  1. 15 days left to pledge! We just broke past the $60K mark. If you yet haven't pledged for a copy of the book, you'll only have 15 more days. We won't be offering any preorders after the campaign ends Just a reminder that if we don't meet our goal, no one gets charged and the book doesn't get made. Tell a friend to tell a friend! Greatly appreciate everyone's support!
  2. thank you @geezin'! spreading the word is the best way to get this project to come to fruition!
  3. Hi! @KT88 and @Travis In Austin We would have loved to have a distributor in the EU but unfortunately that wasn't possible. We recommend for those looking to save on overseas shipping to gauge interest from friends and try to grab a bundle. Thank you everyone for your support! 70% funded, almost there.
  4. A solid news piece on the project, if you're not yet convinced https://thevinylfactory.com/features/dope-from-hope/ We only have 27 more days to meet our goal - are about 30% funded so far! Would appreciate any spreading the word. Here's a breakdown of the total Kickstarter goal so you know where the number came from:
  5. Yay! Thanks everyone. So grateful to have your support on this long-overdue project.
  6. Hi folks of the forum and beyond! It feels great to be able to say that our Kickstarter campaign for the Dope From Hope is live 👀 Watch the mini documentary film and get the full story at the link above. The first-ever Dope From Hope book will only be available via Kickstarter for the next 30 days. For those unfamiliar, they are the largest crowdfunding platform with a special audience for book projects like this one. The project is about five years in the making, run by yours truly and my partner, Paul Raffaele, with the full support of the board at the Museum 🥰 Any questions, comments, etc ~ you know where to find me!

  9. Hiya there! Starting January 31st, you'll be able to preorder the first-ever book compiling the entirety of Dope From Hope papers. This will be available exclusively on Kickstarter -- we've listed more info here: tell a friend to tell a friend!
  10. Hi all! Barbie and Paul here who are behind the Kickstarter campaign launching on January 31st 2023. Very excited about the prospect of this book coming to life, as it's been a long time in the making. First conversations started around 2018, and in 2019 we traveled to Hope to visit the Museum, talk to everyone involved, and officially pitch the project. We were all set to launch the 30 day campaign in March of 2020, just two days after the US went into lockdown. As you can imagine, it was a big blow to put it on hold, but it felt best to not dive in to such precarious waters. Now, almost 3 years after our original date, we are fully ready to launch! The past two years were not easy, considering all the supply chain disruptions in which the cost of paper skyrocketed. Things are feeling back to quasi-normal in the publishing world, and with renewed interest in how we listen at home, we feel this is the perfect time. The book will only be available as a preorder via Kickstarter from January 31st for 30 days. Because Kickstarter is an "all or nothing" platform, if we don't get funded, the book won't get made. We are setting out to print 1000 copies, which will be the first-ever book putting together the full collection of Dope From Hope, plus words by Jim Hunter and Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy. The book will feature high resolution scans of the newsletters, plus never before seen materials and drafts. It will be a beautiful cloth hardcover, foil stamped, coffee table book size. For those not on social media, you can sign up for updates in two ways: - On the Dope From Hope website, where you'll hear from us directly leading up to and on launch day: https://www.dopefromhope.com/ - On the Kickstarter Preview Page, where you'll be notified by Kickstarter once the project is live: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1243483657/the-dope-from-hope-book Our campaign page will feature a short video explaining the journey to date but we can't reveal that just yet. We can share a rough mockup of what the book will look like, though final design may be tweaked, the parameters won't change much. For those who already signed up for updates on dopefromhope.com or on the campaign itself, there's nothing to do for now but hang tight! We are rolling out some exclusive archival material straight from the Klipsch Museum of Audio History's archives on social, for those who dabble in it. If you have any questions for us, from who we are to why we're doing this, we'd be happy to answer! Our Klipsch journey is quite unconventional and always makes for fun stories. Thanks for reading! Barbie and Paul
