  1. I have sirius radio and I have been very pleased with it. I chose Sirus for their sports programming. The music has exceeded my expectations. If i was to make on recommendation is wait until the all in one units are readily available. Current most headsets require a seperate receiver. the all in ones will will not need a seperate receiver it will be all inclusive. Some of the headset companies are switching to sirius due to XMs support of auto OEMs. this means the after markets companies are being snuffed out. the reception is not perfect, on country roads where the trees hang over the road creates a situation for drop outs. I found it took a little getting used to no commercials but then again that is the main I chose to pay for radio. And yes it is worth paying for. I do not need someone trying to sell me something 20 to 25 minutes of every hour.
  2. I am not partial to any particular band. the reason who I like them is because it is real music. it has emotion, depth and character. Of course not to mention actual humans creating the sound. the sound of the brass, horns, woodwinds percussions and others creates delightful coordinating and complimentary sounds.
  3. well I took it out today, and I really need practice backing up with a trailer. The thing scream and at 62 with a little more trottle to go I was holding on for dear life. Easily hits 58 with 400 pounds of rider, turns on dime. the OPAS system is very useful. I did manage to roll it with 3 people on it. It happens very quick and it takes one by surprise. it was a lot of fun and the dangers are pretty evident. All in all what a heck of a toy. Scott
  4. Georgie thank you for that feed back. I tried and tried but they basically told me no no and no again. As soon as I mentioned a price they pulled out the 2 stroke models, as soon as I mentioned 4 stroke models they put the price back up on top. thanks for the support. I can't wait until sunday.......Voom voom FRZ topping out at 55 mph, I would say that is buzzing right along. Scott
  5. boom, this is our first water craft. It may be sometime before my son gets up on skis/ski. I will be able to tell you how much the kids enjoy tubing. The dealer put me in contact with an owner of this machines baby bro, same engine just some cosemetic differences, and he assured me that pull 2 tubes or a skier is like a hot knife going through butter. So I told my wife about it and she said we can't afford it. I expected that and if she didn't say it it would worry me. thenshe started asing a number of questions like; Would we be able to tube/ski with it 4 stroke or 2 stroke and is four stroke easier for me (meaning her) can my escape tow it are there any 2003 left overs how much are life jackets is it a 3 seater then the closing comment lets wait til next year. Never how much is was, of course this is where the secret sluch fund comes in. I threw wome money at it to get the payments very low. I wish I didn't have to work today.......
  6. 155hp and the ski pole is retractable/removable. It also comes with 2 different keys. One of the keys limits the engine rpms so a rider can get about 55% of full speed and the other keys allows full speed. I ended up going with the 4 stroke engine for ease of use for the entire family. Just put gas in and go. Not one dealer would budge on MSRP but instead they include the trailer, cover, lifejackets and other goodies. In the end it was much more than I ever thought of paying for one but I can not wait to get it on the water.
  7. Thank you for all the advice and warnings and concerns. I pick the ride up tomorrow http://www.seadoo.com/NR/rdonlyres/8E7CA5F3-F7D3-486E-B44F-F041127C39F2/0/Bkg_03_Large.jpg'>
  8. Roy, I have extracted some go info. I am not sure how much more water saftey training/rules of the road I need but will investigate the options. Insurance in Massachusetts is a scam to say the very least. Still not sure what ride I am going with but will know by the end of the week. In the vast number of hobbies and experiences I have grown to appreciate those interests others enjoy. This is not to say I too enjoy the same hobbies/experiences but either way to try new ventures and trying to view issues from both sides is challenging when presented with bias and out of date information. With the way manufacturing and and the speed in which newer technologies can be incorporated in the products we use is mind boggling. Most of us experience this on a daily basis as our audio gear, computers, tvs and so on become old and nearly outdated with every new model year. As for most that have spoken, I would venture to say the opportunity to experience PWCs has not been taken advantage of. But then again the wind whipping thru ones hair or across the face with the possiblity of at any moment the catching some air of wiping out and simply the thrill of it all may not create any appeal. That is understandable but for me the thrill of flying down a mountainside with a snowboard attached to my feet or racing down a hill hanging on for dear life as the bike is bouncing every which way or flying down the ice chasing a puck trying to out skate the opponent all the time knowing I could slide into board and hurt myself or getting absolutely crushed into the boards or standing in front of the net getting the crap pounded out of me jsut for the potential opportunity to put the puck in the net (that is one of the biggest rushes for me). The couch is for recovery not enjoyment As with anyting it is the responsibility of the individual to operate with in ones ability and respect those around them and not jeopardize others safety.
  9. I own a gun therefor I must be a killer I own a truck therefor I must be a reckless tail gater I own an ax therefor I must be a lizzy Borden I drink beer and wine therefor I must must be an alcoholic I have over 15 hockey sticks I must be a Marty McSorely in the making I play hockey therefor I like to fight and sucker punch people Now that I own a gun, drive a truck, drink beer and wine, have hockey sticks and play hockey does that mean I am going to drink, drive, shoot up a convenient store and beat people with my hockey stick after biting a head off a bat becasue I just finished listening to an Ozzy song? Or Use my gun on a range, use my truck to pick up lumber and as a mode of transportation, concume beer and wine resposnsibly, use an ax to chop down small trees, use my hockey sticks to play hockey and play the game for the love of the sport.Hmmmmm I am looking to own a jet ski to get back at all those fishing people for purposely trying to kill fish with metal hooks. How would you feel to have some one stick a metal hook in your mouth then pulled on it like a son of a gun, cut off your oxygen medium just to get a freaking picture then rip the hook out of your mouth and throw you back in with a ripped up face? For you swimmers you better get out of my way and stop peeing in my drinking water. ahhhh I feel better
  10. I am surprised that most of the negative posters never took into account where I live. Hmmmmm a stones throw from the ocean, not some small ponds in the middle of nowhere or north of the border or some National Park. For those that have contributed positively thank you.
  11. Yes in Massachusetts there are restrictions on certain bodies of water and is the responsibility of the town to determine their water way usage. I still find it rather laughable the stereotyping my question for informaton has created. Perhaps it's a good thing I didn't ask anyone about a good wine, I am sure I would be refered to AA or MADD or someother group to treat me for alcohol abuse. Glad I came here for some info. I have looked at the Hondas and is on the top of my list.

My opinon ya understand. ---------------- T Having spent 10 years underwater poking around at 4 to 6 knots at depths around 400 feet I have no desire to wait for wind to push me along. Not having any desire to sail the thrill of the speed, agility, and fun of the jet ski appeals to my son, wife and me. As far as sailing goes we both know how to sail, the rules of the road, I know how to visually and radar navigate over 9 major water ways of the East Coast, Puget Sound and the Straits of Juan de Fuca, also know international rules of the road and so on and so on. I also know how to visually navigate using range markers, buoy interpretation, open ocean navigation/channel navigation, update and make chart corrections, plot postion, set and drift and adjust for course and speed, use of a sextant to obtain position fixes and determine advance and tranfer for large vessels and much more. I have navigated trident subs in and out of ports via radar, periscope, gps, gyrocompass, and plots. There are other means of navigating subs in order to obtain postional fixes while submerged which required many other aspects of navigation in order to execute the oepration. I feel I am very well versed in the great american culture of navigation and the art there of. Being an avid mountain biker I am used to the hikers bombardment of the negativity of making use of the same medium. Sorry T but having spent as much time learning the art of navigation I am ready to ghetto it and join the low lifes and enjoy the speed and brainless use of the waterways. The funniest thing happened to me when some brainless moron started ragging on me about snowboarding. Being only 5-6 he had no idea i was as old as I was and so on. so the next run I slapped on the skis and embarassed him. It was sweet revenge especially when he saw me take off my helmet and goggles and noticed I was about 10 years older than him. hehehehehehe just my background. I do appreciate your input tho.
  13. I have gotten the go ahead to purschase 2 jet skis for the family. the only thing is I know absolutely nothing and what to look for. These will not be used for any competition but will be for very casual enjoyment. any help or info abou tthe different brands would be greatly approciated. Thanks Scott
  14. on the back of a trailer full of racing horses "Caution Slow Horses" Funny signs at several nearby hospitals "drive quietly" on the back of a mini "I forgot to biggy size" Cleaning contractors logo "dirty deeds done dirt cheap" Stay back 300ft Blonde driver
  15. There is an excellent review on the PB2U on hometheaterforum.com http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=201221
  16. Why are you limiting the out put of the PB2+ to below 40? Also how much breathing room does the PB2+ have. If the RSWs are right next to them how close is the PB2+. You might be smothering hte PB2. jsut a thought
  17. Bill This particular sub you were looking at would rate below or almost equal to the KSW line. My parents had the 12 version and the sub was so exaggerated every thing coming out of it sounded like a long drawn out 50 hz test tone. I had the P1000 and P500. I think you would yield better or equal results if you ran an rca cable into a shoe box. To be quite frank, if I have already been, look elsewhere. Klipsch RSW12 or an SVS or even a Hsu. do not skimp on the sub, it will really bring the most out of your system. I can assure you you will feel slated with CSW over time if not immediate. Good things about the CSW Newton subs, convenient controls and a nice veneer box but the quality of sound to dollar was simply disappointing. Good thing about the sub you listed uhmmmm let me think.......hmmmmmmm.........hmmmmmmmmmm I am getting there. Can't think of anything right now
  18. Having recently sold a pair of RS7 (side surrounds) the reason was not so much a quality issue as the type of speaker. SACDs and DVDAs sounded like crap with the rs7s on the side. let me rephrase that, I was not able to achieve th sound and/or effect for multichannel music and movies. Having a rather small HT the RS7 was was spreading the sound out so much it was getting lost in what the fronts were pumping out. With the RB75 replacing the side RS7s the seperation is much more noticable. For me that makes movies and music more enjoyable. The rears are still RS7s. Scott

  20. Ken that is funny. Although I disagree for knowing what an union plumber makes they can easily walk in after some 1 day jobs and snag an amp or receiver. As my brother told me, never ever judge a customer by the clothes they wear. He is a very successful salesman. Having some very expensive toys in my HT, it brought me great pleasure this past week when I stop in for a visit to one of the dealers that snubbed me because i was in jeans. He did not recognize me so I explained what I had, showed him pict of the HT and I could see him adding up all the gadgets. He rattled off a number and I said yeah and it would have been all yours if you didn't snub me in the first place. the first time I left the store I made a remark to my firend as we were leaving as we passed the counter. The comment is gross and definitely unforgettable. He remembered and gave some lame excuse. when he figured in the prices of the klipsch, pioneer 49txi, parasound halos a23 and 52, pioneer dvd 47ai and 59ai, LG3200A dtv/ota hdbox and the NEC plasma I could just see the commission dollars flying out of his pocket. so one might ask how I got his attention this time around. I went into the sound room and put in barry manilow.
  21. Someone on the Spot asked if these are Klipsch knock offs http://shinallandcompany.com/
  22. I have seen drivers lik ethis frequently at Tweeters. No fault of the dealer, I have seen little kids torturing speakers while their parents was without interest or responsibility. Jsut once would I love to see a salesperson turn to the parent and say, What in the hell are you thinking, control your tyrrant of get the hell out my store.
