these LSI are 80's------similar to your LSI's  except the cabinets have routed rounded corners as well as rounded openings for the tweeter   and midrange , Crossover is AL-   K55M  midrange driver and square magnet k77 -k43 basket , the wood is Birch slightly thicker than 3/4 inch and these cabs do not resonate as far as the side walls -------- the only trim the speaker has is an aluminium lip on the V on the dog house , finish is textured paint similar to Duratex ---the badge is a large alumnium badge powder coated with the klipsch logo

They belong to a friend who buys/sells/trades.

49 confirmed sales of H1's in Good condition $387 and 46 confirmed sales of H1's in Avg/Poor condition $330 over a three year span to come up with the averages I quote.

Really appreciate the work that goes into collecting that data and it's a useful tool. Thank you. I'm going by advertised prices, so maybe the sale prices are a lot lower, but I think market is a little high here on Heresy's. But I do see decent prices occasionally on Chorus, Forte, etc. Odd.

Heresy I's go for $400 all day long.  These are owner re-finished going from Birch Raw to a dark walnut.

I'd go $300 tops and only if I was really wanting a pair of H1's.

Maybe.  I watch local ads etc. and haven't seen a decent set of H1s near Nashville for less than this in over a year. I would't take less in this area. Maybe because it's Music City, I dunno.

Great job , wait till you see how heavy these are

Yeah, I'll bet. I expect I'll be leaving those casters on them. I'm picking them up on Tuesday and the seller said he'd help load, but I'm taking my lift table to be safe.

    congrats @chassell

I have a pair very similar, only splits. Built like tanks. Great sounding speakers especially outside. May need a little TLC but worth the work.

Yeah, I guess I'm going down the Industrial rabbit hole. I got a set of HIPs from DaveA awhile back with his tweeters and love 'em in my shop building. I can make room for Lascalas.🙂

yep  , like @JRH   Stated , these speakers  made it back to the USA from Germany - ,  Military gear ,  these LSI have the Aluminium trim and the fibreglass coating over birch wood ,  1st time I see this in a 1978 LSI  , 1piece cabs ----most are 80's and 90's  ,  great AA crossover ---round alnico k77--  k55V  -k43

all Alnico drivers , the trim extends all the way , down the sides and tops and  the bottoms all around ----this is nuts in  terms of expensive trim cost , , you got 500$  in trim alone   this speaker could be easy 15-20  lbs overweight as casters wheels are bolted to the bottom panel  ---

with 87 watchers , these speakers are gone

I've sent an offer.  We'll see.

1750$ for a nice set ,  looks quite  reasonable -do you have pictures ?

what year ?  -70's -80's-90's ---  with trim or no trim ----sealed backs or open  --1 piece or 2 piece split  cabs -AA or AL -K55V or K55M -K77M or K77 ----Black textured or Fibreglassed -   Square corner cabs or rounded edges --

I believe these to be 80s models.  Sealed backs, 1 piece, AA, black textured with no trim, not sure which tweets and mids.image.thumb.png.08740fd8ed80c5062f5038fa69719177.png

Funny this was brought up because a picked up one of the last pieces of my audio puzzle today in Savannah, GA. and I’m feeling the same way.
Now that I’m happy with the system it is time to sell off some of the pieces that got me to this point. Klipsch KP 301ii  klipsch kp115X
klipsch KPT 456. I will list them in the Klipsch garage for sale section after I get some pictures, point being that audio satisfaction is a lot of happy with a side of sad. 😉

    Interested in 301s...where are you?

  9. Relative newbie to the forums and need some help.  How can I find the official Klipsch pdf spec sheets for discontinued models?  I see folks post them from time to time...where do you find them? I've got old Heresy's and HIP's and am interested in building a single HISM as a center channel for a 5.1 HT system but need the specs.

Love the forums and all the knowledge I'm able to gain by osmosis here!

You've got my speakers.  They were sold on the Nashville Craigslist and my brother picked them up for me.  I bought them to be used at events at my church.  That surely means "Audio Systems" was the one on 23rd Ave N in Nashville, TN.

Ah, yes, I'm just outside Nashville. I love knowing a little history behind them and knowing they've been owned by a fellow Ducatisti. I haven't been playing church music on them, though...

Audio Systems in Laredo, TX?  They used to have the whole Heritage line on the showroom floor.  First time I heard Klipsch speakers was there.  They had the top end gear from alot of manufacturers and car audio gear as well all the really nice Alpine components in the late 70's early 80's.

Not sure how widespread Audio Systems was.  I know they were present in Nashville at that time.  Thank you for the specs!

In 1977, the primary Klipsch dealer in Nashville was Audio Systems, off Elliston

Place, and that was where I first heard Klipsch.  They were astonishing!  One demo was a quad setup with K-horns in the front and Belle Klipsch as rears.   It recreated the sound I'd recently heard in the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in a completely believable way!  It started my Klipsch journey.

I think I still have an Audio Systems reciept from that era.

Rumour had it that Nicholson's Hi-Fi carried Klipsch after Audio Systems died.

I just acquired a set of HIPs and sent the serial numbers to the historian out of curiosity.  Sold to Audio Systems in 1981.  Made me smile.

    Which desmoquattro?  😉
