@Tarheelsometime when ya get creative put the finishing touch to it. Slice and dice some carrots, celery and onion for in the catch pan. Then pour a small bottle of Mateus over the roast, cover and fire things up. Let it go for a few hours in the oven basting whenever just don't ignore it. Crazy what a few veggies and a bottle of Mateus can do to a standing rib.. It'll make those apple plates look stellar!

Cookin? I've been down an out in Beverly Hills for the past couple days. Picked up the flu that's hammering people. Wasn't too bad just out of it for a coupe days. Just light headed for the most part but I'm like that on a daily basis. -6 earlier, factor in the 30 mph winds and it's a balmy -29 outside "they" say. Both my girls were here yesterday on some kind of treasure hunt I think. They're funny as heck when you get them together. Raping my wallet and snagging family heirlooms and other stuff. They're finally figuring out what kind of hoarder and scrounge I really am. lol Sounds like you have a battle plan already Tarheel. No doubt that swankster is gonna have another Christmas feast. I know you're slicin off those lil pieces of that prime and feeding him under the table. lol Happy Holidays to everyone and stay safe & warm.

Time to unzip this bad boy. Third Degree is an album by Johnny Winter , released in 1986 and the last of his trilogy on Alligator Records . For the occasion, Winter temporarily reunited with former bandmates Tommy Shannon and Uncle Red Turner for three of Third Degree's songs. Another notable guest is Dr. John , who is featured in "Love, life and money" and "Tin pan alley." Also included on the album were two acoustic songs, for which Johnny Winter practiced for months on a National Steel Guitar (Evil on my mind and Bad girl blues). Killer! Enjoy the shred!

Hot tubs are great up here in the winter. Skinny dippin in the middle of winter always works. It's just getting back inside w/o freezing to death when you get out. I remember one Xmas I was done runnin on the 23rd so slipped out to take a dip. Water was cool and I realized the pump was toast in the middle of a snowstorm. Yup, drained and blew all the lines out and kissed off my "me" time" while freezing to death. Next spring I added another reserve pump in line. One dies, ya fire the other up. Don't know how cold you get but it's something to think about. Keep life simple cause that was a pita for sure. Scotch huh? hahaha March??? 😂 Gotta love those RBLS but a table top they're not! THAT would totally suck! Hitting here in the US pretty hard. Perhaps another COVID mutation? Lots are catching Covid w/a positive test then you're clean and BOOM you have the flu about 3 days after you're done with the Covid. Brutal to say the least. Stay safe brother cause it's not going anywhere soon imo.

Only advice I have on that is don't move a small heater too close to your feet if you have neuropathy! Good news last week was "only a couple more montns." So yea, about 5 months total maybe. Unzipped this recent drop, 25 years huh youngin? It's a nice lil package for that consumer with some very good tunes. Still trying to figure out all this Hendrix stuff he supposedly plays.
