  1. Want to trade me your rc3II for my sb2's??
  2. A couple of weeks ago I purchased a Marantz TT-251 off ebay for $31. It got to me in excellent condition. Not a scratch anywhere. I put a new MM cartridge and let it go. It sounds so much better than the last TT i owned. Also, it is plugged into a Denon 3802 which I have heard alot of complaints about the phono amp. Sounds awesome to me. Could be the MM cartridge with the higher output--lower qaulity though. Has anyone else here owned a Marantz TT and if so.....what'd ya think about it?
  3. And did I forget to mention..... They have a 10 month same as cash, no interest layaway program. Also....... They allow upgrades. I just brought back the sb-1 speakers and traded them for sb-2's. Just gave them $100 and the sb-1's.
  4. I live in Austin. Dyer electronics sells Klipsch. Patrick is the salesman there. It is located a block or two North of the The Home Theater Store on burnet. Go to www.dyerelectronics.com . Tell them that Jason sent ya. This is where I bought my klipsch speakers.
  5. Anyone here have one of these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1385518032 I would like to get a tube amp, but I am on a limited budget. These amps are brand new with 5 yr warranty. Anyone have any info??? Thanks again
  6. I have learned alot about turtables, difference cartridges, and difference output levels of different turntables in the last couple of days. Heres what I found. The better turntables require the inline phono amplifier b/c of the low voltage levels. If a turntable with the low voltage output is plugged into the denon, it will sound terrible......weak. Based on this, I purchased a cheaper turntable b/c of my budget.....and it sounds great. No phono amp needed. I made my purchasing decision based on budget. Go with cheaper turntable that will work with denon, or go with more expensive that will require a external phono amp. Thanks for all the input.
  7. I'll be trying it out today. If it sounds terrible I'll try the phono amp.
  8. I am confused about the whole turntable pre-amp thing. My brother has given me a gemini turntable with a mm cartridge. I have heard that a pre-phono amp is needed to make the turntable work with the 3802. Is this only if it has the mc cartridge? The manual does not mention anything about a phono pre-amp. It does mention not to use a mc cartridge. Can anyone clarify this for me? Thank you. 9. Anyone else here own one of these amps or have specs on it?
  10. Couple more questions. Should probably make them seperate threads....oh well. Does anyone know the exact specs for the POA-2800? It sounds great with the 3802...brings out better bass and a cleaner more dynamic sounds. Does it run class A? Also, I have a 14 month old daughter. Any suggestions for babyproofing speakers without moving them off the floor? I saw a thread that mentioned wrapping speaker with yarn. Any other suggestions?
  11. I am new to klipsch. I have a pair of RF3II speakers with a Denon 3802 and Denon POA-2800 amp. I have not purchased surrounds yet, but it will be all klipsch reference. I also just bought a pair of SB-1's for my bedroom. Before I found klipsch, I had (and still have) my cerwin vega ls-15's. My ears tell me that the Klipsh speakers sound alot more accurate..very musical. My question however is.... anyone here have experience with cerwin's? If so, what are your opinions. **by the way, the cerwins are now collecting dust in the closet** Denon 3802 Denon POA-2800 Klipsh RF3II ----------- Bedroom Onkyo Receiver Klipsch SB-1 ----------- Closet LS-15
  12. I have a Denon 3802 with a Denon POA-2800 amplifier. The speakers are RF-3 II. No noise here. ------------------ Denon AVR-3802 Denon POA-2800 Klipsch RF-3 II Cerwin Vega LS-15
