Good point but....not always necessary if you are careful. AK4 horns are pretty much all the same assuming they are in good condition. If they are priced well, drivers can always be replaced if necessary.

No affiliation.....This looks like a reasonably priced set of La Scalas with the optional grill frame and cloth from 1985 with Crites Woofers.....on eBay.....auction and buy it now....these may go for less than the $2475 BIN price. There is a reserve in place on the auction part..... Vintage 1985 Klipsch La Scala speakers LS-BR -- Idaho Falls, ID I used Uship to have my set of La Scalas delivered from IL to OH for $250. This is a good option for shipping over distance. Even at the buy-it-now price, these seem reasonable and eBay does offer buyer protection.

The opening bid price seems very reasonable to me.....this is a slow time on eBay and it may sell at or close to the open...... Colorado Springs is close to a major interstate for trucking these to most places in the lower 48........ The ones I had in the 1980s actually rode from the DC area to college in Ohio in a diesel-powered Rabbit with a roof rack. No kidding!
