into the sink.... it was a mess. The machine stops the coffee from leaving the machine if there isn't a carafe... I had coffee grounds in the reservoir, By the time I realized the problem and shoved a pot in ... the "drain" was plugged with grounds. I did salvage 2/3 of the pot. Tasted like boiled coffee. Drinking on a pint of maker's mark. I'm trying to trick myself into thinking it's better than it is by replacing the screw cap with a cork...lol the day finished better than it started. It did get worse before it got better. Took the wife to work. Got out of the car when I got home and couldn't get upright. My back did it's trick w/o me noticing. Wasn't feeling too sharp when I returned to pick her up. late afternoon ... it rained. Made the bs worth surviving. Nice lightning. The AirForce scrambled and did some air-to-air combat training over town... in the weather.

the cats get more of them than I care to talk about. We have one that caught 2 bats...

got the wife back home. The dust is settling. Her vacation wasn't much relaxing. A lot of things going on in her fam... I was tending the garden yesterday ... a hummingbird was checking me out. It flew around my head and stopped right in my face. Eye-to-eye. It couldn't have been more than 6in from my face. It hovered there for 15 seconds or so.It was pretty cool. I don't encourage them to get friendly. The cats ...

My dad was approached by a classically trained clarinetist for music lessons. She wanted him to teach her to play jazz. It didn't go too well.

You mean like putting 5 people on a Honda 100 and riding around? nope... we never did anything silly. A friend had to buy a door for a taxi after he smashed it while we were playing ditch 'em on bicycles
