  1. Yes, almost like new. Have You heard of Good Old HiFi ?
  2. Go Dave, go!! Crank it!! 😈
  3. Yep, ripped a pretty hole into my wallet. But it is a serviced unit. I´ve been pacing around it for a year now and finally pulled the trigger. Next I have to build more shelves to put it in, next to the two TTs that will connect to it. The guy who sold it also had a serviced Model 650 for sale, but that would have been 1.800€... Also interesting was a Optonica SM4646. Well, the Kenwood won, with it´s coolness-factor. Now spinning: Using the "shuffle function" by Discogs.
  4. Now that You mention it... New slang, I love it!
  5. What´s bromance? 😄 🙃
  6. Some more DP, while testing this clunker:
  7. A veritable side-business then! Great! Yo can buy more gear to mod! 🙃
  8. I will look at it later today. The seller is very kind, he let´s me take it home to test in my room and my speakers ( I leave deposit (?) (The geman word would be "Pfand"...). Then I can decide, if I want to keep it. If I do, the deposit will be the first payment. Have to go with a friend. We´ll go in his car, I don´t own one, and the amp weighs 16 kilos...
  9. Yes, that´s why buy used, most of the time. Can´t be helped with new albums though...
  10. Buying vinyl by the pound now? 😲 Or: Good things come in big packages (and sometimes small ones too.). Looking forward to see what You got there!
  11. But You have to admit, You have more posts here in this thread alone than I do in the whole Forum... 😄
  12. Yes, please bear with me, I´m only a beginner.... 😇
  13. @JohnJHey John, this one is for You!
  14. I have a double set-up in my living room as well, the Heresys and my Klipsch RF3s (a two way design). I find that I like to listen to classic and jazzy music on the Heresy, pop and metal and the like on the RF3. The Heresy is even better suited to listening at low levels (late at night) and miss nothing of the sound. I think that´s what people want to say when they talk about speakers opening up sooner. I listen to my music in linear mode all the time, except radio.
  15. Welcome to the Forum! And congrats on a pair of nice H1´s and the nice man-cave they will live in! What You describe is what Klipsch is known for. I call it the "honest sound", good source in – good sound out; bad source in .... Also some people new to horns call them harsh at times. Enjoy! P.S.: You seem to lack space, but it would be interesting to set up the Heresys and the JBLs together and A/B them.
  16. Dave, nothing new out of Your caverns that hold your collection?
  17. Certainly Michael bought a lot of vinyl recently. Maybe he spins, secretly so nobody notices. 😇 😉
  18. I´ve picked up a great seller over in the Dual Board. Easily half of my vinyl collection I bought from him now. I still have a bunch that I haven´t washed yet. Lots of UFO, Ozzy and DP to come. Right now I´m thinking about getting a vintage amp, Kenwood or Optonica. I hope the seller (seems to be a little shop.) has some horns there for a test listening...
  19. I understand it´s considered to be one of their weaker albums by fans. I think the cover-art and the music do not match 😄. Reminds me of Foreigner in some parts.
  20. Usually that means it´s some kind of Bootleg. Those are not allowed for sale on Discogs...
