I too recently bought a Kscc1 off of Ebay. I love it other than that metal grille! It blends well with the KG4.5s, both have the same sensitivity rating. After going from an Optimus..... well you get the picture. ------------------ -Billyc>s>

My KG4.5s have MCM woofers in them now. They sound good, but... I am thinking about going to Klipsch woofers. I was wondering if its worth it to go to the K1089-AV 10" woofer like the Rf7s have? I believe they have that cool gold look. Mine originally came with ICG cones. ------------------ -Billyc>s>

I scored a set of KF4.5s locally. After listening to them, and going head over heels.... I found this sight... Then I started cruising ebay...I just bought a KSCC1 center, there are deals all over. I cant wait to change all over to Klipsch. ------------------ -Billyc>s>

I second Roger Waters! I think the version of "Mother" rivals the original....just meant to be sung by women. I'm surprised no one mentioned... Metallica S&M,....This sets the standard for intensity, fullness and dynamics! Springsteen.."Live in New York" is good too. ------------------ -Billyc>s>

Thanks for the reply. I talked to my buddy yesterday - to let him know I'm getting the speakers. He said he had called the number you have and got a quote of around $86.00 per woofer. He replaced the woofers with MCM...they have rubber surounds, 2" voice coils, 8ohm,and 35oz magnets. He said that he and another guy had switched out several woofers and hadn't heard any difference! I'm going to use these woofers for a while, and concentrate on switching over the rest of the speakers to Klipsch. ------------------ -Billyc>s>

Very nice forum here, lots of the discussions here helped sway me to purchase the used KG4.5s I've been listening to.. The woofers have been replaced, I'll have to look up the specs on the replacements; ..Will I gain much by going back to the originals? Where can I find them at the best price? Thanks.
