  1. Ooopsie! Gilmour is sounding stellar! It's nummy! lol
  2. It's just those little things in here. Sharin the love and expanding one's mind. Now what should I play today is the question? Go back to the old sound or the remasters is the question. Got it. All that Floyd "Animals" stuff brought this to mind. Yup, that's it but I'm feelin it. Oh wait "Division Bell?" Yup, too early for "Pulse" and "animals" not so much.
  3. Well George is back! 😂 😂 😂 Nah not that bad but kinda. I started in the Army after living my life as a kid on the tennis courts. Found out ya gotta be crafty and think things thru So when I bought my first house I had a long narrow room. Set the table up with about 4 feet of space to the wall. I had about 10 behind me w/strategically placed furniture. He was trapped like a rat and never caught on. Too funny though. Hot day, off w/the t shirt and I noticed all these round red spots. .. waiting for the telephone repair. Sometime today was as specific as they could get. Cable was spotty everywhere for about 3 days last week but only in the evenings so I called. I wound up setting up everything up for a new TV. He saw my gear and flipped out @ the battle plan. Told him to stop by after the first of the year. He didn't find the "bad router" they told me it was on the phone. Break time for him. lol Jimmy Olsen signing out.. Oh yea, the leaves? It's begun. 😂
  4. Now I'm right back into Dr John's last one. Then it's back to my regularly scheduled programming.
  5. Blah, blah... After perusing a thread on the 2018 remix of Floyd's "Animals" I had to dig mine out. It just got shoved in with the rest of the new stuff so I had to unzip it. Sounds perfect in every way here. Curiosity killed the cat yanno. Yea, ya wanna cause it's killer! :)
  6. Good vinyl, great mastering, digging deep and I just put it away sealed when I got it? That didn't last very long after reading this thread. No whining here. It sounds fantastic. Linn, Dynavector 20x, Primaluna, LS and a JBL SP128s sub,
  7. A group of us played for years together down in my basement. It got pretty serious when they started calling me the weltmeister. Got a couple nice paddles and was blowing them into my buddy. He got slimey and took off his shirt. We all started laffin cause he had red spots all over his chest and stomach from the ball. Yea, it got pretty serious just about every day. Factor in all the beer and thihgs it was actually pretty funny. lol Aside from that it's all good in the hood. Leaves are now just about covering my front and back yard. Gotta love oak trees. It hasn't even started and I informed them all I wasn't brooming yards this year w/the foot. Yup, they haven't touched a rake. Sucks to be me. db's? What the heck are db's? Just crank it!
  8. The red-headed step child comes to mind...
  9. Lucky YOU! lol Nice out today but it's gonna go bye bye pretty soon. Chili? Someone mention chili???
  10. Break's over. Have fun & play nice tonight. I get to take a shower pretty soon then some toe jam and a clean bandage job!
  11. “Mac” Rebennack (pka Dr. John) was planning future projects when his life was suddenly cut short in 2019. Now, three years after his untimely passing, a new studio album, Things Happen That Way, has finally been released. The album, that arrived Sept. 23, 2022, on Rounder, features three new original new compositions, a reworking of his own 1968 classic, “I Walk on Guilded Splinters, plus new interpretations of songs by Willie Nelson, Cowboy Jack Clement, Hank Williams, and the Traveling Wilburys. I only have one thing to say about this album. Ahhhmazing! Sure, I got it outta respect for him and I'm so glad I did. It's ALL him and it ALL flows and will be over before you know it. Amazing production, it's clean as a whistle and so tight I was left shaking my head after BOTH sides. His last studio lp and I just bought a 2nd copy to put away. KILLER! I know ya wanna open that extra window to check me out. Have at it & you'll order it! hahaha Chicken??? 😂
  12. Then there's this lil girlie girl. Susan Tedeschi with her "Just won't Burn" lp. Her second from 1994.
  13. Sounds like you're just about back to abby-normal George. 😂
  14. Wellll, it's been some up and down the past couple days... I'm up too much flippin and spinnin. Sliding around some in my chair putting things away. Found this one last evening totally out of place and it brought back a few memories. Soft Machine are an English rock band from Canterbury formed in mid-1966. Though they achieved little commercial success, the Soft Machine are considered by critics to have been influential in rock music.[4][5][6] Dave Lynch at AllMusic called them "one of the more influential bands of their era, and certainly one of the most influential underground ones"Sharing the same management as Jimi Hendrix, the band supported The Jimi Hendrix Experience's North America tour throughout 1968.[8] Soft Machine's first album was recorded in New York City in April at the end of the first leg of the tour.
  15. Trip to the burn clinic today. Back in two weeks now. It's healing, which amazes me. Told my oldest daughter it might be healed by summer and heard her groan & whine a bit. She's been changing the dressings daily and it's starting to tax her a bit. She'll survive. Me? I dunno. 😂 Could be the last nice weekend if the temps hit the 70's like "they" say they will. A lil ballin and the TV works for me. Could break out the grill but that sounds like work. Maybe though. Worthlessness is a good thing w/me.
  16. That we are Mossy! Good to see you're here with more of that "eye-candy" of yours!
  17. Nice score on that album Paul! It's a great album imo. I know it sounded great @ your place.
  18. Welllllll, I've been into my pile here so will have to get some posted. Sneaking over to the turntable a bit but not as much as usual. lol Saw the burn doc today and I'm not back for two weeks now. Toes are looking a lot batter overall but that pinky isn't looking good. They said those pinky toes are tough to heal so we'll see what tricks they have up their sleeves. Glad to hear you're outta there and feeling better George. Take it easy now. As if
  19. Signed is a nice touch though.
  20. Lossless, DAC's, other stuff? Ha! I just pull it and play it. I've got enough here me thinks. Although... 😂
  21. BB King passed 8 years ago and this old favorite STILL shines thanks to TTB.
