  1. $850 is an excellent price for KP-301s. They're very efficient; for a while I was running mine with a 30W Marantz, though they do really shine with more wattage. 125W is plenty. I can't imagine that converting the back would hurt value.

  2. In 2020 a collection of 16mm film was discovered of Tom Petty, capturing a prolific songwriting streak from 1993-95 making the album "Wildflowers" with producer Rick Rubin. Petty was known for being reclusive about his personal life and creative process. "Somewhere You Feel Free" is a candid and musically rich look into the legendary artist's creative genius.

Why does anyone care about thread being dead? So strange to me. If I am looking for answers I dont care how old the thread is. I dont skip dead threads. Whenever I find the thread, it is new to me and anyone else that comes across the thread after it stops gaining additional comments.

    So weird...

I'm with you, Tony. But some members seem to enjoy patrolling the forums and calling out the replies to old threads. Everyone needs a purpose in life, you know.

The Cessna 190 was an extremely difficult airplane to fly. I have about 40 hours in one (my dad’s close friend owned one). The flaps were tiny, essentially had no effect so you really had to plan ahead.

Giant radial Jacobs engine, zero visibility while taxing, had to zig zag to see where you were going.

But if you could get something inside the cabin, you could fly away with it. Supposedly Pancho Barnes and friends bagged a moose on a hunt and managed to fly it out.👔

  5. I usually stream music, but my collection of physical media is growing. I have listening areas in my home and out in the shop, and I needed media storage in the shop. I try to keep things out there on casters for cleaning and rearranging so that's a requirement. When I looked online, there wasn't much that fit the bill and what did was expensive, so I started looking at DIY. I found this thread http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/record-bin-from-single-4-x-8-sheet-of-plywood-plans.337891/ over on Audiokarma.org and decided to modify it with CD storage drawer, slide-out lower album bin and a "now-playing" shelf. I'm not a builder and this was the first time I'd ever built drawers or tried staining anything...it came out fine for the shop, lol.
