No darling, you're not fat - but I'd avoid the beach if I were you - we dont want Greenpeace throwing you back in again....

Buddy of mine told me about a female "companion" he couldn't get rid of:

"She was so fat you had to roll her around in flour to find the wet spot".

  2. I'm using ChorusII's up front and KG4's in the rear, basically because I already had the KG4's when I purchased the Chorus. Good Klipsch is tough to find in Korea, so after looking for five years, I jumped on the Chorus. You take what you can find here.

They sounded okay together until I upgraded the 2uf caps in the Chorus(the KG4's had already been upgraded). Now they sound great together.

    I liked it....very different...

    Subtle humor....

definitely a movie for people over 18....and preferable those who have been married or engaged...

I liked it a lot for the same reasons. I'm a KRUSTY kind of guy, don't usually get a lot out of "mellow" movies like this. My idea of comedy is the first half of "Full Metal Jacket".

Maybe I related to this flick because right now I'm in a troubled engagement/relationship with a beautiful korean woman who bears a resemblance to Sandra Oh.

Also, I was raised in Ventura, California so a lot of scenery is familiar from my youth(the Oxnard sequence was NOT shot in Oxnard).

Favorite line; Haden Church to Giamatti:

"I say, f**k therapy, and f**k that Xanax you're taking, you need your joint worked on!"

Oh man, I lauged my A$$ off during this movie. I was crying. I loved the 'vomit' scene..just shows that some really juvenile humor is still hilarious.

    America! F Yeah!

My favorite part was Michael Moore suicide bomber.

I also enjoy the slams the Koreans get (I live in Korea). They are full of themselves and their music sucks!7.gif

I didn't expect to ever come back to this thread again, but have had a surprising experience. I finished my ALKs a few days ago, and as part of the build I went with some 10AWG Solen air cores which I mounted on separate boards because of their size. The DCR of the 10AWG air cores is .16, the same as the Erse Super Q steel laminates I've been using from Parts Express. FWIW, there's a pretty big difference in the bass. After an hour or so of listening I put some Super Q's into the circuit to see what it would sound like, and though still very good, sounded lean in comparison, and not nearly as full bodied and tight as the air cores. I've had the beasts laying around for a long time, and I'm glad I finally found use for them. I didn't expect to hear a difference, wasn't even listening for it, but it was pretty obvious.

    Dean,

Thanks for trying 10AWG woofer air cores out for me! 9.gif

Been thinking of doing it for my ChorusII's but the separate board thing, etc. has held me back. Now I've got the experience of someone I respect before I shell out the bucks for a pair of those monster coils.

The Fortes or Choruses could work for you too. The Fortes go deeper then the KG4s or Cornwalls but don't sound as BIG or WIDE-OPEN as the Cornwalls do. The Choruses can give the same midrange as the Cornwall, but don't go as low. To chose either of them would be a compromise that could be avoided by simply going with the Cornwalls.

    I agree with Heresy2guy.

I would however suggest you consider keeping the KG4s and employing them for the rear channels. Add the Cornwalls up front. There are some here on the forum that might say this won't work timbre and voice wise, etc. I'd reply that this approach is absolutely worth a try.

I'm using the KG4's as rear channel with some ChorusII "replacements" and I'm glad I kept them! Everything is there, midrange detail, floorshaking bass, dynamics; visitors are always impressed. Upgrading crossover caps in both sets of speakers helped keep the overall timbre matched.

If you try this, and it doesn't work out for you, then you can sell the KG's.

Not quite the same situation you're dealing with, but my KG4's work surprisingly well with my ChorusII's driven by my Yamaha 7.1.

Careful, you might be supporting my point...6.gif

A man was sitting on a beach and he had no arms and no legs.

Three women walking past felt sorry for the poor man.

The first woman said "Have you ever had a hug?"

The bloke said "No", so she gave him a hug and walked away.

Then the second woman said "Have you ever had a kiss?"

The bloke said "No", so she gave him a kiss and walked away.

Then the third woman came up to him and said "Have you ever been f****d,

The bloke said "No", so she said "You will be when the tide comes in!"
